I would like to correct my previous comment. I hadn’t watched the whole video at that point. You’re dead on about why we need a social for that amount and why we can’t really tell the whole truth. We can say “we’re federally required to have your information on file for this transaction” but we cannot say why. If Nevada gaming or compliance found out an employee was telling guests how avoid a reporting threshold, immediate termination, revoke our f their gaming license, and, potentially, if serious enough… even jail time.

Yup. I lived there for just under a year and I saw my share of yellow tape and upon brief investigation usually suicide or excess drug OD. Its actually kinda depressing how much bad stuff happens.

I've only seen that at a couple of places. I'm used to it on groups of 6 or more. They typically get 18%, then I can add as I wish. They do that because those large parties take up time and space and if they stiff the server on the tip it's ridiculous.

If they do add an automatic gratuity, I add a big $0 to the tip line. I used to wait tables and work in bars. I tip well when it's deserved, and I'm not extorted.

Blame the Europeans. They had to do that because Europeans don't tip.

It's more of a failsafe for time and money made iv had couples sit for hours and I mean hours come in after opening leaving around 9pm not leave a single tip cuase they were just there to catch up had water the whole time and left nothing some ppl are like that I think 10 percent should be a mandatory gratuity can't blame the server if your wife left ypu today and nothing makes u happy the service the food and that leads to close to nada on the tip so I get it and it should be doubled for party's five and more you taking up my tables and my time with them

I agree that his videos are very good, but he is getting paid a fair amount based on the number of views, so don't feel too sorry for him.

He's actually only about 50/50 on his accuracy. I've worked numerous casinos in California and Reno and most of what he said is BS or just the basics. You want the real secrets of the casinos? We have no secrets. Everything is out in the open. It's obvious we won't tell you when a celebrity is staying with us, but that's the same with ANY guest who asks for privacy. Most celebrities use an alias when they check in, and that's all we see when we look up the room info, not the real name, so we usually don't know either.

BAM! Not to sound like the conceded jerk, but I was a buffed, good lookin' dude in my younger days, and ppl would laugh about how I got the great service from the cocktail waitresses. And I'd often tell them how they must have missed my entry trick. I'd walk in, flag the very first girl I saw, and no matter how long it took or how weak the drink was, I'd Fat-Tip her when she returned, 99.9% of the time that changed any slow returns of weak drinks for the rest of the night 😉😎👍

You're right. Being known as a good tipper will take you far. Those hotels keep notes on customers. If you start tipping on arrival, you're guaranteed to have a most excellent stay.

Crazy, I don't tip and I have towels, and toiletries, and the coffee station is always stocked. I might leave something at the end of my stay if they've done a good job consistently.

BUT DO SHIFTS GOSSIP, WHOSE THE BIG OR GQQD TIPPERS? PLUS, THERE ARE DAYS OFF. NEW STAFF? HOW CAN YOU BE SURE THAT YOUR TIP, SPREADS AMONGST THE MANY STAFF?

When you expect a tip from a winning player at a casino (as a dealer) you have to be smart enough to equate (understand) the player's frustration towards you when they lose. After all, since you don't control anything in reference for wins or losses, why are they tipping you when they win?😊

Odd I would think like dealers better to know your first name than last. It might be more respectful being a guard and last name, but a whole lot easier to find you on the outside or have someone else find you. Especially as most prisons are smallish towns. A lot easier to find a gal with a last name of Wyatt than it is to find a Stacy:)

I always tip cash. I never auto tip as I know that employee won't get a dime. Besides, I tip well over $2 a day for my housekeeper. They work hard and always treat me very well.

I only tip if I win big. Other than that I just tip for dinner or housekeeping.

Their advice is all nonsense. Tip them to be nice but in the long run you'll lose at the rate you're supposed to. They tell you to bet a lot bc if you win you'll likely make more in tips. Same as BJ dealers telling people to bet ripoff side bets bc the rare times they hit people tend to tip.

They are paid horribly and although I tidy up room, they still are scrubbing it after me $5-$20 is nice as they knock 6-8 rooms a day.

I'm a $10-$15 per night guy. I'm neater in hotel rooms than at home and don't need a lot of attention, but hey, those housekeeping folks work hard for low pay and deserve something extra.

Seen many shows in SPARKS at the NUGGET ... the "STEPPING OUT" package was the BEST and for that I would pay $20 for a SEAFOOD BUFFET and the SHOW 😊

Exactly. I dealt swing shift for fifteen years, and too many people don't even have a basic, working idea about the tables. You want instructions at midnight on Saturday night, you're on your own.

I've heard dealers tell certain players, "Hey, 10 AM is the time to learn how to play." They'll help you some most of the time, but not at a full table. And there's the problem of the player understanding simple explanations; as the saying goes, "I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you."

Yep, slow times are the BEST times to go and learn a new game. Also I have found that slower smaller casinos have more customer service focused teaching of a table game versus the rude behavior I experienced during my birthday at vegas this year at the large casinos... Laughlin, or your local indian casino during slow times is a great way to go and learn how to play some of the more complex table games, like craps. Laughlin even reduced the 15.00 minimum to 10.00 during the slow time to encourage more playing. Which with a game like craps is great cause you want a couple of bets on the table to hedge against your losses. People don't want to be dealing with newbie questions during a busy craps game, but if you are lucky the players will help teach you where to bet.

Doesn't matter. They have to explain it if asked at anytime. Mad or not that is thier job.

The only complaint that was ever lodged against me was on a Saturday night from a player on a full Free Bet table that didn't like my brisk tone when I tried to quickly explain why his pushed free split didn't earn him any money. My floor told me about it later we had a good laugh about the palyer's lack of self-awareness

I used to work at a pub and occasionally ran into this issue. Whenever someone asked when a particular server or bartender would be working again, I’d reply with “he/she will be here on his/her next scheduled shift”. I said the same thing even if that employee had quit or got fired One guy asked me for one server’s phone number. I immediately said “get the fuck out”

I've been a dealer for 6 years at 3 different places and I have never censored myself. I tell people what I know, and what I've heard, as well as my opinion and no one has ever told me not to, but I'm SURE some places are not as laid back.

Idk where your husband worked but if you witness a fight on the strip they tell you wait for at least one other officer before you break it up. At no point are you ever trained to call metro and let it go on. You may have misunderstood him or he misunderstood the trainer. You absolutely stop the fight if you can but you dont just let them act a fool inside your establishment lol

Also if they can carry firearms or not, but again, it's to observe, report and act as a witness. And it depends on local police as well as city and state how they handle the grey areas which would be breaking up fights, throwing people out. thats why u see all this drama about walmart security at the beginning of the pandemic not really doing anything when people walked out of their doors with a shopping cart full of stuff. It's a liability and walmart can be sued because security has no job responsibility to stop an actual theft ( technically walking out the door of the walmart with unpaid stuff is theft ). And again , they are paid to observe, report, act as a witness to the police and walmart if charges are filed.

Why were they more likely to lose if you were dealing? I feel like these newer card shuffling machines are rigged. They literally reshuffle every hand in certain games (like ultimate Texas hold em) and for the dealer to mysteriously hit like 10-10 times is pretty obvious. I played multiple table games last time I was in Vegas and literally didn’t win once! I also know how to play. Sketchy af

The house has the mathematical advantage with every shoe and every dealer. The “cooler” is an old Vegas myth. The CSM’s are not rigged per se. As low cards come out of a traditional shoe the “advantage” can actually swing slightly to the player in some cases resulting in almost a 1.5% ODDS advantage swing to the player. Blackjack is the only game that the odds can work in a players favor based on the historical show of the cards. A CSM insures this NEVER is the case resulting in a permanent house edge since the deck will always keep the same amount of low and high cards in play… never allowing for the count to get high enough for the player to have the advantage.

I don't buy alcoholic drinks in bars or restaurants that often (anymore), but I've been known to tell bar managers, "OK, let's get an unopened can of a soft drink and see if your "12 ounce glass" can hold all of it." They usually give me a larger glass rather than argue. Yeah, I've also been asked to leave a few times.

Maybe he was working because he wanted to and not because he had to..I am 70 and I am living off the interest of several million dollars..I also make lots of money off of investing in crypto.. I work security and I also work Uber because I like being around people and helping people.. I also do Hands-On work helping the homeless and Saint Jude's children hospital.. Luggage racks are a no go also - bathtubs are the safest available strategy. But... for those of us that fly to Vegas, carry-on and checked bags are also intermingling with bags that have clothes that had been packed into dressers, laid on beds, etc. Heat kills bedbugs effectively (aim for at least half an hour at 140 degrees F to ensure killing eggs, but 120+ will start killing the live ones.) So after getting back from a trip, since I live in a fairly hot location, I just leave my bags in the car for a couple of days.

Or just don't go to motel 6 or super 8 and it most likely won't have bed bugs

I literally did Vegas for under 1K. Pretty well under 1k. It's doable and I had a blast!!!! Just research, have a plan, if going with friends make a strategy but most importantly have strong will power as scammers are everywhere. I'm from a big city so it's nothing new to me. Trust me its doable and you'll have fun!

As a Caesars reward member, you can get some great deals across all Caesar owned hotels. Always use the reward card on purchases and gather points. Then check the hotels and calendar days and watch for the promo deals. We just booked a few nights at the LINQ with two nights being $110 and the last being $53

My work brings me in contact with various types of celebrities - musicians, sports players, actors, etc - and usually I don't speak to them unless they speak to me. I'll smile, with a friendly nod, and if they say something I'll respond briefly and pleasantly. They have to initiate any conversation.

I have never figured out why some would want an autograph anyway, unless it was to sell to someone else.

Yup. When entering the room. Immediately search for bed bugs. Even if I don't find any I use bed bug spray ( good ones) and spray around the bed frame, door and cabinets. Anywhere they can be at.

You don't get arrested for the $10,000 rule. Its a report the government requires. Its called a "Cash Transaction Report" aka "CTR". It is a way for the federal government to trace large cash transactions. All business must comply with it. Under federal law, if you are at the $10,000 limit and you refuse to produce valid personal I.D., the business is legally bound to refuse the amount over $10,000.

I was a beverage manager on the strip for a decade. Fired more than one employee for telling people they had to tip to be served complimentary cocktails.

I tip on the end not up front. The tip is for good service not being ragged on by employee first. You tip upfront and you get your car back and the hand is out again for a tip. How do they know if you tipped up front or not, they don't. Simple any negative discussion about tips should get you fired

@@gypsymoontarotofficial There are separate rules for reporting gambling winnings, and for reporting cash transactions of any kind. It's hard for a casino to track gambling winnings unless at a slot machine or something.

It used to be $3000 but has since raised to $5000... I know that is the limit for Poker Tournament winnings. I think slots are less than that.

Yep, casinos used to be great places for money laundering, back before Vegas got prettied up and made "family friendly".

@@metaleggman18 It is not at all uncommon for poker players to hold on to their chips and instead of taking them to the cashiers window sell them to other players that need to buy chips. But this has to be done discreetly as casinos will get after anyone caught selling chips to other players.

Sorry to hear your sad encounter! My father worked for Caesars in Atlantic City for 25+ years. One day when he was walking out of the casino after a long night shift he was going to his car when a man’s body came falling from the sky and landed no more then 15 feet away from him. He has nightmares of it to this day. He said the sound it made and the actual bouncing of the man’s body were unforgettable to him. He jumped from almost the top floor of the Caesar’s hotel after losing an undisclosed amount. Sad sad sad
