@@TheLastMillennials "Were" actually. Our family start in the late 90's and early 2000's so tapes were still commonly used and were around. But I think it mostly had to do with not throwing out stuff you already have. It's quite normal for people who grew up poor to practice sustainable habits so yes that could be half the reason.
Dude I remember doing this with the CDs when I could never find the right one in the circle plastic container thing that held a bunch of them 😂 this song is a bop btw, one of my fav cartoons as a kid
Well... Gen Z grew up with CDs obv and the older ones grew up with VHS too. Maybe the real joke is that millennials don't know what tf gen z even means lol
Generation Z/Zoomers the generation born in the 2000s and 2010s, comprising primarily the children of the Gen X'ers and typically been raised with screens and are the most tech savvy, very much influenced by vloggers and internet celebs. Yeah we had VHS tapes and a CRT TV and didn’t have internet really until 2012. By then I was already 11 and my interests were stuck. I didn’t even start using things like mobile phones and that until 14 and widespread internet use in the home wasn’t a big thing until around 2013 anyway.

Ah I still remember breathing on a cd and running it with my shirt to clean it lol or the many times I held that stupid button to fast forward a vhs Disney movie lol
Imagine thinking gen z is that young I'm sorry you talking about the ppl younger then genz I still have my DVD and cd player honey don't and the big square tv with the VHS tapes too and don't get me started on plug and plays

@@TheLastMillennials no wonder I guess with a name like that you think of me as a "Fortnite kid " when I'm really a Minecraft/ Mario kinda gal I've never even touched Fortnite the thought of it makes me cringe I'm sure your comment was either for sarcastic reasons or educational non the less as a Gen Z I know what I am that was not the mishap and I do truly think I took offence to this when it was clearly just a joke or so I think so, but what do I know I'm just another "fortnite kid."
You guys might know about CDs, but what do you know about blowing into a Nintendo cartridge and then shuving two of them into the Nintendo system to make it work.
This is one of those videos that are so hilarious yet original they make you go “I’m glad i found u, funny video, ill never be sad again” and even though it’s naive, part of you thinks it’s true, so you keep watching it over and over. That’s this video right here. I’ll never be sad again
@@nhvkuy4675 I think it's stupid, if anything we should be united against the boomers and bring an end to the boomer reign. It's our time now and they can sit tf down with all their old ways.
I want CD but my parents won’t let me. They say they’re annoying, and when I want to buy used ones (because live DVDs sell out) they don’t let me just because they’re used. Like, I get that they can afford to buy me anything brand new, and I’m not complaining, but that’s kinda stupid. They’ve bought used things before, so I don’t see why I can’t do the same. It’s just some freaking CDs.
I remember these issues from when I was but a baby. Now I have progressed farther than millennials and am wearing maid outfits as we head into war, mini-guns in tow
Calling Gen Z people Babies, is a little insult, but at the same time comforting to know that it is the talking about certain people. And also, I grew up with Phineas and Ferb, this is a crime against humanity
Somehow I seriously doubt that (most gen-zers like to claim they grew up with old technology that was before their time) but even if you did does that make you feel more special.
@@fruff30 And does it make me feel special? Not at all. What I am doing however is pointing out the inaccuracy of this video. Why so bitter babe? Who so angry and bitter? Who hurt you?
@@fruff30 And furthermore its not a claim, its a fact. I grew up with VHS tapes, the SNES, the original PlayStation, etc. Plus, what reason would I have to lie about that lol? Like I said, angry and bitter.
@@aliceangel03 I'm not saying your lying about anything I'm just saying that just because you grew up using older technology that was before your time doesn't make you any less of a gen z kid. You don't even remember a time before the internet or cellphones because those things pre-date your very existence. I remember when I was around your age and 1st started using the internet (eons ago back when it was called the "Information Super Highway") I thought it was so cool at the time eventhough it was super slow and didn't have much content on it but for me it was something new and exciting. As apart of gen z you never got to experience the pre-internet age which was really my initial point.
