Congratulations! It was fun following this transformation to the end … up to and including the first few months of rentals. I enjoy the way you present this info in such an honest and detailed manner. Yeah, the best laid plans don’t always work out the way we figured it … but here’s proof that going with your gut and not cutting corners has lead to a property that is being very well received by the public. It didn’t surprise me to hear you were a broker (I too have been in real estate close to 20 years) as you have a good sense of what the market is looking for.
