If you were in the industry you would understand him and agree with him. Right now is not the time to become an owner operator. Company drivers are making more than us who own our own trucks and without all the stress and expenses that comes with it
@@Tyronewiggums1 what exactly do you run? Almost everyone in the industry is in the same situation, its not about us knowing how to run our trucks its about everyone else trying to kill the industry, dropping rates tremendously and diesel prices going up. Contracts getting taken away from others because they got an offer for $5 cheaper. If i didnt know how to run my truck i would’ve lost it all 8 years ago when i first started.
Car hauling is very different from general freight. That's why we don't always say what we make because literally every load is different. Ex: sometimes 5 trucks pays more than a full 9 car load of Nissan altimas. It's a case by case basis.
@@shadowdemon7770theyre hauling more than just your truck, they also gotta make up for dumb traffic, weather, food, diesel, oil, tires, maintenance, nitrogen, etc
@@timexcape7961is construction the end all be all for hard work? LOL I’ve done construction before for years and I am a beverage deliverer currently and my job now is 10x as hard
Everything comes with a price. People try to make things harder than what they are. Being away from family, brokers, breakdowns, it’s all apart of the game.
It all depends on how many cars your trailer can hold, where the cars are going, how much every car costs, wether or not you own your own equipment or even your own company etc. so much goes into it that they all make a difference amount. My dad hauls 3 cars at a time and he owns everything himself, he makes anywhere from $14k to $24k per month.
He is saying being an owner operator in this economy is not good. When Trump was in office owner operators were making money. With Gas insurance and maintenance.
@@jessetorres6317 Brother if you’re making 32K a month like you said in construction and that’s not enough for you, you’re a dumbass with your money then 😂
Its all about perspective. I know conpany car haulers pulling in 4k a week in 2022. Now they pull in 2500 to 3000k. They say its a bad time but thats based on what they were making before. Car hauling isn't a joke its some of the most difficult trucking you can do in the industry. First year car haulers usually union jobs doing training youll make 2k a week but youll get free family insurance and most these other trucking companies thats $300 a week in premiums so you have to consider that too
