Hey AsianMaiShow I work as a class A Hazmat driver for a construction company based out of Sacramento, CA and AZ , I make anywhere from 1,800- 3,000+ a week with weekends off , I got the pay stubs to prove it, little to none experience needed. Hit me up. By far the best starting company for a new CDL driver
SkilledEddie I asked a PEPSI driver about it one day and he said it’s strictly forbidden. There’s definitely different rules at every warehouse like you said.
Pepsi drivers and coke driver get work like dogs and get pay shit I feel bad for them I’m a ups driver and I make 41.51 an hour when I work 58 hours a week working Monday though Saturday I take home 2k and on August 2023 we going to get a new contract for another five years I been talking to some union reps and they say we might get a 5 or 6 more dollar raised so we will get $46.51 or $47.51 an hour pretty damm good
Got a job at Pepsi, starting the day after tomorrow as a merchandiser (in LA) - $20 per hour, meanwhile doing my class A training - so that I can transfer to driver position in a few months. That would be 30 per hour. But the thing about Pepsi is that like you mentioned - overtime they make real money when overtime kicks in! Another perk is - it is local - you only driver in the city- convenient for familymen. As an immigrant - I am very happy - but for people who were born in the US - probably not very tempting.
I’m a sales merchandiser for coke right now in Valdosta, GA! We work out of the tifton ga facility. I’m making $60K a year working 5 days a week but I’m still in college working to get a marketing degree. Going to night school soon to get my CDL and become a small store driver for coke! Stocking coolers/delivering Monday-Friday, our drivers average $1,100-$1,300 a week after taxes depending on the route they give you! Almost all our drivers are back at the warehouse and gone by 3pm every day lol it’s all about where you work/location and how good of managers you have! Ours are great across the board! I’ll have two backups in a few years, my CDL and my bachelors! It’ll be rough for two and a half years but well worth it in the long run!
Been with Pepsi about a year now. Not a bad job if you like to be home every night. Some days are long and some days are short but if you are looking to make big bucks I would keep looking.
Uglyest fucker. Drivers can expect to have about 28% scooped off their gross income (depending how you file) but the taxes aren’t at all the problem with Pepsi.
As a local driver in the foodservice its gets easier the longer you do it... after your first yr if your not lazy it turns into a walk in the park trust me...
Wait wake up 4am and pull a 14 hour shift everyday? That would take the life out of anyone. Not that I’m not a hard worker, but how much is too much. But thats just me.
I make around 63,000 gross working 5 days a week. I'll work the occasional Saturday. I typically do 9-10 hours a day, sometimes a few more. A lot of my customers on my route allow me to drop product so they can run it. I'm typically routed 12-13 and sometimes close to 14 hours but I usually shave off 3-4 hours off my runs. A light day is 7-8 stops, heavier days are 13-15 or more. Its def hard work and fast paced. I like getting done early so I hussle all day long.
I have averaged over 80k a year for the last 4 years at Pepsi. That's putting in almost 60 hours a week. Yes the work is heavy, but you need to man-up and work in life. God made you men for a reason. Get your Class A and put it to work. Pepsi always hires with no experience. Especially right now that no one wants to work. There is plenty of money to be made. You just have to work for it. God bless. "Nothing is better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and that his soul should enjoy good in his labor. This also, I saw, was from the hand of God." Ecclesiastes 2:24
@@BoBPrivateSecurity1 Some facilities will. Some are even paying for trucking school if you’re already employed there. It just depends on the state and facility.
I remember those days and never going back. I worked from sun up to sun down and on Saturdays sometimes and i had no life. I also worked for UPS for 6 years and u all ready know how they get down delivering 100 stops a day working 12 hours a day. Finally made up my mind in 2006 to get my own truck and never loooked back. Living the good life and also enjoying my freedom that I have owning my own Trucking company.
Former pepsi driver here i worked for pepsi for 21 months almost 2 years and i had to quit i just couldnt handle that job no more the days are long and you deal with so much stress when i left we were working almost 1000 cases a day i got pay by the hour i got paid 24.41 + overtime time and a half the money wasnt bad but wasnt great either i would take home about 980 a week working 4 days a week and about 1100 working 5 days but the work was too much i never understood why a truck driver had to stock drinks on a gas station cooler or on a dollsr store aisle i didnt became a truck driver to do that and then some store managers would treat you like if they own you all because pepsi makes its driver look like idiots and that also made me take the desicion to leave if you go to 8 gas stations in a day and 3 dollar stores you had eleven store manager telling you what to do pepsi makes its driver look like everybody's hoe so i after getting fed up i just quit in pepsi you are not even a truck driver you are just a merchandizer with a cdl your driving skills and you knowledge of trucks wont get much better at pepsi now im working LTL pick up and delivery and is so much better im making more money and im not working my ass off my body dont hurt anymore
That’s a good job for someone that has a high arched foot and can walk for miles and miles every day. 70k-90k with benefits is legit. Thanks for sharing the info
The Asian Mai Show - Official Trucking Channel I should add I have a flat foot and if I’m not wearing good shoes it gets painful to walk within a few minutes.
Pepsi can help you get you your CDL. No cost to you, just hustle with them for a bit. 8 stops a day is gravy/slow indeed. You will work your ass off. Rotate everything stock everything. Don't forget waiting forever to get checked in. Some routes suck harder than others. If you get a good route its worth staying but I honestly feel like this is a step up job. Get your experience up and go into food service or something after some time. Some stops only allow one vendor in at a time. Other vendors may not be easy to work around. Tight coolers, small aisles. You're in the elements a little more. Not all Pepsi distributors have cool lift trucks. Some still have side bay trucks. Some independent distributors will charge you for out of dates. Some presalemen over sell for quota and have you looking wild.
You think food service is easier than Pepsi? I wanna talk about that. I work for Pepsi and food service seems like such a pain. Everything by hand truck, everything down stairs etc. sure you don’t have to pack out but it’s gotta be more physical no?
@@bloodredskymusic depends on your state. in florida, they dont pick product off the side loadrs any more. every thing in Geo box and built on pallets . you just roll the carts straight in to the stores
Coolie Kawi agree, all the distributors in north Florida keep the pay low to maximize profits. A lot of people leave to haul fuel local, or buy a truck and lease on some where. The quicker you get out the better.
55 hrs a week = over 1,000 a week bring home, 80 % of the time i am standing around, the key is to make good money and not be killing yourself, because it will catch up to you, i do have the x endorsement
To be honest, that's not too bad if he's ACTUALLY only working 50-55 hours a week on average and bringing in $1500. It depends on if they do the same shit as the USPS or Sysco where they estimate how long it "should" take you, instead of your actual hours though. Anyway, where I'm at, every trucking job wants to pay you like $250 per day, which doesn't sound too bad, but they make their shifts 13 hrs 59 minutes every fucking day, so you're actually working 70+ hours a week and 6 days for that $1500. I'm torn between doing this, which seems like a reasonably well paying, straightforward gig, or going with Sysco where the money should be there, but I'll have to deal with organizing a million different things in the truck every day....
obviously this was posted 2 years ago, but answering as someone who has done both... pepsi is way easier than any food service gig. sure you have to merchandise a little but the toll on your body is much less severe
This guy was probably doing his 6 months experience🤷🏾♂️ I’m about to go to CDL school and after I get my 6 months im going to a food service, for 2 years. Then haul fuel or heavy equipment or end dump and be home everyday 😂😂
I work for Coca-Cola as a side load driver cdl-a in the summer of 2019. I was started at $19.77 an hour working Monday through Friday and worked about 14 to 15 hours a day. most of the trucks don't have AC don't expect to get a truck with AC. most of their trucks are manual shift and their clutch are hard as hell, which ended up fuking up my knee. The managers were assholes did not help you at all took sides with customers, with the exception of just one guy, on top of that you need to deal with assholes customers who treat you like shit and expect you to be their third employee. The driving position consist of 10% driving 90% hardcore labor so you are not a driver! This type of job and this type of company is exactly why I got my CDL to stay away from bullshit crappy jobs like this! If you have any other questions just let me know and I'll give you info about how they were doing things in Coca-Cola
I work for Pepsi. Over 100 + vending machines, alot of restaurants, school cafeterias, and factorys. Mon-Fri, 5:30am- 1,2,3pm. Depends on how fast you work and your motivation for your job. I did over the road trucking and I been with Pepsi for 2 years. Every weekend off. Great job and company.
Get your tankers and doubles triples, come to the west to haul milk. Very light on the physical side and can still make 60-90 a year. Some guys make over 120 a year working extra days
Ok former Pepsi driver here. I need y'all to know that this video doesn't doesn't represent an accurate description of what the job is like. Ill break it down for you. The guy in the video appears to be non union which is rare for pepsi but I've heard some small beaches are this way. I personally worked for a teamsters branch which is waaaaaaay better. When I got hired, NO CDL WAS REQUIRED!!! You only needed a class A permit and they trained you on the job how to drive. They had me come in on Saturday's (paid) to meet with a mechanic who was a certified trainer in order to learn the pre trip and maneuvering skills to pass the test (learning the pre trip from a mechanic is an actual game changer btw). When you feel comfortable, Pepsi will pay for you to take your road test at a DMV or a Local trucking school. Not only is your CDL FREE, but I got PAID to get it! Now lets break down the pay. Pepsi's pay depends on what job you actually do. All jobs are usually hourly except the typical delivery guys that you see like in this video, those guys are on commission. This is were every new guy starts, the cushy no touch jobs come after you gain seniority. When I worked there, we were paid $60 the moment we clocked in at 6am every day, then you are paid .26 for each case delivered. My route was about 700 cases a day, and could be completed in 6-9 hours depending on the day. 40 hrs a week and I'm making $1200. Now this is were the money really starts flowing. The way our union contract was set up, if you finish your route early, you have the option to come back to the shop check in your route then go back out in a company car to help another driver finish his route quicker. At this point, you switch to an hourly rate + overtime so you'd make somewhere around 34/hr on top of what you already made for finishing your own route. Any time you work on a weekend or a day in which you are scheduled off, you got paid overtime if hourly and if commission, you were paid 8 hours straight pay on top of your regular route pay. There were a lot of guys touching close or over $100,000/year when I worked there. Pepsi has very good benefits and a 401k, the union will also provide a good pension. You can live a good life if you start young and put your time at pepsi.
I drive for Mexican restaurant chain. Im based out of Midland Texas. My route is to Dallas Ft worth. 2 day round trip twice a week and 1 local route between runs. 5 days a week. I gross 95k a year. Been doing it for 11 years been through multiple oil bust and kept working. Get in with the food industry no mater what happens everybody has to eat
Gabriel - It depends on your perspective. I work for Pepsico and they also own food companies. They own KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Quaker. Although we don't distribute food, all of our stock is connected to all of their companies. During the pandemic we were crazy busy. We own Aquafina and Gatorade. We couldn't keep it on the shelf for 10 minutes during the pandemic. Our facility produces 31,000 cases of Aquafina per day and we sold out as soon as it was cleared for distribution. I've been averaging $85k per year. Obviously that's with 55 - 60 hours per week.
I been working for Pepsi about year now went in with no cdl no experience they train me help me get my cdl now I’m making more than $1200 a week working 6 day a week 50 to 60 hours a week. Very hard job nothing easy here
I worked local for a beer company with a light day of 13 stops heavy day of 25 stops and had at least 10-29 1/2 kegs weighing up to 170 pounds it was hard work I grossed 920 a week only for working 4 days I did it for 9 months only reason I stayed so long cause I had a good route I’m back otr flatbed had enough of that stuff
Damn... I'm over here slaving away for Amazon doing double duty as a local CDL driver and yard jockey for 18 bucks an hour... Not crying about it mind you, been working on getting additional endorsements in order to expand my job opportunities, passenger endorsement down, now working on my tanker and hazmat! This October will be my 2 year mark, hopefully will be able to move on to bigger and better things. Thanks Alex for all the great info!
@@86luisex back at it the next day wishing it was just a dream . I remember I used to cry sometimes because of how tired and hard it got I wanted to rest but couldn't
Do a video about Acme in Denver, Pa. Teamsters grocery haulers. No touch, 100% company paid benefits and pension. OT after 8. Making over 100,000/ year working 6 days/week. Let me know if you’re interested in more info. I’d be happy to share.
Thanks for uploading this motivation nice to run into someone genuinely interested in being positive and showing people they can be somebody and go somewhere lbs loved the music you choose for the end portion ☺️
I just spent $4,500 on truck driving school and can't get a driving job. Unless you have a job already you can't get a Class-A job. Pepsi won't hire unless you have 1 year paid driving experience.
here in CT Pepsi Offers 24$ a Hr I its a shame for that labor I been driving 15 years an for that Pay u guys are out your mind and probably just extremely desperate for a job I feel sorry for you pepsi people my advice get a no touch freight local Job your back will thank you in the future ...Old Dominion, Fed Ex , Ups Feeders, Good luck to you all I rather drop dead then to work for Pepsi They are paying drivers Lowest Pay close to Amazon 2nd in lowest truck pay Carry on and may u make it to 65 with a good back.. I make 42 an Hr at Ups Feeders after 4 years an I still get raises to to economic changers an teamster union contract changes I met a Pepsi driver that said he is brain washed and his boss wont let him leave
They got to start somewhere. Most of them probably just doing it for the experience anyways so they can get out the first chance they get. But yea 24 a hr is some BS for the amount of work you do.
That’s pretty good pay for a driver that’s just getting started, you also go home everyday, better than being over the road but it’s definitely hard work. The goal is to get that 1 year experience and move on, up here in the northeast with 1 year experience most companies start you at around 25 to 28 dollars an hour, top pay around 31-33 an hour, some pay time and a half after 8 hours, after 45 hours and some are just straight hourly pay with no overtime but the work is definitely way easier than what I seen on this video. Some of those companies are FedEx Freight, SAIA Trucking, UPS Freight, YRC Trucking, R&L Carriers, ABF Trucking, a lot of companies to choose from. Just ask the question that you need answers to, to find out if that company is for you.
That's my plan, bro. I started last week with Pepsi as a driver. I'm gonna give it a solid year, and then move on to something way easier. I'm sure Pepsi is a great company to work for but I want to keep the wear and tear on my body to a minimum.
I've worked for pepsi for almost a year now and my honest opinion is that one should only work for pepsi if 1) they are looking to get their CDL for free (or cheap) or 2) they are buying time to get a better job. I'm only 34 and was a former athlete, but I still wake up some days with a sore body from the constant grind of a 10+ hour day. But pepsi has bought me time to get endorsements on my license for a much better, less strenuous driving job
I work 4 Pepsi and no they don't want you drinking coke I found that out when I jus started and it was funny sat outside warehouse and manager put Pepsi in front of my Coke and I said man don't you ever put yo hands on my shit I'm from Brooklyn but this happens in Florida and another coworker said bro we work for Pepsi you drinking coke cola and I said I don't give a shishhh if it was piss ( out of sarcasm) manager apologized and I still work there but I don't bring soda anymore cause the fridge be filled lol
I work for Pepsi my first year 72k and 2 year 100k. Due to COVID maybe over 90k I was on the role to 110k Mon - Friday 40-50 hours a week with only working a few Saturday. My biggest check last year was 3400 ONE week. It was about 55 hours. Commission base
I work for Pepsi from 2001 to 2017 did merchandising driver and transportation. Great job but I had to move on to Kroger . Work nights and weekends but the job is not hard on your body and the Benifits is better and of course the pay 💰 lol . People ask me all the time why I leave Pepsi so I assume they don’t know driver pay for Ralphs verse store employees.
Work for Pepsi as a merch in SD. Trying to get my class A to drive with them. He’s right tho. When you first start out, you do a lot of hours on the side pull ups going to small formats stores. Work 10-14hr days.
been working for Pepsi doing this for all most 5 years.. its harder than the warehouse jobs I have had. You would not think delivering soda would be so exhausting but it is. Pay is really good for being a local driver $30.55 Monday thru Friday. Start work at 3-4am and get done anywhere from 1-3pm depending on your route/stops/speed. Benefits are fantastic, matching 401k with a company paid pension. health, dental, vision day 1!!! If you arent afraid of working go do it. i am currently looking because management has turned really bad for us drivers. Drivers at least at my warehouse are treated terrible! After 5 years of doing this type of work my body just does want to do it anymore.
This is my story in short 87-99 i worked for Pepsi it was great like a big family.great pay great 401 k and stock options .I sold & delivered my rt was like my own business Then pepsi changed and started to pre sale and i Became a number I put the max amount in 401 and pepsi matched a % 1999 to 2010 worked at US foods made more money less work same great benefits put the max in 401k 2010 went to work for Gordon food service this was the best same pay as US Foods but this is a family owned company and got great benefits but the icing owe the cake I got profit sharing every year the % of profit the company make that's % of profit i made never under 9% so if i made $100000.00 a year I got a check for $9000.00 on top of what i saved. along the way i bought property and backhoe tractor ect nov 12 2019 one day before my 54th bd I retired from trucks I do jobs with my equipment work when I want to off anytime i want to and i enjoy it.this was all made possible from trucking and hard work My friends that went to college will be working till they die!
I used to work for Coke in Fayetteville North Carolina, and I was working 6 days a week on a side load truck with 20-25 stops a day and only grossed $55k .... now I work for papa johns and deliver the food to the store and gross 100k
I work for coke in tx we work 5days a week, trucks have no AC, 13-14 hour routes everyday, you get home eat, shower and sleep. On weekends you sleep all day, and back at it. We have no life.
@@pvp64 it’s like where not appreciated for what we do, we keep the company running, you can have everything but with out trucks to distribute the product your nothing. I didn’t realize coke has such bad equipment. Even Pepsi and dp have better equipment.
I'm currently working at Pepsi, In the Warehouse. I have a t-shirt business... Pepsi has been utilizing my services at my plant and local plants surrounding this area. I'm working on getting a contract to provide custom Pepsi apparel for them
I work for Pepsi and just tested out last Friday and got my CDL from them. So far so good it's definitely labor intense coming from my last job where I just sat you down and sold stuff all day. I welcome the excise for the time being since I need to get in shape and everybody I've encounter there has been helpful and friendly.
For my cdl I’m going through a moms & pops shop here in Houston . It’s 850 to learn how to drive a automatic and 925 to learn manual. They’ll teach you & five 3 try’s to past the road test than you have to pay to use their truck again.
There's ltl companies that pay near 100k and you do have some unloading at least it's at a dock. I get black horse carriers in my inbox all the time home on weekends 96k a year.
Not knocking Pepsi but I work for a beer delivery company and we routinely get 10-22 stops a day. OT comes naturally at my work and it’s great money, but back breaking work.
Bruh!!! I work for Pepsi and I second your comment to “WORK YOUR ASS OFF”! I would like to make something straight, though. You don’t have to work every Saturday to make the amount he is. At the end of the week, you can only work 60 hours. Plus, if you work an extra day, management usually gives you a half-day sometime throughout the week to conserve DOT hours. Love what your doin’, mah dude!
J C it all depends, dude. Sometimes, I’ll work 11 hours a day. Others may have me work 16. Still, I (and everyone else as well) am limited to 60 hr weeks. Sometimes, I won’t hit the full 60, others I may. It all depends.
damn 8 stops is heaven, I was recently working at coremark here in LA and a hard day would be 25+ stops and an easzy day would be 15 stops. I stayed there 6 months and worked my ass off. true work but now i have the experience to branch out. Not going to lie a lot of people quit on day 1 but im glad i stayed and embraced the suck.
good money n if all trucks have a lift gate n fork lift its not too bad although not a easy gig ,, the guys on the trucks that pull a ramp out thats crazy and u can get hurt
I started Driving For 7up to get my experience for 1yr and 6 months after I got my class A I was making 21.45hr to start I made 60k my first yr at 7up doing a shit ton of overtime and I kid you not you will work like a dog tho lol and those damn store owners 80% of them treat you like crap like your their slave and are entitled to do everything they want. Food and beverage driving jobs are very physical I recently left to go deliver freight for rnl carriers now I feel like a actually truck driver I work mon-fri average 7-10hrs a day and make 31.19 an hr here in california the only downfall is we don't get times and a half for overtime we only make straight pay but the job is alot less physical and people actually treat you like a truck driver lol
There is no hourly pay the only hourly pay you get is on vacation I work for Pepsico every location pays different if you didn’t know ...btw those are my stubs sir... why bs ??? I got 3 kids a mortgage and 2 car notes it’s not enough money to be honest those are my last four stubs in a row look at the date ... it’s last weeks pay check literally ...how much more clarity you need? There’s no need to lie ...we grown men aren’t we?
Thomas Xenakis every location is different where I’m at we are commission and daily rate the dc an hour away from me they are pay hourly some make more some make less
Dude I went to Pepsi did the training and got hired. I turned that shit down! lol FUK THAT. The training was enough for me LMFAO. I busted my ass for 11 years doing electrical and hvac outside in Arizona before trucking..no way am I gonna bust ass again. I am getting 24hr right now pouring concrete driving a class B hitting 70hrs a week. overtime after 40. plus I'm getting a monthly bonus. Do the math. Damn I love this job! hahaha
Pepsi is trash workin hard or not. At least the one I worked for. They lied about my job. I was hired as a driver never drove. When I confronted them about it they just apologized and said I’ll see what I can do. I drove max 30 min in the yard only because I complained they we wasting my cdl.
Got my CDL working at Coke did it for 2 years it was the WORST JOB EVER. literally ruined my life I was angry everyday its hard work long hours. NOT WORTH IT AT ALL !!!
In New Jersey can you make 100gs working at Pepsi I currently work in foodservice I’ve been working foodservice for over 10 years can you make money working for Pepsi
i'm a ups cdl driver out of california- i want to move to texas but we can't transfer so i would have to quit and reapply. saw an opening for this job and started researching. his taxes were only $500? i get reamed for $1200 weekly.
I just got hired with Pepsi what is this Road test about I saw on the screen? Is it hard is it something all drivers do or only in certain region? Thanks I’m advance
You can curb that cdl cost you can start in sales Merchendising. Also some locations have merchendisers that follow drivers around and assist them. Prove your worth merchendising network and get to know driver supervisors and they’ll pay for your cdl training.
Bro I don’t get what is the hardest work ?? So you telling me this is harder than roofers, framers, construction, fencing?????? Please someone tell me can’t stand people say that this is hard work
Pays about right for me. You’ll work a ton but what kills it for me is all the bad equipment at my location. Makes it much harder to move the product. Lot of the routes are sent out overweight on trucks rated for 30k or 54k and be expected to just ignore it. Dash lights on, no ac, truck swerving while the steering wheel is straight. Wouldn’t recommend it.
