tips for some- u can get ALOT of baby supplies from fb marketplace, family, no buy fb groups etc. i just get neutral colors for baby so we can give to anyone who has baby down the road or if we have an oopsie 2nd baby. u can also call ur insurance for estimates on your birth and if there is any discounts that can be applied. When i called the estimate was $1,300 something. idk if this is just an all natural birth or what it includes so probably best to ask those questions as well. They said they can do 5% off if paid in full upfront (at least it’s something i guess) and also offers payment plan. i plan to bring my own after birth medication, i believe they give you motrin but i forgot the dosage. Hospitals charge way too much for over the counter meds. if im paying for pain meds i want the good stuff.

1000 wipes in one month!? That’s 33 wipes a day! That box lasts a few months for us. FYI sams club has newborn diapers 108 for $14

Yeah, I imagine not being efficient and practiced at diaper changes could mean several used per change…plus a few more here and there…I def could see 33 used per day at the start

Yeah just had our second one and now realizing how amazing our previous health insurance was. This one the birth will probably be closer to 5k as well :(

Everything has a cost. “Don’t but a _____, because it will cost you $____” is not really a rational approach because some people will value it as such.
