Not ready to work part time. Running AC whole day. Paying maid. No attitude towards resolving or helping the situation. Hats off to these kind of support.
I don't think so... look at their expenditures. Bhai, please recalculate their expenditures. They spend their hard-earned money to make their lives more luxurious. Jiske ghar main ac nahi hota unke bacche bimaar rahate hai? First of all, they have to concentrate on clearing their debt. Try to make life simpler. Itna maze to main apni 90k salaried job mein nhi karta.
The husband cannot NOT SLEEP if he is a cab driver. It is NOT sustainable, and he will end up with accidents and health issues. This is dangerous! We don't realize it until it doesn't happen to us. The wife will have to do something from home additionally, maybe tiffin service or something. I know easier said than done with two small kids, but their situation is precarious at the moment.
Respect 🫡🫡🫡 to Anshuman for offering one year of health insurance to this family. I think government should focus on this and run campaigns for Health Insurance awareness. Those family who is not educated enough, obviously they wouldn't be serious enough about taking health insurance, ending up with such situations. I wish this family recover from all debt soon and can restart their journey peacefully 🙏
@@nirav.p Insurance should be mandated in India and mostly government sponsored. A lot of us pay 1/3rd of our income in taxes ( just direct) so it’s a bare minimum for social security
What i feel Anshuman should give advise to avail government schemes. Like housing, gas connection, rashan subsidies, free school, Ayushman card for medical treatment, free vaccination. Some times we need to accept the reality of our situation, this realization as soon they accept better for them.
Government should not run campaigns on health insurance, they should provide one. They have left us as a prey to these shitty health insurance companies that will sell us insurances and will deny claims when its need is the most.
1 option could be: Wife start taking tutions at home..as she is educated. In this way, she will be able to take care of kids as well as support her husband.
In Mumbai.. A tiffin service is also very high in demand.. The investment will be low and profits will be high with no risk.. when the business grows this man can also stop driving cab and be full time in business... we have seen so many families fighting financial problems with this business model.. If you are reading this please consider it.. if you think you can.
01. They should target to pay the loan with highest interest first. 02. They could stay in Navi Mumbai in 1 BHK at 8K and later can apply for CIDCO LIG lottery. If they are lucky they can get house at much cheaper price. 03. The husband must have health insuarance (Subject to weight in check) 04. Wife can start tiffin service in Navi Mumbai. As husband is constantly driving, he can keep pamphlets in car and put some stickers to give wife’s business some visibility. 05. Husband can use his car for marketing purpose for digital advertisement that is digital signage on car roof. 06. He should look forward for getting tie ups in CIDCO or Navi Mumbai Airport (Just 1 to and fro trip will fetch him about 50-50 K per month for 9-10 hours duty post that, during weekend and national holiday he can drive Ola/Uber for additional income. 07. If the wife can find a job paying greater than 15 K, she can keep nanny for kids at 10-12 K and support the husband with balance income.
Any suggestions on my suggestion Anshuman ka ghar bechne wala idea ko thoda aur strech karte h. Aaj bhi surakshit kal k liye fd ho jayegi. Bas shahar chodna mushkil hota h par iski aur parivar aage ki jindagi better ho sakti h.

1. Bartan kapda khud krlo be pehle hi gale pe 25lakh ka fanda latak rha hai ab to comfort zone se nikalo at least ghar k kam khud krlo. I might look rude but fact I'm talking, 2. AC bhi band krdo ussy acha Cooler use krlo compromise kro 1-2 saal ki baat hai ha garmi me AC use krlo bas. 3. Car hone k baad b Bike hai wo b loan pe bc kr kya rhe ho yaar 😐 becho usko pehle. 4. Jab pata hai har mahine kisi na kisi se paise lena pad rha to bhai mahine k 30 days car chala le ussy acha. Family function attend kr k kya hoga. Home emergency samjh sakte hai par Teri jagah me hota to full time Car chalata jab tak loan na utar jata wo bhi bina leave rest k. Bhai nind hi nai aati itana loan sar pe rehta to Aram haram hi hota Mera 😐 me ye nai bol rha ki tum alasi ho bhai samjhta hu problem me rest b jaruri hai. BEST ADVICE GHAR BECH DAAL BHAI AUR PAY KAR DALO JO BHI EMI CHAL RAHE.
bhai the mom is overworked with 2 kids she cannot do everything on her own so househelp rehna parega cooler cause problems in lungs and is a strict no no for babies recommended by doctors . cooler lega to baad mein bacche ka doctor ka fees badh jayega future mein
Bat to sari sahi hai .. Pr 12-13 hrs se jyada cab driving jaisi job nhi krni chahiye ... Nind or rest puri honi chahiye.. Nhi to jld bimar ho jayega ..
He earns about 40,000 inr in a month by working 12-14 hrs a day. But it is still not enough as he has about 26 lakhs inr worth of debt. He had to take huge loans as to pay off medical bills as his mother suffered from cancer.
My mother is a school teacher since last 30 years... when i was small , she used to keep me with neighboring aunty and both my parents used to go to work. They used to give milk, money every month to take care of me... the lady in this video is just giving excuses not to work... sorry but the situation demands her to work. Pls maam go and work or do work from home atleast
Those days ,times were different, no mobiles etc, people valued human connection. Nowadays, parents are afraid to even keep the child with relatives..... because of sexual assault , abuse etc...day care nurseries are also not good eg badlapur case in mumbai

People often complain that poor people are just lazy and do not want to work. He is clocking in 14 - 16 hours which is unimaginable for many of us. This video shows how the poor clearly get trapped in a vicious cycle of debt due to medical emergency. Health insurance getting rejected is a clear sign of hidden impacts of their living condition. Great job Anshuman & team bringing such real stories in front of camera.
Super strange she has a helper...paying Rs 1000 per month..Also paying Rs 300 daily to school for extra curriculum activities which can be avoided very easily..Paying Rs 3000 for wifi is also not acceptable..
What i have noticed, if both wife and husband are not earning its very hard to survive in todays world. Wife must help, both are equal. There are many daycare aganwadi which take care kids, keep kids there and work NO EXCUSE.
We need more episodes like this which shows that people aren't able to save money and they are getting further pushed into debt rather than people that are already doing SIPs and how much their SIPs can be increased as the latter are few and far between. There's a reason only 2.2 crore people in india actually pay income tax(some of them may evade it but mostly can't afford to)
All the guests on our show are inbound. I can only cover such stories when people from this economic background come forward and fill out the form to seek my help.
Bro, you did a great job it's appreciated, please consider my one suggestion try to do as many as possible videos on low-income backgrounds or middle-class people so that we can also learn a lot about their mistakes and they will get information about personal finance.
Best option for a life worth living - Sell off the house, clear all loans - Take the 30L surplus amount invest 25L into index funds, 2L FD & 3L cash in bank for expenses to move to a remote area/village. -Home school kids, trust me no amount of education will help the kids if the parents are 24/7 under mental pressure + no sleep + no interaction with farther , kids will always feel like they are a burden. Get an odd job in the remote location / village for monthly expenses. Eat good food + sleep 8hrs , spend quality time with kids. The kids will be way more smarter and healthier. Future education can be done via govt schools / scholarships or student loans.
@@ruskip do you think that a person earning 2.5 lakhs in 1947 had the same life as a person earning 2.5 lakhs in 2024. Let me know if you want me to explain how inflation works.
Hi Anshuman, nice video, i can totally relate this episode to my journey. My dad worked in same profession since last 35 years and managed everything without complaining about it. Days are really hard in this profession as you are not sure how much you will make it in a month if you don't have fixed customer's. Despite this condition my dad took education loan for me, build house during 90's. Even my elder brother completed his studies, so here i am working in United Kingdom now. So things do take time to come back to normal. Now my dad does not work for money. Its all matter of how strong is your pillar in house, having a patience and keep working hard. Anyways your videos are really good, keep up the good work😊
An eye opener episode for middle class families. First you learnt about importance of Health insurance for the family, Second you learnt about importance of education, Third you learnt about lack of financial knowledge lead to bad loan trap. Atleast they had a home to sell off and clear the loans. If it's not there the situation could be more worse. I know some people are ending thier life's.
She can switch off AC and use cooler sparingly. Stop maid. For 100 units electricity is rs 1000. Rs 4000 saving, maid rs 1000 saving. Total rs 5000 saving
@@apz7645 that’s an idiotic take when you are in no position to afford. And then start crying government is not doing anything for us, education is expensive, no jobs etc etc
I can relate to their situation because our maid is in a similar situation. Despite making roughly 40,000 the husband and wife are unable to suppor t themselves because they have debt to repay. That is the one issue that our world faces today. Even as a freshemen year studying finance as my major, I fell into the trap of taking out loans to buy items to show off to a select group of people. I know my family will support me, but I still regret it. Better things: as my elders used to say, if you can not afford it, it is not right for you.
Both the elders and Anshuman keep saying the same thing repeatedly :P P.S. Don’t buy things you can’t afford to impress people who don’t care about you. The people who love you will continue to do so regardless of your material possessions
It is pathetic that inspite of taxing the hell out of middle class, the govt isn't even able to subsidise cancer and other critical treatments atleast for the economically weakner section of the society.
Bro this series is eye opening. From last few days I was wondering what harm could it be to take no cost emi's for things. I was not able to find the negative side to it. I found it thanks🎉
Sell house, clear existing loans, purchase 2-3 pre-owned cars, let them out on rent as cabs. Income should go up 2X if not more. OR let your current own car out as cab, join as a driver someplace else, try joining better paying places, like star hotels or luxury transport services, chauffeur services etc. Income should increase to sustain for a year or two after which the wife can pitch in with some hustle.
Hey anshuman you have no idea what a great help you have been to these people. I imagine with such loans they would have spent halftheir life in paying interests to the banks. even if they are sitting on huge 65 lakhs house it wouldnt be of great help. By selling the house they can effectively save paying all that useless interests to the bank.
Some people are willing to sacrifice their own lifestyle and go through hard times to experience the joy of having kids and their own family. Instead of being so materialistic, you need to probably introspect.
09:28 such an eye opener. Thank you Anshuman for making people aware of the importance of an health insurance in today's world. You have been stressing on health insurance in almost every India🙌

Just an advice - maybe switch to Cooler, your electricity bill will be very low then as compared to now. I really liked this advice of selling home and then cover up the loan.
this is a terrible situation IMHO and it may end on a dark note if immediate steps for resolution aren't taken. This is an unethical advice: he should sell the house in cash to avoid tax, maybe NPA some unsecured loans and move to a tier2 city where the earnings would remain the same but expense will come down
@thesparkyguy9378 he is making 35-40k in Mumbai, in any tier2 city a cab driver can easily make 40-60k doing ola/uber/rapido and on-call cabs. It will take him a few months to make clients but it can be achieved. I've seen many cab driver in my city which is tier2 making 50-60k on average on regular months doing intercity and intracity trips. It's even more during festival seasons
This is the current situation in India The government should provide basic healthcare and free good education after taking high taxes... middle class and lower class are getting very poor day by day
1 aur option hai ki biwi car din me and pati chalae rat me… that way they can support each other and income can potentially become 1.5 2 times without additional investment. they can take turns to look after kids. and given this is mumbai it’s safe.
@@MrMayankthakur didn’t u read above that they will have to take turns to look after kids. Most of the world outside india does that in their situation.

Kudos to Anshuman, I have discovered your channel just a week back and binged a lot of episodes, this episode literally shook me from within, usually the solution to most people problems are too straightforward but the way Anshuman always find perfect solutions like this is quite commendable, I am just 23 and was just accumulating funds in my savings account and letting them depreciate over time till now, but this week itself I have started investing all thanks to this show. People usually complain when you bring guest who are well off and earning 30 LPA and more but thinking from the wide range of spectrum helps to get a grasp of the entire game, and helps to plan out your own personal finance, like Anshuman truly said your personal Finance is truly “personal”, thankyou Anshuman for doing this, would love to watch a episode about your finances too.
Such a heartbreak to see this level of suffering. Our health sector is a curse for lower middle class people. I pray to god that they get good deal on home and are able to restart life with peace again. Living without loan is blessings.

A very pertinent issue discussed@ Anshuman, these types of case studies are rampant in the society and very often we read in the newspapers about the extreme consequences of the debt trap in which these families are. I have a small suggestion for this series. You can change the format to a virtual call instead of a physical visit. This achieves 3 things - reduces the anxiety of the person who's willing to join - will include a "doing well" demographic too. coz from what i can see it has been only people who are shit deep in debt. We want to know about the winners too and how did they get here etc. And people like them would value time and hence would find the physical setup a bit too much commitment. - will save a lot of your costs. like travel, camera, lights, crew this that. I hope i was able to make sense.

Ansuman you are doing good work. People have to understand that financial illness is like a physical illness. If you ignore it, overtime it becomes bigger and bigger. I see, generally people seek financial manager only when they get into deep trap. This is dangerous. Seek financial advice when you feel things are not going right. Never wait till the end. In our country, financial stress on a family or person is considered a taboo. And people don’t want to talk about it in open. Same reason why you have blurred out their face and got their name changed.

1. They said current house may fetch a rent of 12k. One option is to rent the existing house for 12k and they move to 8k rent in navi mumbai. This way they can get addition income. 2. And sorry to say, wife should not sit at home. She is the one who is educated they said, she can find a better job and once done, can ask her husband to take care of children in weekdays 3. And since husband is taking care of kids in weekdays he can take up driving in weekends. .... many more suggestions can be given, there are many ways , if one really wants to come out of trap.
