This week we take a detour from following the Wild Atlantic Way so that we can explore one of Europe's fastest growing cities! It keeps Dublin
We head to the Irish capital to meet some of Tom's siblings and their partners off the plane. With the crew united and at full strength we head into Dublin city. With an AirBnB booked but not available until 3 we find ourselves sinking Guinness after Guinness, the wrong side of midday. The host of the BnB allows us to check in early saving our livers from a few more pints. Checking into the BnB we make ourselves at home before heading back out the door to experience some more of Dublin's pubs.
The next day we wake up groggy but determined to make the most of our second day in Dublin. After refuelling with breakfast and beers we surprise Tom's brother (Merran) with tickets to watch the rugby at the Aviva Stadium. Leinster play Bath and try after try is run in, meters from where we are sat. We then head to Whelan's pub, where we spend the night making merry.
With two accumulative days of hangover now weighing down on us we decided to postpone the pubs and instead indulge in some of Dublin's culture. We visit a pop up art book-shop before heading to Dublinia (a museum of Dublin's history back to the arrival of the vikings). While at the museum we were recommended a pub called Darkey Kellys. With their brilliant live music, excellent customer service and never ending supply of Guinness, we settled in for the day and were the last ones to be kicked at the end of the night.
The next day, Tom's siblings and +1s left early so we were left to make our way back to La Bamba and the wild west coast.
Thank you so much for watching, we realise this may not be our usual content but this is the nature of vlogs. This is an insight into the craziness that is Tom's family.
If you were hoping for drone shots, hikes and wild swimming, fear not we will doing that again next week (so make sure you subscribe).
