There is no way to guess how much someone makes if they are using shorts. Shorts have changed everything and for the good. It is impossible for anyone to guess how much a channel is making if they mix in Shorts and regular long videos. If Graham did this video today and he used Shorts from time to time, the numbers would be all over the place.

Depends on your audience reach, niche, and as someone else said consistency and posting schedule too! There is a lot of variability in RU-vid ad revenue. However, there are much better ways to monetize your channel than ads! Merchandise, affiliate links, paid training programs, referral links, sponsorships, etc. YT channel is a full scale business model.
