Why are you asking the pool boy who makes $200.00 a month what it takes to live a ballers life? That guy has no clue how to develop a budget, how to handle money, or how to save or invest money. I’d say the girls are more down to earth about budgets. The pool boy stated one million pesos a month which is, let’s say almost $17,000.00 a month. That’s about $575.00 a day. The vlogger concurred that $2,000.00 a month is living well which is $75.00 a day. So what exactly are you going to spend another $500.00 a day every day on? In 2024 the Manila times published an article stating that the top percentage of wealthy people in the Philippines earn 4,000.00 a month which is 4 times less what the pool not stated. He is clearly out of touch.

They’re giving you answers as the amount a Filipino can live on, doesn’t apply to foreigners. In my 19 years experience of the Phils don’t ask young girls about what’s rich, they have no idea ask some professional older females.

I don't think young women are the target audience to be asking a monthly budget, but i think its safe to say that most foreigners can comfortably live between 1000-2000 a month.

$17K per month is comfortable for a single person in a major city in US while in PI, it seems the same amount is enough to sustain an entire entourage.

Geeze way off - nice try but both numbers are way off - I lived in Manila in an old furnished condo - total expense was 60k a month - that was a no frills life - now I live in province and spend about the same

People think most Filipinos are poor. Well mid week mid day the malls are 1/2 full or more. The restaurants are mostly full with a waiting line in all of them. Weekend are just nuts,don’t try to eat in a mall restaurant on the weekend. There are a lot of poor but many that are far above that. Don’t come here on a 2k budget and think you’re rich unless you live way out in the province. The real question where do they get all that money?
