I leave for Lima Peru on August 4th. My Airbnb cost me $1350.00 for the whole month, but I got a 2/2. I regret it through! My brother spent sometime in Rio many years ago, he told me about a trick that you must watch out for. When you go to the beach DO NOT have anything valuable that you can’t afford to loose when going for a swim. Kids will have string hidden in the sand with a hook that they can pull from a distance. Best advice, leave your towel etc with people that you can trust. Plus be careful, especially the shanty/favela areas, my daughter got arrested with weed that someone planted on her, it was a set up, she had to pay some money, or she would be in serious trouble 👿. I had a great time myself, even tried out the Terma, which are Brazils version of a spa, a must do when in Rio, also Club das Flores for gentleman’s entertainment. 😊

International drivers permit (IDP) is not a license. It is a bogus cardboard booklet that you buy from Triple A (AAA - American Automobile Association). AAA is not a government entity and the IDP is not a valid government document. For some reason, some people think is is an official document. Several years ago, I ordered one for a trip to the Philippines. You just scan a picture of your drivers license and send it to their website with $25. I photoshoped my drivers license to include a motorcycle endorsement. No problem - AAA will make the IDP say whatever you want. Again, it is bogus.

GMO food is not outlawed in Thailand. The only law relating to GMO foods is about requiring a notification on the label. As for Thai produce, farmers use all types of chemical fertilizers. The "Thai food is clean and healthy" thing is a myth. (Delicious, yes, but not especially clean nor healthy.)
