How the hell is this 4 years ago. After multiple cars since then and a couple big projects, I'm now on the hunt for the next daily and toying with a 330D.. Thought I'd come back to rewatch this series and see if I can find any extra bits out, see how hard a few basic things are like hybrid turbo, exhausts, clutch etc. Cheers for the content as always, this video is pretty well making my mind up. 🤘

i love the way you go about doing a "proper build " with genuine mods that work . there are many Uk mod channels that could learn a lot from this channel.... especially some of the cowboy "mechanics" they have working for them that just completely mess a car up ... i await the next build up..... excellent work

Pulling the engine goes way quicker when you drop it out of the bottom. Unbolt the calipers and hang with wire then drop out of the bottom. We can pull those engines in 45 minuets that way. The key is to build wooden pallet stands about 16” high. It’s way quicker remove and replace.

I miss the instant on/off and super aggressive biting nature and crazy-heavy pedal of the 4 plate AP Racing paddle clutch I had on my GTi-R back in 2000. Not the most fun when doing hill-starts in traffic in the wet, but once you get used to it there’s nothing quite like it!

To car entusiasts of the world, I feel this is one of the only places that it will be acknowledged, I feel that the rivalry at the start of the 20th century of steam and combustion engines is happening again, the new rivalry between combustion and electric exept people know who's going to win, I think most car entusiasts brush it off and just wait until it will happen, but what I wonder is what is going to happen to car cultures worldwide all of the stereotypes, different styles of customization and how broad it is and how it has developed throughout the world in the last few decades. I feel that I and many others are going to be the generation who is going to have to face this redevelopment and that we will not get the chance to drive some of the most astonishing and truly unbelievable cars from around the world. I know change can be a good thing, but in this instance I feel it will not be, I feel people do not think of the many people who grow up to aspire to something in the car community and get recognition for it and who they look up to for inspiration and for there dreams to have to be demolished. I hope people of the world will see this and maybe, just maybe things will change for many car enthusiants throughout the world with this redevelopment.

I would'nt be supprised if they had'nt tell anyone, that they flashed the ecu on dyno. I really think that they will do it, but not tell anyone, because they needed to sell their "race chip" But overall, it is good video today. Shame that they could'nt go on track. But about clutch... You don't need aftermarket clutch actually. I have 535d engine (200kw)... manual transmission.... And it is holding on with original clutch. I don't undrestand why they needed to take out whole engine? It is a lot of work to do it. Turbo and cluch is tottaly replaceble with engine on, even when doing according to original repair manual.
