I would love to, but I don't think that is feasible. If Nick's shop was closer to me, maybe we could get something to work out, but I have wayyyy too many mods for this Civic to make that idea happen. I might just have to buy a dyno myself at that point lol
With the engine swap I'm doing, the cylinder heads are totally different so I can't just do simple power upgrades a bit at a time. For the head swap, I'm changing out my bottom end, cams, VTC actuator, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, valves, porting, etc. It I was staying with a more traditional build by going FBO, then I would be able to do that.
Those ninth gen civics are very reliable it’ll be a good platform for you to work on, kinda want one now but I already have a genesis 2.0t and a Mazda Rx8 lol 😂
I was actually considering throwing my brother's 04 TL's wheels (pretty much the same design) on my Si, but didn't have another point of reference. They look sick!
Is there a reason you went Ktuner over hondata. Most tuners prefer hondata for 9th gens and people who start off with k tuner end up switching to flashpro.
There is indeed a reason, but you'll see why in a later video. There are a bunch of differences between the two. I was planning on making a video strictly about that question you're asking now lol
Civics are underrated for example my 2011 bone stock civic si is advertised at 197 hp but I got it dynoed and it made 181 hp to the wheels which is about 215 220 hp to the crank because most 8th gens have about 220 to the wheels with fbo if the factory numbers was correct that means bone stock they make about 160 to the wheels fbo is not gonna give you 60+ hp so therefore the numbers are higher than advertised probably for insurance purposes
Been a long time subscriber but RU-vid app wasn't letting me see your videos. Only now have they came up. Do another flip video like the A4 audi you done a while back
Wow. Now I see why you turned off the comments on the double clutch video... Nothing but a muffler delete and wheel size change - yeah that's not going to do anything. And a tune got you a whole 3-4 hp? HP can change that much just from atmospheric condition fluctuation during a day. I'm not really sure what you expected but whatever that canned tune is - it's snake oil. Wasted a bunch of money for nothing.
Let me be honest since this is a private forum..... Your presentation of the content is excellent for keeping attention going for fans. Knowing that you are Italian and handsome is the icing on the engine !💥
I'm new to your channel and the first video I watched had your black Honda in the background . Can you say its type, year model and anything interesting about it.
Milan did you ever test fit the k series head studs in the k24z3 because I am semi following your build for a kswap integra but i keep hearing the k series head studs dont fit and I was supposed to use gsr head studs
When is the next update video on the engine. Just found your channel and love the content. Lots of great insights for someone who isn’t familiar with the k-series. Looking forward to swap my own car so I really want to see how your engine build is completed. Thanks for the great videos.
What kind of power were you expecting? Making 20% more power while staying NA sounds pretty good to me IMO. To give you context, after getting my Z to be FBO, I made 22% over the stock power figure. The issue with these K24Z7 engines is the head design and lack of dual VTEC, hence why I'm doing my build.
@@milanmastracci never ending projects, 750 USD is expensive, i unfortunately do not posses the skill and since they require the removal of the timing cover I also wanted to the the EPS oil gallery gasket and the suckerpunch oil pump so that I can rev to 8k to stay in the Power Band longer especially with cams.
I'm yet to have any issues. As Ricky mentioned, with an LSD and snow tires, you won't ever get stuck unless you literally try to go off roading with it, but then your ride height will be your limiting factor.
@@milanmastracci No I'm not ATM may be in the future at some point, but I'm a subscriber to his youtube channel watched a lot of his videos loved the last few videos where he tested different intakes
@@milanmastracci yeah same here I had my mind blown when I heard you could get a DSG gearbox mated to K series motor, at which point I started looking for DSG boxes lol
@@shaunbailey4922 oh okay thank you very much for the reply. Yeah I was surprised because the horsepower it showed was 185 and that’s how much the 9th gen Accord is advertised as having so I suppose the accord has even less than 185 actual horsepower
This video is like saying, hey guys before I start modding my 370z, I'm going to dyno my accord to see what it does stock before I mod my 370z. What purpose does it serve to dyno a random motor that you aren't even going to use as a "base line".
I'm getting an idea as to how much power the engine makes, so that I can see if it was really worth it after I swap the other one in. If this engine makes 200, and the one I swap into it makes 220, I wouldn't really call that worth it at all. 🤷♂️
Good morning sir Sir I want to request you to make a video about if the road mud and we have car with manual transmission How we get out from mud without car off or spinning
That would be sweet! The stock engine in this Civic is barely different to the one found in my Accord. I wouldn't really make any gains, unless I go all out with it lol
