I don't see these similarities. Lots of sci fi narratives include an underdog, 2 sides fighting each other, paranormal links and laserweapons. You could say Enders Game fits into that, Starship Troopers or even Foundation. Just like fantasy where everything is somehow based on Tolkien with dragons dwarves and elves, this is a galactic style story ala Warhammer 40K. I quite liked the movie, it gives something fresh. Its certainly better than the last 2 new full Star Wars movies where they go from old imperium to first order to final order. Rebel Moon is certainly better than that.
I don't like to criticise you but let's be honest every movie that wants a kind of star wars theme style would have to share similarities with the original movie. Like example the ships and teleportational method used by the imperium is original. I know some may be rip off but it tried to be original and there is factors that can't be avoided when trying to make such theme movies. For example Dune and Star wars both are original but their plots are similar but in a different way, that is understandable.
is it really stealing if it originaly was supposed to be a star wars movie? or is it just altering enough things so zack snyder can still make this movie
or the ships for example, many of these points were not even original in Star Wars. Like what kind of transportation in space are you suppose to do? Teleportation? Walking trough space, todays Rockets, or Space Helicopters? As if Star Wars invented these things. Same counts for Energy and/or Light Swords, they already existed in fairytales ages before star wars.
I've never seen Rebel Moon, so I can't really add much else to what you covered in this video except that I agree it looks (based on clips) and sounds (both audio and how it is explained) much like Star Wars to the point where it is pretty clear that it's a Star Wars ripoff. I can't remember if I heard or read it, or by whom it is from, I can't remember the exact quote but it was something along the lines of _Everything has already been written; just write and add your own twist to it._ Something like that.
