Again, the Strike Packs DO work with XB1 controllers on the Xbox Series X/S. But they DO NOT WORK WITH THE NEW SERIES X CONTROLLER! Be sure to let me know if there's any controllers you guys would recommend for these price tiers. At the end of the day, this video is here to help people save money, time, and energy! Any contribution towards that is greatly appreciated
@@cooperd.9660 the strike pack works with the Xbox One controller which works on next-gen Xbox but the Xbox series X controller doesn't work with a strike pack
@@cooperd.9660 I can confirm that the strike pack does not work with a series s/x controller, you have to use an Xbox one controller on your series x to be able to use your strike pack, I use it and it was the best choice by miles
@@vCuda the only issue I have with my TE is that I’m a clean freak and it pics up dirt pretty easily, especially if you have sweaty hands, so I tend to be wiping down my controller often, it’s too pretty to be dirty, but otherwise, pretty clean design, comfortable with a premium feel, love it, also probably the best controller with an excellent headphones jack, although I also use wireless headset
I have the ultimate for about a year now maybe a little over, and it still works like a champ. No issues, deadzone is about 8 on the right stick, but outside of that and the paint on the buttons rubbing off. works great. I put it through hell and back with rocket league too. lol RL destroys Ps4 controllers which is why i went Razer. lol
I’ve actually been building my own controllers and installing buttons myself for years. And I absolutely LOVE the extremerate kits that started coming out in the last couple years. Their kits are the best price for the money with out a doubt
I don't really know or care much about the specifics of controllers. I just watch vCuda's videos because he's hilarious. I wish you good fortune and stable employment.
spent 250 on a scuf prestige, dogshit controller. the a and y button didnt register half the time, stick drift was insane and my right bumper was fucked out the box, fuck scuf
To be completely honest. Ever since I got an Xbox Series X I have been using that controller more than my elite controller so I took it back as it was 1 week till the warranty was up so I got my money back and it was well worth it. (my elite controller 2 was also starting to break
I wish there was a larger selection of controllers with remappable paddles. I own a fusion pro v1 (still do. Its okay) and I owned a razer wolverine ultimate before returning it. I don't really like the paddles on either. I own a spectra and play with that regularly. I usually go for power A controllers because they have 2 remappable buttons which is better than nothing and the buttons are great. They aren't invasive and I don't bump them constantly. I wish they had a controller with 4 buttons instead of paddles or less invasive paddles.
I will forever vouch for the PowerA Fusion Pro controller for Xbox. I have had it for around 8 months and still have zero issues with it, absolutely love it
You can buy a Battle Beaver Customs Xbox Series X controller with 2 custom buttons & smart triggers for $124.65 plus shipping with a discount code. I’ve used BBC for years & they are the best I’ve used & very dependable. I use KontrolFreeks so I don’t add custom sticks. The only downside is build time but IMO it’s worth the wait. There’s a couple brands you mentioned that I’d like to try so good looks on that. Much appreciated. 🎮🙌
I don't know about you cuda, but after testing it for less than three days, I really wanna go out and say that The Thrustmaster Eswap X pro is the best controller ever invented, whether it's performance/quality/feature/customability/ergonomic/even looking wise, even though I haven't tested that much controllers before. I'll give a huge HUGE explanation and backstory behind that statement, but trust, that controller is the absolute best, EVER.
The Thrustmaster Eswap X pro is the best controller ever invented, mark my words. On a real though, as a Rocket League addict (around 3k hours, GC3 peak) I need to talk about something (warning, it's astoundingly long) : I played with the 360 controller for around 5 years or more, after all that good service my first brand new one failed me, so I constantly was buying other ones from second hand because nobody was selling brand new ones anymore, wich obviously made it less reliable and durable. One thing though is that rocket league at a certain level is probably, without a doubt the most intensive highly competitive game on left joysticks, just because of the amount of cancels and brutal movements you have to do, wich means you're very likely to get stickdrift/other issues sooner or later, in my case it was less than a year with the second hand 360s, wich is still a lot because they were amazingly reliable and durable, but obviously to a lesser extent in second hand. But because of the unavailability, I therefore decided to make the switch, and go xbox one less than a year ago for the availability. The controller I got was the Spectra, and let me tell you what, muscle memory when you played more than 2.5k hours on one game is such a pain, I even had to use my left middle finger on the back button because it was an extremely useful feature in my case, but man, was it a pain to get used to. Nevertheless, it was still a greatly performing controller, other than the fact I unluckily got so many issues with it (stick drift again so changing the potentiometers and cleaning the sensors, sticking abxy buttons so taking out the membrane and gluing another one, left back button breaking so I had to glue it together again, I sweat my ass off to get it to work properly every time) to the point after a couple of months I just couldn't fix it anymore and had to buy another one, I wasn't too mad because it was really cheap for how good it still was, and rocket league requires some darn precision if you go in-depth with it no joke ! But the Joystick was so bad on this one, it was almost rusty kinda feeling, and drifted two months after buying it. *Enough was enough.* I decided to make the ultimate jump and went for the controller so many RL personalities talked about because of smart sponsoring, a way more high end controller than anything I ever owned. I didn't even wanted it to make me play "better" per say, most of the pros don't even use it, so it wasn't about that, but more about not having to worry about stickdrift and other issues ever again. I went and bought the Eswap X pro controller, if I ever had any problem with the left joystick I'd just change it, no buying a whole brand new controller just for a joystick issue anymore, already an insanely convincing feature. I bought a third brand new spectra in my local gamestore in case I'd have to wait for too long for the thrustmaster to get shipped, and also because I expected to be terrible and that it'd be really hard to adapt. And lemme tell you, as I got curious and wanted to test it when I received it, I was completely shocked : it's breathtaking how well thought out/designed/built, polished and premium it feels : nothing gimmicky it's just perfect, the metal sticks are incredibly sturdy but smooth feeling at the same time, they feel way too precise as well it's crazy, (0.01 deadzone is actually a usable thing with how precise the sticks are out of the box, wich was unheard of especially when it comes to rocket league) they have that leather imitation on top which grips well and feels so good to the touch, and if you don't like their default concave tops you can switch it with PS4 like concave tops they give you in the box. The magnets are holding everything tightly and perfectly, everything feels extremely precise from the metal grippy textured triggers, really clicky bumpers, to the mechanical switch abxy buttons, wich are an absolute blessing to use, so clicky, precise and responsive compared to mere membrane buttons that can sometime, at a certain point of usage, literally stick and activate more than one time when pressed only once. It's a little bit big though that's true, but it still fits greatly in my hand (I do have big hands though even though they're kinda slender). The design is also extremely slick, nothing too crazy but really clean, you can switch the layout to make it PS4 like, you can add other modes for other games, customize it as much as you want, and one of my fears was about the back buttons being really weirdly placed and way harder to use than on the Spectra from powerA, wich was THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE, my left middle naturally goes on it HOLLY F-. It's literally perfect.... it's too good, best controller on earth/ever, not even worth comparing it with anything it just wouldn't be fair. I'm actually strugling to not miss a single feature because there are just so many, I didn't even talk about the "ThrustmaperX" software wich is incredibly complete (tons of programmability, mapping options, deadzone/sensibility options, too good man way too good). Thank you thrustmaster, an absolute work of art, worth 2 or 3 times it's price easily.
Loving the green screen effect lol. Another layer of entertainment … nice touch… I have one too many controllers and I’m only a casual but I still clicked and tuned in :)
If you're comfortable with taking apart electronics and possibly other skills like soldering, buying parts and customizing the official controllers is a great route to go, but buying pre built "custom" controllers online isn't worth it at all. And if you just want a different color then the cost of an official new controller you can trust and a shell is much cheaper than ordering custom.
And depending on how handy and what you want, you can get programmable back buttons for non-elite xbox controllers or ps4. Trigger stops on either of those, xbox elite sticks on switch pro or ps4, adjustable buttons on switch or ps4, hair click triggers on all three controllers or even bigger batteries for ps4 controllers. If you take the time to learn ehat you're doing it can be super rewarding
If you were making a friendly suggestion, you would've made it friendly. And no, the background probably won't be changing, it'll always be Space related lol
To Vcuda and all: In the past I’ve owned 3 series 2 controllers, a wolverine ultimate, a wolverine te, and a series 1 controller (which is good only problem being zero thumbstick tension) and by far my best choice was using a strike pack eliminator. All those controllers failed me or had some type of problems that interfered too much with my gameplay. Each lasted less than 4-5 months, which was really frustrating. I recommend buying the eliminator (not the strike pack dominator, as the paddles are slower to press and have a terrible feeling texture that cause too much friction against your fingers after a while) as the attachment is best for comp play, and it’s reliability/durability. You guys can check out my gameplay to see how the strike packs benefitted me. It surprised me that the cheap attachment was far better than the high end controllers I’ve previously owned. Love your content and dedication to helping people out vcuda, keep it up! 🐐🔥
I just grabbed a stike pack eliminator last week and started using it this past weekend. Trying to get used to having extra buttons for fingers that aren't typically used doing anything, and I've realized this:........ my brain is retarded.
good vid man... but can you do a review on the joysticks ... im sick of having to fix them or buy new controllers... which controller has the longest lasting joysticks
Love the content and humour brother. Your my go to for honest custom controller reviews. I've always bought middle tier pads but had a lot of duds. Stick drift got me losing my mind. Waiting for your e swap X review purely for the swappable joysticks rather than replacing a pad
Had numerous expensive controllers. All broke within months. Purchased two powerA spectra. Loved em. But same problem again: they broke within months. Now back to using the standard controller that came with the series x. Despite its lack of features, it's proven to be the most reliable so far.
I’ve been using the razor Wolverine tournament and it’s the best controller I ever used🔥🔥. Thanks again bro for helping me decide if I should get it or not it’s perfect for shooting games but it works with any other game I play the buttons are super satisfying to press thats one of my favorite things about the remote
All i want is decent Analog stick mechanisms as a foundation. Then a reset button that can re position the Deadspot. Then a full digital calibration test bed on the console menu for everything possible on that pad. How f**king hard is it to deliver a fit for purpose experience? Oh 3rd party endorsed cash Shillism would die that way??? Everything is a minimum viable product landfill pyramid scam.
My one issue with the pro controller line on PC is many of them let you swap buttons, but they aren't actual programmable macro keys. I heard a newer 8bitdo controller has programmable paddles, would be interested in your review!
Pro2 has programmable everything but the dpad sucks ass, and the button durability is a bit meh, after 1000 hours of monster hunter, my triangle button looks like it wants to snap by half
Money no object, but I don't see the benefit of spending any more money than the Elite Series 2 controller. I'd pay more for higher quality or mechanical benefits I'm not aware of... But more so, I'd pay literally $100-$200+ to get a 5-10 year/lifetime warranty on a controller that includes no hassle exchanges. This would be like... Tell them you have an issue, they give you a *pending* charge for a new controller, rush 1-2 day ship you a new/quality refurbished one... You ship old one back in same box w/ prepaid shipping label... When they receive, they cancel the pending charge. I just don't want to be burned.
Just purchased the eswap x pro hopefully I can enjoy it for a while. Had the Fusion Pro and got stick drift after 2 months of light use. Waiting for costumers support to handle my case it will just take like 2 years. Non the less I purchased the eswap after watching your video on it hopefully it will last longer 👍
Also it is July 2022 in May 2022 after 3 weeks of owning a series elite 2 controller I returned it because of stupid stick drift and I don't trust buying another one for that price. Stick drift stick drift stick drift my dude was walking in circles for no reason for 200 bucks what a rip off plus 50 to ensure it at Best buy also Best buy only sells the 00001 version not the 00008 which is the upgraded one and might not have stick drift someone needs to call them on this. And they need to remove the first version from the market because they're garbage and the second one supposedly didn't fix stick drift either. Lame overpriced controllers
I bought 2 black power a controllers last September. I got ones that broke within 2 weeks... I'm STILL waiting for 2 working black power a controllers to be here. They have yet to send them. Just so people know.
Bro. Im one of these few 10% ppl that when using the series x pad my hands cripple fast i mean in a way iv never ever known. I know all the people who said this a few months ago got shot down. But the handles of the series x pad are smaller intended for an 8 year olds hands aparently. I switched back to xbox one size pad. Hands are totaly fine. Iv always gamed a lot for 25 years. But wow. Im one of those few that cannot use the series x pad. At any cost. Im gutted tbh. Its a nice pad so much but. The handle grips size. Man. I dont even hve big hands. I nearly lost full control of my hands. Surely they gona address this. Or they hve to sell xbox one pads. For good. Just like those few reddit posts and ytvids. My hands jus went the same way super fast. Terifying man. Glad im ok now but feels rediculous that i have to use an old gen pad. Wow.
Dude the apower pro controller ya looks nice nice case but I'm.on.my 3rd one just playing black desert online in 9 months (yes I play alot) but dude 100 bucks isn't cheap maybe compared to more..but at least apower did send whole thing for free 3 times cases and extra buttons erc
Get right with the lord Jesus Christ before it’s too late repent and put ur faith in Christ. Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and risen on the third day he’s the only way to salvation John 14:6 John 3:36 John 3:16 Romans 10:9.
I bought a battlebeaver. Wasn't satisfied with the sticks so I took the ones from my power a fusion and switched them into the battle beaver. Been my favorite controller so far. The back buttons are noice
The e swap controller is very good. I have it and it’s pretty reliable not to mention all customizable stuff the controller itself has. The tension ln the thumb sticks is customizable, the triggers, the grips, and not to mention that u can play on a PS4 layout and on an Xbox layout. It’s pretty good for all games. I use it for FPS games and it’s still great I would highly recommend.
You can buy a series s used with a controller for the same price as one of them elite controllers. They're cool controllers but they are way overpriced they should not be over 100 bucks they don't cost nearly that much to make not even close
To anyone ready this i have been through 5 elite series 2 controllers they are highly unreliable and break very easy and for no obvious reason i never let them fall or throw them, that being said its also the best controller i have every used so fucking good that why i bought 5
I have a power a Xbox one wired controller. It has stick drift when I plug my cloud core alpha headset into the audio jack. It has no stick drift (and I mean i mean it will actually stop mid drift) of I unplug my headset. The drift does not return, until I plug my headset in. I don't have a second headset to run more tests. Can you help/ and/or explain what's going on? I hope my info was useful. Thank you for your time
I’ve had a similar experience. My first power A spectra controller got very bad drift on the right stick despite no mechanical issues. I had a feeling it was caused by the electric short that happens when you plug a headset in to power a controller. Tested this by never unplugging my headset on second controller and so far so good
