I have been doing this for about 2 weeks now. Approximately 48 deliveries with DD and more with Postmates . I have never had a customer give a cash tip. I personally love working late because of traffic and parking. But during busy times and being able to get orders from good restaurants really do give good bump. Also don't be scared to decline orders. The acceptance percentage doesn't mean shit. Also the flame location doesn't mean shit too. Just learn your city . Go through the DD app to order and look up what offers they have to order and where most of the restaurants are and wait there. Also if a customer is asking about their order just be honest and don't trip. If you're late you're late. Some customer expect you to leave your car in the middle of the street go up 10 floors jump over a moat etc lol. Don't stress out. Just have fun with it. I do.

Informative video! One thing about Doordash is it helps to take advantage of the long time you have to accept a delivery. Once you get familiar with your market’s restaurants, you can better evaluate if you want to take it or wait for another order based on how long you see it taking and how far away it is.

It said delivered but, was never there. So they never sent me a package and, I never even got started. 😕 I’m gonna try the process all over again if I can.

Hey Reyes, I had a delivery job when I just started out with working in the days before smartphones . I got a pro-tip from an older driver to produce more and higher tips; he bought bottles of water dirt cheap, like under 30 cents a piece. And he gave those away as complimentary gifts with there order, especially at addresses he knew where poor tippers. At my own experience I can say that most people will go back inside to get you a tip if they hadden't or for more, of course there are some people who doesn't but hey you'll make your loss back next delivery with a €/$ 5 tip

pretty good. i work 12 hour days at 17.86 on different types of Film sets. in LA and this is close to the same pay. but you pick your hours. my benefits are the free paid food (and its crazy amazing) and for G&E you are entitled another paid lunch after 8 hours. but man is it long days. wake up at 5. usually get to set by 6:30. work from 7am to 9pm and then pack the truck up and get home by 11pm and wake up and do it again. haha having an actual set in a studio is much much better.

im glad im not the only one thinking this.....I got hella hate on here for saying I wouldn't hire someone that has had over 20 jobs I see is at someone who quits everything they try

@@richardcastillo3568 most these people do not report their side hustles when going for a job. Almost every gig economy job has bare minimum requirements. All you have to do is lie to yourself about making money and they'll do the rest.

I have tried uber eats, doordash and grubhub, grubhub is best paying by far. At least in my area

No doubt about it..if Grubhub sends you offers all day, it's a easy $200-300. They go dead sometimes off blocks though. When its raining though? That meter lights up.

When I start my door dash app it literally says not one order in my whole entire state and all states around me , the whole map is grey. I just become a dasher one day and didn’t even get a chance to do one order. Last night there were so many pink areas to do business in now NOTHING. I was looking out of curiosity last night at how to set up an order and I declined about 10 offers, did that cause me to be fired? I sent screenshots to a customer service agent and called them and they said they have never seen anything like it. Also when I try to schedule orders it says cannot load data because not it right format. I could really use the extra income. Can someone please please please help me out?

@Generic Username I used to work in NYC and with a cad it is terrible some people do it with bikes there which is good but still takes a toll on your health. I wish I never done the gig app

@Generic Username and we are not taking into account of Bill's they have, stuff that cant be written off such as rent mortgage, going out, internet, other Bill's and stuff like that it's good for extra money k would say but not a full time job
