Psilocybin saved my life. I was addicted to heroin for 15 years and after Psilocybin treatment I will be 3 years clean in September. I have zero cravings. This is something that truly needs to be more broadly used in addiction treatment.
Please does anyone know where I can get them? I put so much on my plate and it really affects my stress and anxiety levels, I would love to try shrooms
The Trips I've been having have really helped me a lot, I finally feel in control of my emotions and my future and things that used to be mundane to me now seem incredible and full of nuance on top of that I'm way less driven by my ego and I have alot more empathy as well
DUDE, you had my crying when i finally noticed that because of you, THANK YOU, that made this dude look A LOT more interesting!!! What a nice spice!!!!
He's not just a photographer he's also biologist, ecologist and very patient human being. Thank you for sharing your experience. This video enlightened me
@@henrymccoy2306 that's what majority of ppl miss to see, ignoring the basic stuffs thinking they are basic and thinking everyone knows. Ignorance makes you so blind that you'll never know much about basic details and understand the beauty of it.
"All of life has a different metabolic rate, and I think all of life has a different frame rate." Wow, thinking of it this way. To a redwood tree, we are what a mosquito is to us.
@@black_hydra1618 7:12 "This reality of, you know, real time human point of view is not the only point of view." Just dwelling on that one statement for a minute, it makes me think in different frames of reference. It makes me wonder what time must "feel" like in those other points of view. And that makes me appreciate the world and sensations around me more.
I’ve thought about this recently too. Just think about cats are able to react to things so much faster than we humans do. Or how bugs are able to buzz by so fast we can hardly see them. To turtles, we probably move super fast as well!
The fungi documentary in Netflix was really good quality Any alien or creature survival/horror films you know of I’m really in the mood to watch one lately but I’ve seen almost everything too
Who used to think that timelapse videos were made by people putting their camera on 24/7 on a subject and then just speed-ups the footage? It's so fascinating to learn the whole process and the whole mindset about every being has different perception of time is just so fascinating! Thank you for sharing this video and knowledge with us, both Wired and Mr. Louie Schwartzberg!
It's crazy how how every weird thing and object out in the world there is a human who appreciates it, lol. Literally, right down to straws. There is probably a group of people out there who literally love straws
It's my favourite thing about humanity. Seeing people talk about their niche that they are incredibly enthusiastic about, especially when it's something most people know nothing about or wouldn't think anyone would care about.
Mushrooms are one of my favorite things, partly because of their strangeness. I don’t know why, but every time I go foraging for them in the woods I just get so excited to find them and to learn more about individual species. It’s like being an explorer on an alien planet or something.
he & this entire video definitely won me over with the last few sentences. such a POWERFUL statement, & visual... to watch the roots literally merge & expand & grow with each other as we should do as humans on this earth.. truly beautiful.
There's 4 different pronunciations that are all in use. Funjai, fungai, funjee, and fungee, The last 2 with the "ee" sound at the end are more preferred in the UK though.
I'm amazed & mesmerized...! I appreciate his works so much!! 7:41 - mouse decomposing...that ripple of life is beautiful & chilling at the same time for me.
His shots are amazing but I thought some of the outdoor shots were also good. It shows a progression of time and the snail was cute, but obviously I get why you couldn’t film something like that outside for 15 years
The “pink” grow lights discussed at 1:37-1:44 are not a pink LED but rather a combination of red (+ some far-red) and blue LEDs (likely 60% and 40%, respectively). These three wavelengths of light are essential for driving photosynthesis - both in the sunlight and artificially. Mostly all land plants containing two photosystems (PS) that absorb different wavelengths of light. PSII absorbs 680nm (red) light, while PS1 absorbs 700nm (far-red) light. If you only have one or the other, you observe lower rates of photosynthesis, but if you have both, you get a higher rate (refer to Emerson enhancement effect). Blue light is a higher energy wavelength (compared to red) that is also needed in smaller quantities for photosynthesis (i.e., helps drive it, in addition to influencing stomata dynamics) Thus, the “pink” grow light was not developed to cultivate cannabis, but to cultivate all plants using artificial light. Light has been a hot topic in plant biology since 1950.
Fungi are so interesting! I remember crying in a bookstore wanting a book, but couldn't find anything I liked. I ended up with a book about fungi. I'll have to dig for it in storage again 😁
I love the outdoors time-lapse. It’s lovely to see the nature……light dark wind rain bugs and critters…..just endearing and natural!!!! That snail on the mushroom looked so darn cute ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I haven’t watched a documentary this much informative in a very long time. I got to know a lot watching this video- the miracle guy behind the wonderful shots, the full-of-wonder techniques he uses to establish those shots and a lot more.
Psilocybin is safe with proper setting and guidance BUT that is only 1/100 of what mycology is. Look up Mycorrhizae if you want an elightened trip about ways fungus works with the planet. Again that is also only 1/100 of mycology if that, it is a vast field 🙏
Ok, I was thinking why this guy keeps saying fungi in a weird way. But after noticing his mushroom necklace, I’m thinking maybe he knows what he’s talking about and I was saying fungi wrong my whole life 😄
because they can as a comment on a channel's perceived integrity as a comment on youtube as a comment on youtube's owner because they disliked the narrator's voice because they want to stop seeing videos like it because they just stubbed their toe and they're a little pissy because there was an earwig in their beer because the pacing didn't suit them because it wasn't offered in 4k because they think it sounds pretentious because they think mushrooms are gross because they don't like to think too much because it has no women in it because a trillion other reasons, too many to list, every person on earth can no doubt come up with at least one unique reason and I'm sure some can and can't help but think of millions. There's also the possibility that a rival channel employs dislike bots in an attempt to game the algorithm and boost another video.
i was saying the whole time watching the program that the filming and renderings are incredible . cool to see that i was not the only one interested with the time lapse footage
So grateful. I watched the film on Netflix yesterday and my heart hasn't calmed down and then Laughing Squid brought me here today! I was so glad to be able to get to know a little about Louie. Louie- I love you!
watched this on Netflix, i love how they put together the documentary. It is very informative and promising. I hope more research and application will be put into mushrooms. I also liked that they focus on enthusiasts who goes into the field and have very in depth knowledge on mushrooms instead of those who are.in labs
being a botany student myself, i understood really all that he said and was refreshing to see all those amazing timelapses so far i only had seen them as static pictures in text books but this was just wow!
Fascinating. As a side note: if you ever get a chance to try a “wild” mushroom like lion’s mane or chicken of the woods, you should absolutely jump at the chance because they’re so delicious, so much more flavorful than the average button or porcini mushroom.
