Coaches like Darvin Ham have been paying attention. The Lakers 1st game this season he said they would shoot more 3s and that he wanted AD to shoot at least 6 a game. AD hardly shot any this season. AD doesn't like shooting 3s.
@kite36
@kite36 25 дней назад
@user-xl8zy6bp7b Right but AD had a great season defensively and offensively. He wasn’t scoring at the level of embid but he was still a top player. Shooting 3s would have created more turnover during his possessions and more losses if he doesn’t develop into a reliable shooter.

Playoffs are different because you’re playing the same team over and over. You know their offensive schemes. You have more in-depth meetings about scouting and coverage. The league IS more skilled and will continue to get more skilled. It’s just how things go.

I think it's more about the rules than the "more skilled" stuff. Kyrie in game 6 hit a series of moves and hit a corner 3 while contested... but he was able to take 4 steps without dribbling. That would be an obvious travel in the 90s. How do you guard someone when they are allowed 4 steps?
@andrewgiegerich8211
@andrewgiegerich8211 25 дней назад
The league doesn't have any defense anymore you can't tell me these guys would do this against a prime Jordan kawhi Gary Payton a lot of players averaging 20 now would average 12 in the defense of 90s early 2000s
@tobiusdawson4639
@tobiusdawson4639 25 дней назад
@@MegaChallangerit was three with the ball cuff, that first left step was him gathering the ball. That’s definitely a harden type of side step( travel) so regardless it’s definitely just about the “atmosphere”. Players say it all the time, you can get away with a lot more win it comes to the post season.
@MegaChallanger
@MegaChallanger 25 дней назад
@@tobiusdawson4639 so ball cuff, AND gather step? Jeez. No wonder you can't guard anyone these days. In a nutshell, modern players would feel more restricted in the 90s, and players of the past would feel a lot more freedom if put in today's game.

If they had it and had a green light like they do now they would have played that game and point totals would have been higher Alot of these dudes aren't skilled shooters they just shoot alot. Since when did a topics interest or relevancy become dependent on how hard or difficult it is to understand? There is no correlation like that. Or perhaps a better way to put it is that you’ve missed the REAL correlation. The analytics are interesting not because of how easy or difficult they are to understand. The analytics are interesting because they in several ways defined and explain the evolution of the sport. And evolution is what is actually interesting and that is a correlation.

@@SDesWriter it the exact opposite lmaooo luka only looks to pass when he can’t get a shot . That’s why Brunson is in New York …ballin . He left Lebron because the media was in his head

@@TOKYO9AIN first, Luka passes all the time, including when he’s passing up a shot to give a teammate an open look. Second, Brunson didn’t leave the Mavs because of Luka dufus. He talks about Luka and how much he admires him all the time. The Mavs didn’t make him an offer and let him go because Cuban didn’t think he was worth what NY offered. Besides, they play the same position with the same style. People complain about Luka’s 23 shots per game but Brunson averaged over 30 (at poor efficiency) in the 1st round. He wanted to be the man and be paid like the man to play PG so he went to a team that would give him both. Then your silly ass tries to blame Luka because you don’t actually know anything….

In listening to these episodes it’s like JJ knows how to put words to what is pure instincts to Lebron. 🤯

At this point I actually hate people that still watch espn and fox sports. If they all disappeared, so would those horseshit companies, a man can dream.
