How NEW Boeing 747 Appearance Just SHOCKED the Aviation Industry!!!
In the past decade, numerous shocking headlines have emerged regarding Boeing and its airplanes but most of them were incidents or controversies, like about the 7 3 7 Max, 7 8 7 battery fire, or quality control issues. But let’s forget them all for a while because there’s something even more shocking that would give us some optimism about Boeing. A couple of months ago, there was a sign showing that the Boeing 7 4 7, once hailed as “the queen of the skies”, could be coming back in the future. Let’s find out in this episode of flig avia: How Boeing is going to bring back the queen? And why this comeback is so important for Boeing?

747 landing at Heathrow
On March 26th 20 24, a Lufthansa 7 4 7 destined for Frankfurt Airport from Miami made an unscheduled landing at Heathrow. This event marked the first time a 7 4 7 had landed at Heathrow since a similar diversion by a Lufthansa 7 4 7 eight months earlier. While such an occurrence might typically pass without much fanfare, this instance was noteworthy because the aircraft was a 7 4 7 -400 model, a version now seldom seen in commercial aviation, with a mere four airlines continuing to operate this model for passenger service.

The reason for the diversion was an emergency onboard the flight while crossing the Atlantic Ocean, prompting the crew to request a diversion to Dublin, which was eventually changed to London Heathrow. After touching down, the aircraft was parked on a hard stand for two hours before continuing its journey to Frankfurt. The sudden appearance of the 7 4 7 aircraft still concerns Lufthansa, which plans to continue operating it until at least the middle of the next decade.
