My dad Hugh J. McGill was the judge handling the case in Waterbury, CT. Hard to believe even all those years ago things like this happened. We think it's only today.

Interestingly enough, Ted Kaczynski used the initials FC for Freedom Club and George Metesky used FP for Fair Play. Ted lasted 1.5 years longer on the run. Both were hurt by the system, both sent notes to the paper, and both were mentally ill.

Alice Kelly, a secretary at con Ed, broke the case. She read the past denied workers comp cases at con ed. Found meteskys case, compared his writings there to the mad bombers published letters. Just like the unabomber.

There were certainly earlier criminal profiles performed. The US government commissioned a profile of Hitler, for instance, intended to help them understand his motives and his likely responses to various different scenarios during WWII.
