that bleach tip makes me mad. i had no idea that disinfected water restores twice as much as filtered water. so much time wasted, hunting those goddamn bladderfish 😭 great video.
[Genosis] I did my best, thanks! And yeah, just wanted to cover the stuff that gets people past the "omg ocean is scary" part of the game, and start to move forward to see what else it has to offer. Took me 3 years to get to that point lol
Covered a lot of the things I wanted to scream at the screen about when watching the series though using a couple of planters with marble melons for the bioreactor is much more efficient.
Great video. Would have definitely helped me! Definitely stuff that trips people up when they first start out. A couple of other things that could fit into a part 2 would be - o using the brain coral to pick up Oxygen and stay under longer o a reminder that if you do die any stuff that might have been dropped is still there to recover o habitat building is fun but be aware of the structural integrity to avoid leaks. You see the status when you build/unbuild something o Deconstructing items with your builder returns all the parts needed to make it o when you upgrade your current oxygen tank you don't need to build a new one o activating the messages advances the story. It's easy to feel overwhelmed if you don't finish current tasks before proceeding. o You can swim to any depth, but the deeper you go the faster your body uses up its oxygen o First Aid station replenishes health packs over time. Should always keep at least 1 on you and maybe have a few extra in storage for quick access. o You can build just about anywhere. Having multiple "safe houses" that can be powered by solar can be pretty handy to avoid long trips back and forth Just a few things off the top of my head that were learned the hard way. Really enjoying your work Genosis!
Another useful tip is to scan the pot to grow outside, i.e. underwater, so that you can grow plants and mushrooms for advanced crafting without having to go to dangerous places every time. 👍
[Genosis] I'd almost call that a more advanced tip though! Most of these are things you'd do in the first hour or two of playing. Maybe when I finish my series I will make an intermediate/advanced tip video
[Genosis] I’m glad :) I figure if am going to have more subnautica I should draw some subnautica people in. Also, I wanted to illustrate I learned things lol
Genosis grew up so fast, it seemed like yesterday he was just a baby noob. But now he's a pro, go get em tiger just try not to get got. Edit: They grow up so fast, I'm not crying you are.
[Genosis] I mean, I'm not the tooth fairy here .. though I've paid a hefty sum for teeth in my years as being a parent.. hmm.. damnit I am the tooth fairy
