I watched this after doing mine on my driveway, no helper! I used rigging with chains to get the tranny aligned from the engine support, and I had the slave splined shaft out of the way to make alignment of the main trans shaft easy. It took me 4 days, but I'm a frail 65 year old git! Fun stuff!!
thanks for making this video. I have an 04 Crv 200k miles. Got clutch worked at 169K in '19. Not sure what they did at the shop entirely maybe resurfaced the flywheel? This video will certainly help me if I ever go in and attempt to do this job. I feel your pain just from having worked on the CRV on small exhaust and intake manifold jobs. This looked way more involved. Good on you guys, you did it!
Anti-seize on the flywheel bolts (should use LocTite) and no LocTite on the PP bolts? Maybe they won't loosen...😉 36:05 Done this job 4x and only once did the input shaft just slip right in to the clutch.
Holy cow what alit of work for a clutch job. I would have just gotten a new car 😂 love it bro. Glad I'm not the only one suffering when I DO work on my cars haha I felt all the pain and suffering in this video.
I think I say this in the video lol Both ball joints are bad so we didn't care about using forks. The ball joint was so seized that a shop couldn't remove it with an air fork. They ended up using their Oxy Acetylene torch to melt it out.
