The gear shift in my Mitsubishi Colt Ralliart had a bit too much free play and was overdue for some attention. Worn shifter bushes are a common issue in in the now aging Colts, though replacement is not so difficult. Unless you make it that way!
ADDENDUM: I ended up replacing the PA-CF bushing with a better one. See here: • Fixing the Sloppy Gear...
I also subsequently did a better job on the rods holding the shift together. That video is here: • Fixing the Sloppy Gear...

very nice fix! I'll try it also. I also thought of printing myself shifter bushes out of carbon filament but was reluctant due to the potential wear on the metal parts of the shifter (that's why it's recommended to use a hardened steel nozzle with carbon filament) By the way to get better layer adhesion with ASA you could print it at a higher temp ( i use 270 degrees) and after the part finishes submerge it in acetone (once and fast) then leave it to dry. acetone melts ASA so the surface of the outer layers will be melted and bonded ( also somewhat smoothed)after the acetone evaporates.

Good job and good video, did mine yesterday drilled out the thread of a 14mm nut and filed the nut corners for a few minutes. Squashed in the nut using a vice. Metal on metal contact but have lubrication with silicon spray. No play at all yet to see longevity.

Sounds permanent! Cool lateral thinking.
