The first time I ran a power wire, I ran it underneath the car. I used metal clamps along the chassis and brought into the trunk through a hole that was originally for the spare tire 🤣🤣🤣
Lol i use the firewall with most cars, but i def had an old blazer that we just ran the 4 gauge through the door grommet 🤣. Never had the chance to snag on anything, but its too much work to do anyways, im poking a hole idgaf 😂
Ive ran wire through the fender well and into a hole with a grommet that feeds into the car which IMO is just as good as going straight through the engine firewall.
Wow just askin for a fire hahaawww, Ive always run through the firewall with an exising gromet or drilled my own depending on needs. Very good you probly saved somebodies life.
I know the 8th gens at least have a little rubber plug behind the fender that leads into the foot well. That little truck saved me about an hour of firewall work
On a 2012 Civic the only really good option is running it through the fender well and there's a grommet on the firewall on the kick panel. Of course you don't run the wire through the door jamb.
I had to run my wire through my front driver side wheel well with some other wires that are already there, the only opening in my firewall hold my throttle cable and the hole was too narrow for the wire to fit, I just zip tied the amp power cable to the other wires. I have a theory that it might be better because it’s avoiding a little heat from the engine prolonging deterioration, let me know if that’s a stupid theory lol
