I went to a designated center to apply for adhar card (OCI scenario where stay in India is < 182 days). The agent turned down the application saying their system does not accept passport other than Indian. Is there a special place where OCI holders have to go to apply for adhar card?
Namaste. I watched this video. Currently a couple of our friends with OCI came to India only to find out that no one above the age of 18 can get an AADHAR card. They wanted to use the 'voluntary' AADHAR registration that you had mentioned without satisfying the 182 days rule. They were turned back. My friend from Mumbai went to 7 Aadhar centers and all of them refused to take his biometrics/app because he was not under the age of 18. Last time, I came to India after 9 years for only 18 days and could not go with my sister to do the voluntary registration. Is it true that people over 18 years of age cannot register for AADHAR? thank you.
When I visited adhar centre for changing address of my son, I was told personal appearance is mandatory or to change it on line using madhar app but the app does not work with a message that bugs are there in the app. Advise how to go about it.
I have accepted citizenship of other country, but after surrendering Indian Passport, applied for OCI and now holding OCI. My question is can I apply for Aadhar card?
