Some people are innocent....6200 people who were innocent this past year .... Everybody ain't guilty... sometimes guilt and greed form others can be the cause
question: if the crown cannot prove and the charges are either dismissed or you are found not guilty then how does one recover the legal costs: from the accuser or from the state or write off against the income tax?
What if it's a he said she said case with no injury from the assault but the woman shortly after called a sexual assault center, got therapy from a psychologist, told friends and family? Can the case still be won?
Im dealing with civil case after 2years that the police did investigation and found me not guilty 2years ago . Now the plaintiff got a lawyer and want liability against me and my prior employer…. What would happen if God forbid my employers end up paying them even though it’s a false allegation…will it not affect me in the future ? How bad ?
True, there is no way to know, as statistics are just not compiled. But, to my observations, there is great public hysteria involving alleged sexual assault, and thus great pressure on prosecutors to prosecute all cases. Prosecutors, police and the judiciary are fearful of having the finger pointed at them (for inaction) as "protecting" sexual offenders.
I imagine that your complainant got a no-win-no-pay lawyer who will do everything possible to win the case and get paid. It makes no difference if the police proceeded other that to say that if they did proceed and you were convicted (the likely outcome) you would have no chance. Since the police did not proceed you probably have a small chance. Unfortunately you can’t get a no-win-no-fee defense lawyer.
False accusations need to be punished, if its found a complainant filed falsely, they should receive the sentence the alleged perpetrator woupd have gotten
my uncle got falsely accused by a girl that wants attention and she said he did things to her during the day he went to work. He even had videos of him coming to work at the time she said she was messed with by him. I cant believe that girl is still free and she needs to go to jail for falsely acusing somebody of sex abuse
False allegations are real. Not only do some complainants lie but police falsify reports. There needs to be more investigations in all cases. People ignorance and bias throughout society is ridiculous. Innocent lives are destroyed and ruined. False accusers make such because of trauma issues, are cheating and avoiding being charged themselves sometimes revenge..it happens more and more each day and neither them or police are held accountable. Lawyers often defend innocent people. Many cases plead out. Few make it to trial cause of lack of money. Many people don't even get to read their disclosure which if they did would discover how much their accuser and police lied in certain situations..there is much more then what people read in headlines just because people lack brain cells and automatically assume someone is guilty with out knowing everything is absurd..there are people who are molested and sexually assaulted no doubt but there is also people who have been falsely accused..society doesn't care about those who are falsely accused because police prosecution gain things but throwing the innocent through the system. It really is the police fault cause they take people at face value do not investigate falsify reports n get away with things more often then not. Legal Aid lawyers benefit by pushing innocent people into plea bargains and prosecution job is just to convict. Imagine being innocent and no evidence against you and you have a legal aid, police and government against you. Many people can't afford private attorneys cause they charge an arm and a leg plus private ones don't all the time in the world to review a disclosure and catch all the lies and inconsistencies. Now with these c Bill n race shield twin myth laws it makes even harder for defence to cross examine the complainant and admit other evidence to support innocent. The system is not night mare. Your only hope is to get a decent judge a decent lawyer who sees through the bs of the complainant and police.
many women accusers are fkn liars. im against any harm to any human being or animal but im also against any hoe that wants to destroy innocent lives . is that hard to understand??
Court appointed attorneys are crap... they trying to give me time for sexual assault and there is two eye witness involved.... one started telling the truth defense wise and the other has lied so bad she won't answer the investigator... DNA plus the eyewitness and they still trying to bullshit me ...all because I don't have money to pay them

when i was 13years old i had a friend named tamara. there was an icecream truck that used to passed by everyday by my neighborhood well tamara told me one day i hate this icecream guy watch what i will do. the next day my mom sat me down and told me if i had any issues with the icecream guy i said no his cool she told me that the icecream guy exposed his penis to tamara i stayed super quite and till this day never said anything tamara lied and crazy enough i saw the guys picture in my local sex offender map..i live with this guilt everyday of my life im 34years old now.... false accusations happen all the time kids lie all the time....
