Nice video. I was very helpful. Could you please explain why you don't prefer the ones with the legs. It seems to me they would be even better. But I haven't tried either yet.
😮 oh boy!!!! No wonder I am in pain using my rail to get out of bed. 1 I put it on wrong. 2. I am not rolling over right. (Spine damage). I will need people to help me. Also ....it moves! Thank you for helping this 67 year old woman.😊😊❤
Hi. My dad watches TV from bed before sleep. Would moving the rail closer toward the top of the bed (wall) help guide him to sit into bed further up, subsequently landing him in a spot where he won't have to lift his body and drag himself backwards.
Best and only safe way to use ‘to the floor’ handrails is to purchase TWO SETS AND TIE THEM TOGETHER UNDER TTHE MATTRESS. Singly they are Too INSTABLE to be of any safe use at all. Mine came from Amazon and are smaller and curved with cushioned handles and adjustable fabric pockets. I have used this system for years with excellent results. You made an excellent demonstration and I’m so glad to see your program available for people, like myself, who are aging.
I too would like to know about when you just have bed in box on a frame - not box springs. does it work as well. I'm in need of a bed rail and I thank you for showing how one is used
Thank you🙏 Very helpful! My 75 year old mother just fell out of bed last week and this really gave me some good ideas on what to do to help her. Thank you again🙏
I have had 1 legs to floor, it moves to much and I weigh 180 lbs. Also a 3" mattress pad on. I have much pain r. And left lumbar spine. Dred getting up. I will watch video in bedroom. I also have 22 year old bilateral knee replacements
I hate you quit making videos. You did such a good job. Hope you are doing alright. I always worry when I see someone make videos and then just stop. Hope you will let us all know you are doing well.
AFTER TOTAL KNEE REPLACEMENT TURN SO THAT GOOD LEG WILL GO OUT FIRST. I TURNED MY AUTOMATIC BED AROUND SO HEAD IS TOWARDS THE CENTER OF THE ROOM. An extension cord was required for the bed motor. See my comment for using two sets of handrails if they are the kind that stand on the floor.
speaking to the rails that have legs going to the floor i really don't see how their much different than what you have there. they have the rail goin under the bed they have the grab part above the bed along with legs that reach to the floor Lastly they also come with the strap for extra security just as this rail you did the demo for so again the way i see it your rail has less support than the legged supports.
I don't think this is the exACT same model, (indeed, this particular one has a pouch with, which I love), but they do list a similar model. www.amazon.com/dp/B01LWVW175/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_RD-4FbF4WVMW4?psc=1
Thanks for the video, I’m a PT who just switched from outpatient to home care and so I learned something from you so that I can teach my patients better!
