I'm finding this quite an interesting video, but one thing I want to clarify regarding Aventurine, 41:13 "He's under an international, interstellar order that I think is some sort of law enforcement" The IPC (International Peace Corporation) isn't what I'd call law enforcement at all, the name seems to be more for propagandist purposes considering how much death and suffering the IPC directly causes- they are more akin to late stage space capitalists. They go around colonizing planets and involving themselves in as many affairs as they can- I would recommend looking at the text backstory of Boothill as a prime example of this, his people were genocided and put into reservations by the IPC in order to extract resources from his planet, with the claims that his people were "savage and uncivilized". Even the structure of the IPC feels like some version of space Amazon with a ranking system where everyone is competing against one another to climb the ladder in the hopes of further wealth and success, only for the ladder to in reality be exponentially more difficult to climb the further you go up, leaving most the equivalent of struggling minimum wage workers. There's also facts such as the IPC investing in various organizations such as even Herta Space Station, because they have a clear motivation to grab hold of new technologies to use to their advantage- a particularly chilling example of this is an NPC quest which results in the IPC ordering multiple planets with civilizations on them to get nuked out of existence just to test new weapons research. They did a PR stunt afterwards by supposedly firing whoever ordered the decision, condemning it, while still coveting after the technology nonetheless. It's a really corrupt group overall. And for Aventurine, considering he was about to be executed by the IPC for the crime of killing his *slave master*, a man who bought and enacted cruelty on a significant number of people- before Jade stepped in and allowed him another route thanks to his gamble- yeah, they can't really be called moral by any means, even if from the outside, they do some amount of good sometimes. It overall feels like a very stark reflection of issues in our reality. Anyways, I'll keep watching as it is very interesting, just couldn't resist rambling there for a bit.
