Welker being a slot receiver I remember when he went to Denver I think Peyton lead him into hard hits more in his short time there than all the time he was in New England. Peyton had a way of throwing the ball and then the receiver would get his head knocked off.
brady had gronk to take the hits across the middle and peyton had two studs on the outside to open wes up in the middle...not to mention wes was a great 3rd down wr and sometimes thats the only option...throwing it to wes even thoe hes not wide open but will catch it

Definitely. Wes Welker was good for years but couldn’t catch a break. Great player , another honorable mention is Danny Woodhead a small back who worked his way to the patriots after being cut from the Jets. 😊
Payton is the man. Full Stop. As a Broncos fan, there's nothing better than him to me. Brady was the GOAT but Payton is just a better human being. So miss watching him play.
Imagine being Wes Welker, getting to tell his grand kids he caught passes from the 2 greatest QB's of all time... and never won a ring with either 😳like not making fun of the dude, it just blows my mind. Because when you think of Brady guys or people who were apart of record breaking season with Peyton, they all were apart of championship teams... it's just so weird that Welker was on in-between teams with them, but man was the dude good, which makes it even weirder imo.
welker was actually terrible with denver. he went back to being what he was with the dolphins...a nobody. leaving NE was the downfall of his career. he had a bunch of short TDs, but that was it. he was a perennial all-pro with NE, but didn't even make any pro bowls with denver.
@@Yeomannn I'm also a Pats fan, and can't stand Pats fans that only ever want to give credit to Tom. Because I feel like this is a subliminal jab, implying that Tom made Welker, and Wes couldn't succeed anywhere else or something. He was great in his first season with the Broncos, had the most TDs he's ever had in a single season with near 800 yards, all while being targeted far less than he was in NE. Broncos had a lot of options, which limited Weller's targets, but apparently he "sucked". Lol, fool this guy is.
@@Keviekev115 Edelman barely played before Welker left though, and the Pats have had many small white receivers that were nowhere near as good as Edelman. I'm not saying Tom didn't bring the absolute best out of them, but a lot of it had to do with coaching as well, along with talent.
@@greysonG10Tom did make Welker. Welker didn't have a "great" season with the Broncos. I barely even remember the man's name being said. Welker is the most overrated receiver I've ever heard of. People talk like this dude was supposed to be a top 5-10 receiver in the game but wanna make excuses for why he couldn't catch a back shoulder throw that he got 2 hands on.

Love Wes as a player but thank God Peyton stole him that man was bad luck in the Superbowl 0-3 for his career and both the Patriots and Broncos won nearly right after he left
HATED the Patriots for a reason nobody else refuses to talk about. TOM BRADY SHOULD HAVE BEEN A DETROIT LIONS SUPERHERO! But the Patriots stole him like he was a Defensive Sign (hope you got that, cant resist a dig at the 2007 Super Bowl)
