For over two decades Pixar has generated some of the best animated movies ever created. Toy Story, The Incredibles, Monsters Inc., and so many more will span generations of movie fans. But how is Pixar able to generate box office hit after box office hit? Well, they have a very specific "Pixar Process" that has been proven to work.

Pixar is just one of those companies that, especially in their prime, would always resonate with me because they made those childish concepts growing up like Toys (Toy Story), Monsters in the bed (Monsters Inc.), or being with a caring family (Finding Nemo, amongst other Pixar classics. Also not necessarily a "childish concept", but you get the idea) feel so real, even if they are just, as characters, concepts that are inheritably non-human. In my opinion, Pixar rocked because these humane stories and themes center around anything that weren't human characters for the most part.

In my opinion Pixar need to make more movies like Wall E. That film has such emotion and depth with it's deep themes and non dialogue between the robots and the humour is really clever and genuinely funny for once. Plus Thomas Newman needs to work with Pixar again the guy was born to make music for animated films

The reason why Pixar still succeeds today is due to that unlike Disney (in their early years) their films are very original and not once have they ever done a adaptation of a book or a classic story.

"They arent just telling us stories theyre giving us the ability to experience real emotions..." EXACTLY! Most animated movies (and the studios behind them) these days are just looking for the quick laugh and cashing out. Pixar are one of the rare studios that make films that actually make you think and tries to build a connection, thats why each of their movies are so memorable.

@@ammarbaagu There are redeeming qualities to Finding Dory IMO. I still feel like her poor memory makes her feel like a burden to those around her but that she succeeds inspite of it. In my opinion Pixar need to make more movies like Wall E and The Incredibles. Movies with deep adult themes but containing enough family friendly humour to keep the kids happy. Instead nearly all of their back catalogue consists of movies of Dreamworks quality. For me, what makes animated storytelling so great is how it has more flexibility and freedom to show character emotion, usually through physical expression but also though body language and gesture. With live action you're limited to what the actors can give you, but with animation you can do anything, which means you can make a more distilled emotional connection between audience and character.

I’m content with Finding Dory. Also weird to say is that I did The Good Dinosaur, and it got some weird reaction out of me. I cried. I know the story of it’s troubled production, and that it’s pretty lacking elements which people hate. I’d have to revisit it to know solidly what I think about it. But Turning Red is among my favorites now 😄.
