I've been photographing my local Geese flocks in Autumn for years. Now, I'm trying to capture specific photos - ones that depict the atmosphere... and tell a story, but you have to put in the time and effort. In this video I share my tips on planning, in order to find the best positions. I'm largely using a Canon 400mm f/5.6 lens - a great budget option for beginner photographers. My preferred exposure technique for shooting birds in the mist is Aperture Priority with Auto ISO.
Filmed with Canon M50 and 15-45mm lens.
Equipment: Canon 1DX Mark i; Canon 400mm f/5.6 lens; Canon 500mm f/4 Mark i lens; F-Stop Satori camera bag
