Good eye! This is exactly why the work needs to be done. When the shoulder and the poll are out of balance the hind end can't come through correctly. The poll is the key to unlock the hind end and at this stage they are not quite together which leaves the hind end trailing behind. Soon the connection changes the movement and engagement begins!
