To be fair, being "goofy" and being "dumb" are two different things. A goofy person can be smarter than the average person, at the very least.

@@woomod2445 It's weird because in the actual source material (the Carl Barks comics), Donald is the one that adventures with his nephews _first_ and Scrooge joins them later (he was created much later than they were). So _DONALD_ is the first and better adventurer, not the other way around which is what DT17 inaccurately (among many other things) made it seem like.

@@ThePaganSun Interpretations can be different, and scrooge doesn't have a sliding time scale which means the old codger is well over 200, every adaption of that fact puts scrooge in the older seasoned adventurer camp.

It's upsetting for Scrooge and other characters (especially a bunch of newbies that were never even involved in the Carl Barks comics) to take credit away from Donald for _his_ accomplishments.

He’s actually not a red mage, confirmed by Nomura he’s a white mage, It’s just that he’s also basically one of the greatest magic users in the series, so rules that apply to certain majors just don’t apply to him because he’s just that good.

There's also the things Donald has done in duck tales, my favourite and quite a subtle one is when Duey travels to the past on Christmas and runs into a younger Donald who grabs and lifts Duey off the ground without any effort.

And how he effortlessly defeats an entire shadow army by himself and how he headbutts a giant monster mermaid but then he struggles against Graves who he effortlessly defeated as a shadow and Daisy had to bring him down made no sense to me because Donald was always the fighter, not so much Daisy (although she almost matches his temper).

We haven't seen much yet, but consider this: Terranort was fast and strong enough to take out Ventus in one hit before he could even react to said attack, and when Lea then tried to block his keyblade's strike with his own, he was sent flying back like he got shot from a cannon, presumably losing consciousness afterwards; despite that, Goofy managed to not only intercept another of his strikes fast enough that Terranort was caught off guard, but the clash sent him flying into the air hard enough that he couldn't recover to attempt resisting or avoiding Donald's ZettaFlare, while Goofy only fell a couple of meters back and wasn't winded at all.

In truth though, Donald should've been the most physical fighter of the three since he's usually regarded as the strongest and I'm glad their roles are being rectified in the most recent (as yet to be released in the USA) Disney mobile game *The Mirrorverse where Donald's role is rightfully "tank" (even though Disney's Sorcerer's Arena also made both he and Goofy as "defense") and his rage-induced superhuman strength will finally be mentioned and acknowledged,* Goofy's role will be "Ranged" (when he's usually been inaccurately described as the "tank" in KH and in previous mobile games) while Mickey's role will be "support."

@@reddodeado301 to be fair, keyblade magic is a lot different then the magic Donald and Disney spelled backwards use, since sora was able to pick up fire, thunder, ice, and cure after really only seeing them once or twice. Donald has quite a few impressive feats of strength and cunning in both classic cartoons and comics. But his alter-egos also include Paperinik/Duck Avenger who's a vigilante/superhero decades before Darkwing and Gizmoduck and much more powerful (Paperinik New Adventures" Italian comics); a monster hunter with his cousin Fethry ("Tamers of Non-Human Threats" Italian comics), a detective/ninja (Maui Mallatd in Cold Shadow" video game). And he's an adventurer in his own right (long before Scrooge) and fought in both the Army (classic cartoons with actual real life documentation) and the Navy (in 1987 Ducktales). So no. DT17 was no where near the epitome of what Donald could do. Frank and Matt were just cowards who didn't want to show Donald's true badassery but meanwhile grossly and inaccurately exaggerated Webby's, Beakley's and Della's, none of whom went on any of the adventures or did any fighting in the source material.

That still puts DT17 a solid 3rd or 4th place in terms of feats shown depending on how that tree compares to entering the atmosphere with no drag/resistance while burning up and implied impact. 238,900 miles of continuous acceleration in what was implied to be less than a day’s worth of time is no small scale survival feat.

@@vibezonegaming I guess, but DT17 still didn't do a good job of showing Donald's true fighting skill and strength compared to what he's been capable of for decades and compared to how OP they made semi newbies like Webby and Beakley and actual newbies that never had the same fighting or adventure history that Donald had. Again, Donald's survived being blown up several times in his own classic cartoons so surviving a trip in space isn't that great a feat despite the exaggerated lipservice Frank claimed. Instead of mere lipservice, he should've actually _shown_ Donald's fighting skill and strength. Not surviving some dumb rocket when he's done more than that decades ago and has accomplished many more incredible feats.
