Depends, he got kamehameha'd BUT -N'zoth is a manipulator, a mastermind rather than being "powerful" in combat. Also The Gift of N'zoth persists even into Shadowlands. He said "His crown will open the way". I think we're going to carry seeds of himself into the Shadowlands. Technically, everything is going according to plan.
Notice how N’Zoth is the only Old God that didn’t create his own Aqir offshoot? Instead he took an existing powerful race, the Highborne Elves, and turned them into his servant race. Maybe he’s not the most powerful, but he is the most pragmatic and cunning.
@@brankastojanoska6694 I don't think the problem was that he was defeated in one patch(even if there would be much more potential),but that we managed to defeat him too easy for an old god.
@@bencekasztel8045 but how do we define power of them? is he smallest or what you mena by least pwoerful cuz corruption most seems to me beign pretty powreful
Nope. he was the second most powerful. he lost a battle to ysharrj so at the itme the titans arrived he was the weaksest and easiet to imprison due to his wounds. But if was actually the second most powerful of them. I'm shocked at how many people are actually confused by this. people need to stay reading the in game lore and the books more.
Out of all of them, it didn’t make bug people. It seemed content to turn the weapons of others against them. Elemental Lords into slaves. Night Elves into Naga. Satyrs into Nightmare Satyrs. Humans into K’thir. Etc...
So just to not confuse people lets set it straight and make it clear for people not reading every quest or paying attention to the expanded lore. N'Zoth is the second most powerful Old god. First most powerful being Y'shaarj. Before the arrival of the Titans N'Zoth challenged Y'shaarj and lost. N'zoth was still recovering from this battle at the titans arrived on Azeroth which is why AT THE TIME he was the weakest and easiest to imprison. Let's try not to confuse people okay!! In fact if you re-roll a character and play through Silithis and or Northrend again and read EVERYTHING: there are easter eggs from C'thun and Yog, warning us (the players / mortals of Azeroths - ie; the box of Yog Saron) to stay away from "the deep". Yeah the other two evil old gods were also warning us about N'zoth.
I have been waiting for this video. You have tons of information on the old gods but this is specific with all of the new lore. 100% you did great on this video. You always actually knock it out of the park but this one was really good brother. Keep pushing content man.
I like the idea that what we fought was but mere fractions of their power since they were still encaged. I don't think the heroes of Azeroth could handle an old god at peak power.
Agreed. This is like watching a very exciting fight, going back and forth... Then the camera zooms out and you realise your fight was between two ants. And behind them a tank shows up. Making everything in that entire "war" completely meaningless.
Not sure why ppl may have thought that wasn’t the fact that the of god was ripped out of the planet and killed with ease established while back. It was the fact that they had been deeply engrained in the planet which is why they didn’t rip the others out because the devastation would kill the planet and the titan inside.
Kenneth Flaming I don’t know what y’all have against us casuals we enjoy the game and lore just as much as y’all, just because we’ve played for a shoter time it doesn’t mean you classic addicts are better than us
I don’t really know much about the power of most old gods in WoW or, for that matter, of WoW in general. However, from what I’ve seen so far, N’zoth to me seems a lot like the equivalent of Nyarlathothep. Make of this what you will, but that’s my personal observation after digging into the lore for a few hours/days. Whether I’m right or my opinion even matters is another thing entirely but I wanted to share this, as it may be a useful little tidbit for conversation
Wait, with the recton you're wrong on one point: the watchers created by the Titans took down the Old Gods (except Y'Sharraj). Otherwise very good video that explain in very short amount of time, I really like your videos! Can you make one about Azshara's power? apparently she couldn't be mind controlled by N'zoth, quite expected but still a nice feat.
Are you sure about that? I dont know about the 2 former ones, they should technically still be alive, unless Blizzard retconned that? But N'Zoth seems to be pretty dead after you complete Ny'alotha
You underestimate N'zoth. He is so powerful than even though the devs decided that this expandion won't have any Old Gods, N'zoth has managed to trick his way into cutscenes to get that sweet juicy spot light of a wow villan Edit : But in all honesty I think N'zoth will have a huge role in game but he won't be the main villan, most probably he will guide us in fighting the Death or then will a new faction war between the Light and the Void and player will have choose one or the other.
The Old Gods are not that tough actually. They relied too much on their minions to do anything, even before they were imprisoned by the Titans. The Old Gods relied on their minions in order to defeat the Elemental Lords, showing that the Old Gods are not that powerful. Their powers only work on weak minded.
I like how you say that yet deathwing was easily influenced by the old gods. The black dragonflight before getting corrupted were one of the smartest and wisest there were! The old gods are like the name implies "gods" compared to mortals, the Yogg Saron and C'thun fights in WoW are only pimples compared to their true form. Also their goal like it was said many times was to corrupt the titan of Azeroth not enslave the elementals. Therefor they used their power more on trying to corrupt the titan. Kind of a no brainer.
@@donnywai5813 It doesn't mean anything. Deathwing was never corrupt by them, he decides to be loyal toward the Old Gods due to his belief that they could free him from his burden, and because they promised him power. So, he was never was corrupt by the Old Gods, he decides to ally with them of his own free will. And also, the Old Gods' powers and influences only work on weak minded. Also, I explain that the Old Gods relied too much on their minions to do anything, even before they were imprisoned by the Titans. Something that you can see if you know the lore. In the end, the Old Gods are not that powerful, and fanatic fans of the Old Gods like you are just making excuses.
linkzellda holyshit you know nothing about the lore in wow. You literally jus made all that shit up. Oh and yeah, deathwing was 100% corrupted by N’Zoth like wtf are you even talking about
linkzellda the old gods are the most powerful beings besides titans, that’s a fact. Maybe you should go read some lore books like idk chronicle cause damn y don’t know anything
I really don't like how weak the old gods are compared to the titans they are creations of THE void lords they shouldn't be as powerful as the titans but not so weak that the strongest one could just be killed so easily
I find It so lackluster in the lore how they just constantly twist the tides of power.. What's the point now? were going up against nzoth trying to corrupt the planet.. yes but we already fucked sargeras and the legion and they where way way more powerful apperently by the lore.. Feels like a Side dish story.. I rather had the Old gods being the last bad guy but i presume that's the Void lords.. or Void Gods.. Which in my opinon is the dumbest thing here.. you have two really cool powerful factions.. Titans and Old gods.. Then you throw a big faction betwen the Burning legion.. Then outside of that you put the light and the void.. Crystal penises that are either yellow or purple and are two sides of the same cliche coin.. Wtf.
I disagree really. N'Zoth chooses to speak to mortals, this alone shows his weakness. If he were on the level of, say, Cthulhu who I might remind people is not even close to the most powerful or widely worshiped deity in the Lovecraftian Mythos he wouldn't even bother. He is a desperate festering little sore of a creature and when the true Old Gods come he will be erased like the rest.
A lore video with only 5 minutes, looks like you don’t know much about the lore or just putting things together or, you only did it because of the sponsorship.
