Attendance at school is not compulsory in the UK. Education IS compulsory , at school OR OTHERWISE. Both of my children were home schooled under the second category , that is , Otherwise. The elder has a decent degree in classical studies from the University of London plus a MSc in computer science. Now 35 and earning three times as much as I ever did. The younger, very badly affected by dyslexia and failed by the education system prior to home schooling, has a BSc in computer science and artificial intelligence from the University of Sussex and is earning equally well. Home schooling works if carried out with love and care.
Thank you for this video. my son was born 9 Sept 2015. I would love for him to start reception at age 4 (in sept) as he is advance for his age. Will this be possible as he was born after Aug 31st?
