I got my new paddle and it came with edge guard and tungsten strips. I intend to play it without modification and see how I like it. It came at exactly 8.0oz. I am very interested in getting the Hesacore overgrip. So far only the blue Tourna over grip installed
Although yoi didn't mention it, hesacore is designed to be used by removing the stock grip, applying the hesacore sleeve and then using a thin over grip.
How does the Tungsten do when "re-applied" i.e. the adhesive. Does it stay sticky after removing it. Eraser costs are crazy. Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a belt sander cleaner. Comes in a big block and you can get 10+ when you cut it down.
Tape does not really stay sticky and smth I should’ve mentioned is that it might even leave residue on the guard - also agree about the eraser for ppl willing to put in the lil bit of extra effort with some blocks from Home Depot!

Lol. you don't need to weigh your paddle, use face cleaner, or edge tape. The overgrip will help a great deal. Clean your face with soapy water or some other noncorrosive solvent. NOT play with both feet planted flat on the court will probably help you out the most.
Dude that figure at 2:49 makes zero sense. The clock times should be mirrored about the central vertical axis of symmetry, not diagonally. 2'olock is high on the paddle, 8 o'clock is closer to the handle. So how is 8 o'clock going to give you a higher sweet spot? And if you added weight at 2 and 8, your paddle would be totally unbalanced - more top heavy on the right-side than the left. More people making content about stuff they don't understand.
Thanks for the criticism! This is just a general guideline for what happens when you put tape strips in those regions of the paddle (e.g., in the top corners for power).
@@pickleballtechdude Dude, I know what it's attempting to illustrate. What I'm saying is it contains errors. The colors should be symmetrical about the vertical axis of rotation (i.e. the line that runs from the head to the handle through the center). But they're not. On the top left corner you have 2 black lines. On the top right corner you have 1 black line and 1 green line.
