The thing is Hasenhuttl turned RB Leipzig into champions league contenders without him it wouldn’t of happened. If he could do anything close to that with southampton. Their isn’t anything else I would want more from him. Heck if he’s happy keeping us up in the top half of the league would never want to see him leave 😆
@@slowtyper95 And then when you tell those retarded Ole fanboys that counter-attacking football is not really our preferred style-of-play, they say, "BUt iT'S Not hiS FaULt! IT's thE BoARD's faUlT fOR nOt bacKiNG HIm!" It's true he wasn't backed in the summer transfer window, but it still doesn't justify his inconsistency.
I am still questioning why liverpool or we(man utd) haven't snapped up your recruitment team. We got Luke shaw and schneiderlin from you, and are targeting pochettino . Liverpool have basically a half Southampton squad.
Take it with a grain of salt though, every week there's a new "surprise team" at the top of the table. Remember the beginning of the season when Everton looked like they were gonna stay top of the table. Then Aston Villa and Leeds. Now it's Southampton.
Hasenhüttel , was a verry good footballplayer . He plays by the Vienna Austria. A Club in Austria. I love the Saints .... I think, this year is SAINTS year. Wishes from Austria and nice Christmas 2 all
I'd take Graham Potter over him. Don't get me wrong, I like Ralph, but he's the poor man's version of Jurgen Klopp. Graham, while not being revolutionary or anything, plays the type of football that I wish United played, but his team is filled to the brim with dross players. United have the players, but don't have a good manager.
Thanks for a good analysis on Ralph's Southampton. Just wanted to say, do you think now is a great time for the Premier League to introduce safe standing areas? With the grounds basically empty (I know fans are being reintroduced slowly) surely now would be a perfect time for all the top flight to make alterations? Anyway, keep up the good work.
It was clear that the 3 at the back didn't work and Saints have improved massively (especially with Vestergod), but still letting in goals in too many matches. (E.g. being up 2-0 and losing 3-2 to Man U). I think the problem is saints are best at playing quick and offensively, but when they score they try to hold out letting in too much pressure on the backline. Because ings, adams and ward-prowe are great in attack not defending.
The Brighton defensive stats were surprising. Perhaps worth an analysis of why they are still relatively low in the league? I assume it is due do inept attacking?
if Mourinho can keep his players motivated until the end of the season, then they might win the league. Because Spurs usually bottled it after January transfer window.
last 5 years epl finish: Crystal Palace, Southampton and Aston Villa never finish top half but each ever finished #11. Big Six rarely out of top 6, Palace Souton and Villa are what epl small clubs really are. The rest are mid table. team is the one playing on Sunday, not by fossils who were active when granpa was fighting a war to expand UK colonialism half century ago
@@gidpinky6961 He clearly is, Hassenhutl is far more proven, what has Arteta done as a manager so far? Got Arsenal playing ok for like 6 months and been Peps assistant. Hassenhutl has got unfancied teams promoted in Germany twice, got Leipzig to 2nd with nowhere near the budget of Bayern or Dortmund, and now has Southampton in the top 5 in the PL and one of the forms teams of 2020. He's got a proven history of basically making clubs perform way above their level, Arteta simply hasn't.
Apparently in your bigot view there is only big or small, no mid table. last 5 years epl finish: Crystal Palace, Southampton and Aston Villa never finish top half but each ever finished #11.
