playing ranked 1.0 as well as 2.0 was both completely valueless and pure timewasting until ubi released the alpha pack rewards for yr rank at the end of a season (got included since fenrir season i think)

Ubisoft doesn't care. makes bad changes w/o caring about community feedback. and constantly churns out utter garbage balance updates to appease the naught 1% of the game all the time. As well as just balanced things how they please. I love the game, but every season ubisoft seems to somehow make it more and more unbearable.

@@ashtinpeaks9972 Are you slow or slow??? this ranked system is completely fucked cus 1: smurfs can still downplay their skill to continue smurfing in the same (i.e popping off for a game or 2 but doing terrible in most games so the system thinks that’s where they belong) and 2, people are NOT getting the ranks they deserve at all like the amount of silvers that i’ve seen get carried to gold 2 or something once or twice that are now DIAMOND and the plays that are now CHAMP the highest rank in the game now since ranked 2.0 is absolutely absurd, same sort of issue with apex ranked where KP is completely overshadowed by your placement within the match, people are getting rewarded for playing like bitches in FPS shooters in which the goal of it is to kill other players to win effectively marking the competitive scene of FPS/BR genre of games not fun for most people anymore

@@Omgthatsgino hidden skill rating. plats and diamonds now are probably equivalent to gold/plat and your hidden rank was probably around there when you quit. your elo is kind of just for show. im a career plat 2/1 and have easily hit champ top 5k the past 2 seasons

Great explanation, and exactly why I don't like the new Ranked system. Just a grind fest. Almost like a second battlepass. Ranked 2.0 should've replaced unranked, and left the old ranked system in play for the hardcores.
You need to play 30-40 more matches to get plat. In old system it was 10-20, anyone who actually plays ranked has time for 60 games a season. If not, the rank would not be accurate anyway. I really don't understand the grind argument. You'll still play against people with similar skill level, and point gains are based on that skill level as well. Ranked still has a meaning, and matchmaking has been way better this season
@orangeondaxbox2768 lil tip, play the shooting range mode more than any other game mode and use the dummies/ balls to practice aim. I did that for a couple hours a day when I'm not busy and it improved me alot
I returned to this game and i really hate this new ranked system, I’m still in copper and have to fight against the sweatiest guys, even in unranked or quick match i can’t escape these sweat lords, i don’t understand why they did this

Bro like I hit diamond every season since burnt horizon with 1.4 kd and as soon as I hit mid silver I was gaining 35 like wth I must've sucked in diamond
its the opposite for me, I was a plat player, only JUST hit diamond last season as a last "Hoo-rah" to say I did it before ranked was bad. Guess what? I flew 80 elo all the way to diamond 2 and now I get 60. free champ baby.
This new ranked system is terribly flawed. Me and my friends who are peak high Plat 2 players have played against teams with 1-2 champs and another 2 diamonds when we have never reached diamond. And our randoms were gold who never reached platinum. This system is BS and is terribly implemented
Good to know im not the only one, always been a hard stuck gold, yet in both ranked and casual i face nothing but long term diamonds/champs, or obvious alts that are leagues above me, it sure is fun knowing that every game i simply dont stand a chance
Literally it’s not even fun whatsoever I’m bottom fragging every game and teammates are getting wiped within 30 seconds of the rounds. I’m constantly getting put against champs. It’s actually depressing. The worst ranked system I’ve ever played

I’ve never even hit masters before that. So that says a lot no? Beforehand in the old ranked systems I was getting low diamond but I was still enjoying the game at least. i think it’s fair for those who actively plays the game, cuz ubi’s idea is basically distributing player to their rightful rank (which is more accurate for players of such cuz they play more and has less uncertainty of their mmr) and after that only hard grinds brings ur rank up. But for most of us who can’t possibly even have two hours of gaming guaranteed everyday it’s a bad taste. Cuz the mmr (ur skill level essentially) only sees substantial changes if ur ranked against players with significantly higher mmr than you, which u could be also playing against with a bunch of trash either. And that means a few unfortunate losses might just bring ur mmr and rp down, let u fall into a vicious circle and pin you in that rank. what they can do also it quite obvious, reconsider the amount of rp lost after being put in the “rightful” rank, and redo the many ratios of the algorithm of mmr, cuz as of now, it definitely doesn’t seem too ideal at all😂
I mean, the system is very logical, I can see where they got the ideas from and I actually like it a lot in principle. I think the main issue is that it’s not straightforward and player don’t get what they see(ie. Matchmaking based on an invisible number they can’t see); if Ubisoft made your skill rating visible to you, it might help a bit, but idk.
Every time I see this guy he seems smart, and he seems talented but I can’t get over how whenever he speaks he seems like he cannot be bothered with anything and always sounds pissed off and sarcastic, and it drives me absolutely nuts.
That’s how a lot of ranked systems work. The higher rank you get, the more consistent you have to be to continue ranking up. Early ranks have a lot of forgiveness, but a 50% win rate can only get you so far.
My issue is that I’m way better now then when I last played ranked over a year ago, and I’m having to win 5 matches I’m a row to go up a rank now that I’m at my highest rank I’ve achieved and people I’m playing with go up a rank every win, it don’t make no sense

if they want to change their games so much why not release a second one for people that actually like to play competitively or just not do a 180 with what they made already, sieve used to be the most underrated game in my opinion and now it’s pretty much just a participation award game
System is fucked, was a consistent gold player in old system, play last season for the first time since the rework and didn’t play ranked a whole lot and finished in copper 1 cause I just didn’t want to grind, now the game thinks I’m suppose to be copper even though I’m out performing my buddy’s in gold, and I’m getting like 23 RP a win and am fucking hard stuck in Copper cause it takes me like 5 games to move up one level

I am a starter in siege pc ( used to be pretty good in ps4 ) now playing on pc for a month and for some reason whenever i play ranked the enemy team most of the time has 2 play players and 3 gold/silver players when i am only bronze
I know this is an old video and idk if you'll see this but I've worked it out. After every loss on a lose streak your RP per game won will go down and per game lost will go up (so for example before a loss you gained 30 rp and was losing 20. The next loss will be losing 21 and the next win would be 29). Vice versa for winning a game, the next win will give you 31 rp and the loss would be 19. So if you can win nearly all of your ranked games (obviously there is a cap to it) you will only lose 8rp (example number) each loss
I just started playing ranked and i have been playing the game for 7 months and got to gold i feel like every match i have teamates that are in copper and opponents that are in emerald

i feel MVP should get more Points on ground they clearly most skilled in gun fights so they should be move up quicker to others who are at same skill level in Gun Fights.
Awesome. I have been ranked the same the past 4 seasons and I have gotten into diamond 4 this season. Well... all my lobbies are against 3 to 4 sweats with old season diamond charms. At the same time, 2 of my team mates are absolutely idiots. This new system seems to not be consistent.
Gee, it's almost like there could maybe be a system where you'd play games at the start of the season to quickly get to your "deserved" rank - call them "placement matches" or something - and then you can skip the brainless grind of playing dozens of games that dont actually matter. Or is that too revolutionary?

We were playing copper and won but my teamate got less rp then all of us somehow and then another friend joined later and went to copper 4 in one match when we all should've had to still had to play two. This ranked shit makes no sense

Literally the opposite. Me and my friend played the same amount of games, every game we played together. Both got basically same KD and obviously same W/L. Despite this, he can't get past gold as he is just earning less rp (for whatever reason) and i got emerald 5.
Nah man I just got into ranked a couple months ago and a win is like 43 and a loss is -20 making it a bit of a slug if I have an off game or the team isn't the best
So here’s where I get confused. This most recent season Commanding Force, had brought some questions. I’m currently Plat 3 and my rank last season was peaked at Emerald 4. My friend that I play with most of the time and my other friends are ranked around gold 5-3 right now. Whenever I play with them, and we win. I will collect around 55+ RP when we win, placing middle on the leaderboard. When we win, my friend that’s in Gold 5 gains 10-13rp per win. We’ve been losing a little bit and he’ll lose 30+ RP, which makes it almost impossible for him to climb where he usually stands at plat 5-3.
Sorry for the late reply but dude I’m in bronze and for weeks was getting 17rp for wins like wtf and I would be doing okay I just wasn’t like 1vX carry material bc I was only like level 60 . I haven’t played in 5 years and even back then I didn’t play that much but now I’m tryna take it more serious but it’s been rough with work . I try to play smart , drone and setup sight and my tm8s literally will all roam make stupid bans and give no comms. I feel like at best I’m like a gold player , not the worst but not the best so idk . Now I get 22-25rp so it’s getting better but still man
This math doesn’t add up because as a bronze in plat/champ lobbies I’ve legit got 10 points before going 8-2-3 as MVP ( stack with my friends been in plat/champ for atleast couple seasons) the ranked in this game is so bad
before the change, I would usually be plat 3 or gold with a .9 kd. Now Im in bronze and have a .4 kd playing against people with the same skill level I would expect a plat 1 player to have. Its no bueno
Every season this game gets worse. Ubisoft just needs to either sell the game off to a different company to fix it and hopefully listen to the people who play the game or leave it the hell alone bruh and stop destroying it

I stopped playing siege about 6 months ago since the game was ruined for me, having played since Y1S4 it was sad to see what it had become, and from the looks of this it hasn’t gotten any better
Ranked 2.0 decided I'm in bronze. So I guess I'm never getting back to silver again. I won the majority of the matches I played, and it just put me in bronze. Ranked 2.0 is garbage.
