Kamu Rocho Except you gotta pay for the whole year up front. The reality is you're getting charged $36 up front for the whole year. While that averages out to $3 a month, calling that is very misleading as you aren't paying by the month. Saying it's $3 a month implies a monthly plan... which isn't the case.

The Wii version got hit much harder than either the PSP or PS2 version. The ESRB or whoever really took umbrage with the whole motion-controlled murder simulator. I remember years ago I was going to use some cheat device I can't remember the name of it to uncensor the kills. I wonder if I can still find that?!

@@JohnDoe-wq5eu I'm not about to say gore and violence is wrong in video games. But it was excessive in manhunt 2 but that aside I thought both 1@2 were excellent stealth games. However I can completely understand why the wii version got censored so much. It's a family focused console with not many mature games but they decided to bring man hunt of all things to the system and allow you to perform the exacuations with a wii remote lol. It's alil bizarre imo but it seems that the controversy helped sell the game and I did like the game so I guess it's kinda okay. I would love to see a man hunt 3 but right now is not the time when sjw are all over the place fucking up franchises.

Cunnysmythe That was never a thing. Especially anime games. They always get heavily censored unless its Yaoi cause ofc double standards or Gore. Anything else echhi fan service sex scenes get cut censored etc. If its from the west no issue cause again Double Standards. I never will support western games and western ganes are trash now loaded with feminist sjws or just reamke reboot remastered etc cause who cares about creativity. I HATE THE WEST

The golden times werw when Japanese games had both. In the 2d era violent Japanese games had to be censored for the west. They changed blood colour, toned down dismemberments, etc... Now it's the opposite.

@@graveofmonsters4076 i dunno man. The pc eroge market does just fine despite lack of limitations. I mean, the Rance games are better known for its unusually good lore/world building and sense of humor, and sometimes for the gameplay itself as in the case of sengoku rance, than it is for its porn. And mortal kombat and resident evil here on the gore side of the story, too shows that you can embrace a fetish as extreme violence while being a legit game. So yeah, it is not about limitations but about how you show your stuff. Games that are excuses for sex or violence are shortlived, while those with real substance prevails.

It's probably a similar situation to how the Boomers used to act about violent games over here, for example Night Trap would have easily passed for PG-13 if it was a movie yet it became a controversial video game, it eventually got rightfully released with a T rating 25 years later. You could also compare Mortal Kombat to a slasher movie and GTA to crime movies, if these games were movies nobody would look twice at them but a lot of older people stereotype games as for kids (I think that's finally dead in the West though, maybe not in Japan though, also, kids watched those movies anyway.) Some people probably also think that you controlling a character who's killing things in a game will train you to kill and make you want to do it. It's amazing how delusional some non-gamers are.

what about steam/pc version in Japan? do they get censored version or normal one? Very unfortunate, no wonder Mortal Kombat isn't popular in Japan. Although kinda weird when older re games have no problems with mutilation & organ blown to bits, even MGRR hardcore action game literally implemented mutilation/cutting system.

I think censored gaming said on some other video that they don't really go after steam/PC games at all. For some reason in Japan it's just a weird gray area that doesn't really get the same level of scrutiny as consoles.

It is implied that the zombies are very strong, such as scenes where they break through wooden barricades and tear down metal fences. They can also grab and hold someone in situations where most people would be able to wriggle or jerk free when fueled by adrenaline. Leon and the zombies were liking pulling as hard as the could, with Leon having better grip and leverage. Then just imagine Elliot having however much damage prior to the scene and it isn't farfetched.

These are some sad days when Japanese gamers must import the US version in order to play the game the way it's meant to be played. I remember there was a time when US gamers had to import Japanese games in order to get the uncensored versions that had blood, like Samurai Showdown. Now the only reason any US gamer should import a Japanese game is either because the game is physical in Japan only or most due to the game offering better/more believable audio language acting, because English voice actors in video games today are complete trash tbh.

Every time you read your script that Nord is the only one to get a perfect score. You ignore that the screenshot you use shows that PIA literally has all the same features and just magically doesn’t have the perfect score(basically implying they were paid off by Nord and their aggressive marketing). Elfen Lied and Tokyo Ghoul are both rated R-17 in Japan also Elfen Lied was made at a different time. And Tokyo Ghoul is censored in Japan you can check it out on RU-vid.

They really don’t, most Japanese products are censored to hell because of them just being too sexualised for our rating board, I think the worst case of censorship I’ve probably ever seen is Yugioh, were close to 40% of cards out of thousands are censored. Its ridiculous

Wouldn't really be fair, CAPCOM has no control over this they have to comply or the game gets denied a ranking. Instead there should be a push to change the rating criteria themselves but Japan is very stubborn and unchanging.
