This is so clear and user friendly for anyone who, like me, needs to acquire a sense of rhythm and compas, Just what the doctor ordered. Thanks a bunch!

My brain is stuck in 4/4 from listening to nothing but western music all my life. Bands like Tool experiment with other time signatures and it sounds alien to me. I hope I can someday achieve a natural feel for those timings. Great video!

Hi Carlos! Thanks for commenting! I understand perfectly! This is our problem, for most Western listeners, but little by little, with awareness and consistency, anything is possible! 😉💪💪

Wow, awesome video, I loved the way you explained the concepts - very helpful!! I've always preferred to 'sing' the steps rather than count them, so it was nice to hear you explaining it that way :)

I originally wanted to learn tabla as a way to get access to the bols, figuring I could then apply this system to flamenco. Your system is much easier to use, so thanks for simplifying it! It takes years to master tabla!
@FlamencoMAPS
@FlamencoMAPS 2 года назад
It’s exactly my attempt! 🙃I’m studying Indian Konnakol and trying to apply a few concepts in order to establish a modular system, practical, easy to understand and applicable to flamenco.

great, would you also call the 'lego' level the pulse (pulso)?
@FlamencoMAPS
@FlamencoMAPS 3 года назад
Yes, the pulse level or lego level. We can have different pulse levels depending on how we “feel” the rhythm. I’ll explain this in a coming video. Thanks for your comments!
