Watch Full Episode - • True Geordie CALLS OUT... Podcaster True Geordie talks about having Ricky Gervais on his show and how he was the most intimidating guest he ever had with Comedian Andrew Schulz & Flagrant.
'In America we don't care'?.... Come on.... No other country on earth cares more about being offended by words... You're literally fighting over the meaning of 'woman'....
As a Scottish person I have to say that Scottish accent is up there with Harrison Fords attempt in Indiana Jones as one of the worst I’ve heard 😂 Dude went from a Londoner to Manchester to Conor McGregor
That's got to be the worst Scottish impression ever 🤣🤣 there was a wee bit of english and irish and American in there dick van dyke would be proud of that. The story was brilliant though 😎👏
Scope (charity) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Scope (previously known as the National Spastics Society) is a disability charity in England and Wales that campaigns to change negative attitudes about disability, provides direct services, and educates the public. The organisation was founded in 1952 by a group of parents and social workers who wanted to ensure that their disabled children had the right to a decent education. Originally focused on Cerebral Palsy, Scope now embraces all conditions and impairment. Scope subscribes to the social model of disability rather than the medical model of disability - that a person is disabled by the barriers placed in front of them by society, not because of their condition or impairment.
I can barely have a conversation in public without someone telling me I’ve used an offensive word. Can’t imagine how bad of a reaction I’d het in America
Spastic ... people with muscle spasms, twitches, and I think certain forms of distonic tension. I work with people that have spasticity issues ... you'll never meet people with a better sense of humor. Lovely people, they wouldn't be offended.
Americans in Virginia Sep 2022 had a 9/11 menu [1st responder Flat Bread] that was taken down cuz of the disrespect. That was just 1 occasion, so americans should understand how the word "Spastic" might cause offence to some!!
Trump didn't do it because Obama picked on him too much before. The president does matter. You haven't caught on yet? America is tanking in every way, so what in the hell are you talking about?
That was the absolute worst Scottish accent attempt of ALL time 😂 so bad, it was a posh English accent that turned very Irish at the end. Fair play for having a try. 😅
They werent humiliated at the golden globes. Most of them were laughing their heads off. Tom hanks looked a bit shocked about the felicity Huffman joke, but as he's friends with her husband, so probably friends with her as well, that's understandable. It was very funny though.
Discussing the word SPAZ, which most retired from our vocabularies sometime between 7 & 12 years old, Mr. Infamous turns to Geordie & says, “...I don’t wanna get anyone in trouble...” Still talking SPAZ’S/Spazmatic Society and the dangers associated with those slurs, Uncancelable quips to Geordie, “I’ve got your back bro.” Can’t imagine what Andrew might do for the lad if an actual Hot Button Issue really does arise... 👀
Support for the 👌 Cheek Clappers Podcast 👌 comes from Blue Apron. Before Blue Apron, I would run completely nude through my neighborhood and eat literal 💩dog turds💩 off the pavement.I knew it was unhealthy, but cooking took so much time, y’know? Now, with Blue Apron, which sends you perfectly portioned ingredients and easy to follow step-by-step instructions every week, I can eat tasty, nutritious, home-cooked meals that can take as little as 5 minutes to prepare. Thanks to the Cheek Clappers Podcast since I´ve subscribed to Blue Apron, I only eat 💩canine craps💩 once or twice a month as a cheeky little treat! Blue Apron, a better way to cook.
It's like an umbrella word for people with more extreme forms of disability. The spastic society was a charity. I can see why people use the word and I can see why people find it offensive. Andrew didn't understand. Brian was being polite and didn't really explain it.
OR it’s an old word that is gradually losing it’s former connotations amongst the young. Meanings of words change, moron and cretin started out as clinical terms for the mentally disabled too, gonna ban those?
Americans are so cute. They live in a bubble, oblivious about how the rest of the world, esp. Europe is way ahead of them, culturally and intellectually.
@@jetorixjones The flagrant podcast is not a very good representation of intellectual discussions, contrary to what your bird brain may believe, kid. Also, the Silicon Valley boom is a result of immigrant population flocking to that part, a phenomenon short lived in the larger scheme of things, again, something, your bird brain might struggle to comprehend.
If I were Bill Clinton, 42nd president of the United States of America, I would thank former Vice-President Al Gore for developing the internet so that I could listen to the Cheek Clappers Podcast.
The word was never meant to be an insult though, it only became so because people used it as one. All disabled terms become insults eventually. ‘Moron,’ ‘cretin,’ ‘retard.’ Am I ‘punching down’ by calling someone a moron? Meanings of words change over time, many don’t even know what the origin of the ‘spastic’ is anymore.
@@funkyfranx part of it was down to the spastic society who helped people with spastic cerebal palsy. They had to change their name to scope due to the negative conotations the word spastic had become. People who suffer from it know the meaning which is the point. Nobody suffers from a condition called moron or cretin.
I usually like Brian stuff, but he's either out of his depth as regards politics here, or he's being intentionally blasé, because now he is the member of the multimillionaire elite, where the benefits from an extreme right wing government.in "normal times", it probably doesn't make a dramatic amount of different who you vote for, but "Speciffically", in the next general election, The British people "need" to realise that it does matter a lot "a lot", who you vote for. If you are "not" a multimillionaire, you will benefit exponentially, from the next government being Labour, and I'm not being party political here, or saying that the current Labour party is particularly good quality.I'm saying this because of this "specific" Tory government, which have kicked out all the right-wing moderates, and we are left with a party verging on fascists, In favour of purely wwhich people's interest, and want to cut services provided by the state complettely; they will portray themselves innocently and give specious reasons for cutting services, which will seem authentiic to some, when really they will be cutting unnecessarily, And tthe money saved will be going to offshore funds, or their corporate benefactors offshore funds. The current Labour party, has "at least", not kicked out all the moderates, which will prevent savage legislation, or undoing of legislation, happening during the next term. If the Tories are voted for at the next election, we will have very few services that we take for granted left within a few years.
@@Rhythm24inch Yes, but I gotta try.Brian has an immense amount of influence, and people have to realise that it does matter a lot, next time, if you place any value on job security, nhs, public holiday e.g. bank holiday time off, employment and civil rights, , even affordable legal representation and any kind of personal privacy The current extreme Conservatie party sseeks to do away with as much of that is possible, ASAP
You need to watch Russell Brand. It really doesn’t matter who you vote for, your life will not meaningfully change. Labour, Tories, they’re all as bad and corrupt as each other and they don’t give a fuck about you
Correspondents dinner is run and hosted by US journalists, it is their day to throw crap at the president in a light-hearted way. You think Trump should have given the US press that privilege after how they treated him? No way, he was right to shun it.
Have you met an american? I know the media makes it seem like we all take offense but it’s a small minority that happens to be very very vocal. We definitely got some pussies amongst us but the most of us are very indifferent
Yeah. I'm in the US but southeast parts. If pick friends correctly most don't care down here but I talk people my age and up. Born 1 year to late be Gen X but we should bring back bullying some. Not full violence, I'll kill you type but humble us style.
It’s so funny how these guys a few times now seem to some reason think the uk is soft but literally 99% of the uk thinks Americans are the so soft and touchy 😂😂😂😂
This is hilarious to me. I live near Gervais. My friend used to talk to him on the same bus every week when he was a teenager (and said he was really friendly). I saw him walking down the road the other week dressed like shit, short and fat and wearing Nikes. 9 in the morning and I've never seen a man look happier. He almost actually had a skip in his step and he had this gentle smile of complete contentment. I can see how he's intimidating intellectually but it's funny imagining the juxtaposition.
Ricky Gervais is like a big fat cat. Most of the time he's sweet and soft and happy just eating and then stretching out in a sunbeam and napping. But he does have giant sharp claws, and he will swipe them right across your face if you piss him off.
@@Burgmannn in that Trump didn't want to help the WHCD whereas the roast on CC was "good television"... Whitney Cummings did jokes on subjects at the roast that they were explicitly told not to do & Trump congratulated her on her performance. It was a punishment on a hostile press corps more than Trump getting pissy cause he turned the spoiler candidacy that Killary asked him to run to ruin the GOP primary into a Presidency cause she was too incompetent to listen to Bill and just do some campaigning in the Rust Belt which lost her the race by a fraction of a percentage point (107k across 4 states out of a population in excess of +330 million.) Trump was awful but Killary managed to be so awful and stupid that she pulled off the impossible by managing to lose to him (different than 2008 when Obama just stomped her out in the DNC primary for being awful)
The uk is way more about class than race, usa seems to be the opposite where a rich black person is treated worse than a poor white guy, not sure which id prefer but in the uk we seem to be doing way better in every other aspect so ill take it 🤣
@@2011hwalker yeah but the number of times ive seen a black athlete or high up job like doctor or lawyer be arrested for nothing THEN let out because of there status and money seems way more than other places
@@antz_life Then you need to stop allowing the algorithm - it has warped your views. US Cops turn on white guys too - stats show white men have the most to fear from cops - Larry Elder does a good break down of the data. I bet it would surprise you to know that here in the UK, more white women die in police custody than black men!
