It's just bad writing. They did it for the sole purpose of making Trevor look like the ultimate badass. Where was Johnny's brother Michael, who also lived on the west coast? Where were the Angels of Death west coast chapter's IV talked about? Why all the Lost hate? 👎🏾

Can you imagine the backlash if they did this with Luis or Niko? I think the only reason they were able to with Johnny the way they did was because Lost and Damned was the least popular of the 3 gta 4 storylines but that didn’t make it a bad game by any means. Hell I remember just being amazed to see LC from another characters perspective.
I actually liked Johnny and his story more than niko and Luis and their respective stories obviously this is my opinion and everyone has their own but like I say I would have been pissed if they killed niko or Luis but Johnny was my favourite gta character and seeing him go out like that pissed me off I wouldn't of minded him being trevors friend that doesn't do meth and can be a gunman or something like chef but he should not have been killed off or if he was in a meaningful way that has an impact but rockstar decided to spit on Johnny and the lost

The only thing that doesn't make sense about "kill Trevor" is that Micheal is mad at you for it. If it was a movie or "real life" killing the for real actual cannibal loose cannon with his finger prints on everything would be the actual logical choice. Pin on him and his meth crew, have your friends in the government call it even and walk away knowing he's not going to come to your house and threaten your family or worse.
Johnny klebitz was wasted good potential dude was badass. His story in 4 is good written i was expecting he would make a good solo story for himself in his own game.

I really agree with this. They didn’t need to kill all main Members to make Trevor look stronger, they didn’t need to bring back the Lost and they didn’t need to make him a weak, depressed meth head for no reason. They built up the lost as a huge gang with strength but ended completely killing it off
Another problem for me is now it became really hard to feel any sympathy for Trevor when the game asks you two.. He had already crossed the "moral event horizon" by killing a beloved character
@@dionpierre5847 i have around 500 hours on online and its horrible. sure i had fun but thats just because i was playing with my friends, alone the game is on the same level as any mobile shit, they even let you pay money to skip parts of the game.
As a recent GTA 4 player, I was actually more invested in Johnny's story compared to Niko. Not that Niko's story was terrible, but I found Johnny to be a more interesting character. Hearing that he died at the beginning of GTA 5 really does feel like Rockstar tried to go edgy and say "These new characters? They're more evil than the old ones."
I so agree with you. Considering Johnny was weak from meth & caught off guard, that just made Trevor look like a dick, not a badass imo. I liked Johnny so R* instantly made me not care about Trevor as he was introduced.
I imagined an alternative ending to the fight where it's an actual fist fight with Johnny and it ends similar to jacket vs biker in hotline miami, both of them get injured and it ties and because of Trevor fighting Johnny, The Lost MC would still hate him so it's an alternative to the story where everything stays almost the same but now with Johnny alive
I hate rockstar atm with how greedy they’ve become. But with that said, back when I was playing gta v for the first time and loving them still I fucking hated Trevor and literally dropped the game for about a week after having him kill Johnny.
Ik it was ratchett Johnny was a good character the way he died was dogggshitt but look like this it might help. In tlad johnny was smart strong and straight and grows alot in tlad. The Johnny u see in GTA5 is not the same. He's been brought down fried and and weak. Trevor is the strongest character out of the three protagonist so Johnny being in the state that he was made him vulnerable. That wasn't the real Johnny. The real Johnny k was strong smart fast and durable. Johnny k died with his clubhouse and the rest of the lost in liberty city. The Johnny in GTA 5 was jus a ghost
Over seven years, it isn’t hard to imagine that Johnny got lonely and turned back to Ashley at some point. Not to mention that the Lost MC isn’t simply a tiny MC, but like any large MC, it is worldwide, which would explain the fact that they still exist in large numbers. The Lost MC closely relates to the real world Outlaws MC, just like that Angels Of Death MC is analogous to the real world Hell’s Angels MC. It isn’t hard to believe that he went solo for a minute before hooking up with the LMC on the West Coast and fell in. As a former high ranking member, he would have held clout within the entire organization. It also isn’t hard to imagine that he reconnected with Ashley at some point after the events of GTA IV in order to wipe the slate clean and take her somewhere where it would be “safe”. A different chapter could mean a different attitude. Perhaps he just gave in at some point to the meth in a moment of weakness for Ashley and got hooked (“The crystal has got us, babe...”). Either way, yes, Rockstar should have given a better explanation.
I dunno man, I feel like it would be a stretch for him to get back with Ashley. If you call her after certain missions you can tell he has disdain for her romantically at least whether he knew he was being manipulated or not. He surely knew by the end, seeing how drugs led to the destruction of Billy and ultimately the Liberty Chapter and Ashley just furthering her addiction lead to Johnny cutting off for good. Johnny probably would've left her in Liberty City as it would be good for both of them, she realizes what's fucking her up and Johnny doesn't have that manipulative batch in his life. Let's say if she was in LS with Johnny, still, I dont see him getting with her as he showed more of a fatherly care for her rather than a lover, getting her out of stupid shit and for him to get hooked on ice is so out of character. Then again, im not on the R* team of writers so what do I know.
Johnny Klebitz It’s makes sense he got back with Ashley. You can tell that Johnny still had feelings for her throughout TLAD and the chapter was fucked. F U C K E D. I don’t blame Ashley that much either. I say it was 30% Ashley, 30% Billy, and 40% Johnny’s fault that the Lost MC went the way it did. TLAD makes you seem like Johnny was in the right, but in one of the Pegorino family’s perspective, Johnny was totally in the wrong.

you have gotten a few things wrong. the lost mc were NOT a worldwide gang in IV. they were a small MC that only existed in LC and alderney. in GTA V, they were retconned to be a nationwide gang. also, johnny would never "take ashley somewhere safe", not after TLAD's ending. don't believe me? listen to the post-ending phone calls of TLAD.
I completely agree. It made no sense for him to end up in a worse state than he was from the beginning of his own story. I feel like whoever wrote these scenes must have really hated his character. In one of Trevor’s earliest missions, you have to eliminate the remaining chapter members. Some of them will idly comment that they miss Billy. I mean, how badly did Johnny screw up for them to prefer Billy? There is no explanation for it.
It would have been a better setup to Trevors character if they had johnny start his own gang in los santos and was a boss fight for Trevor who tries to take over his gangs buisness. Make it an intense knife fight or something, even if he dies than johnny dies in a blaze of glory.
That whole scene just made me question the mortality and actual lifespan of a gta character after they peak. I just took it as johnny peaked during tlad and it never got that crazy again for him

Johnny had already lost everything by the end of TLAD, I don't know why Rockstar had to kill him off. Though I will disagree that Johnny "left" The Lost, like he always says "Brothers for life. Lost forever." I think a huge part of his character is how he carries that "outlaw biker" mentality, its his biggest weakness and I could totally see him Clay, and Terry all keeping in close contact But on that note, why is every single character from GTA 4 *magically* in Los Santos? Gay Tony makes a little sense, he'd go where ever the money is. But The Lost? They had practically nothing, no resources, no manpower NOTHING. Why would they pack that all up and move to the other side of the country??? Why the fuck is Packie there? He outright says he and Kate (and maybe not even Kate) are all his mother has left, for all his faults Packie does care about his family it makes no sense for him to ditch them especially after all his brothers died. PS: Where's Angus!? He was so under-utilized in TLAD! Why didn't they bring him back too if they were already committed to fucking everything else up.

Bro why would he stay in LC if he has nothing there, Niko most likely stopped his crime life and went clean. Kate is dead, Gerald is locked up for life, Derrick is dead (either from Niko or Drugs), Frankie (if niko killed him) and his mom most likely died shortly after the events of all GTA 4 stories. Makes sense for him to leave LC for a new start in LS
A year late here but anyways. If you look closely to Johnny's patched jacket it says " I rode Los Santos 2004" or something like that. So it does make kinda sense why Johnny and the Lost went to Los Santos since that's where he likely 1st found & rode with the Lost.
Very well said. It’s a shame Johnny had to die. He’s way better than Trevor. GTA V story mode would have been better if they improved Trevor’s first scene. Also, you should have been able to play basket ball, bowling and go to the gym like in San Andreas. I felt that GTA IV had a better story mode overall.
It's damn sad the way he went out. I mean if they really wanted to kill off Johnny they could've done it way better than this This is just a rough idea of how it could have been handled: The MR Phillips mission could've started the same but instead of Johnny continuing to pester Trevor. He decides it's not worth it and backs off, deciding Ashley and Trevor can have each other. Trevor then goes onto to raid the airbase where the Lost is at and kills a bunch of them in Nervous Ron. This of course pisses them off. Later as Chef and Trevor are fighting the Aztecas they're also attacked by more Lost members, which they deal with. Later when Wade and Trevor leave Sandy Shores they are intercepted by Johnny himself and the remainder of the Lost. This results in a big shootout in which Trevor finally kills Johnny. Trevor is still established as a badass without butchering Johnny's character There's probably lots of holes in my idea. Maybe it would've been better if Johnny and Trevor were allies. Idk anyone is welcome to add onto this

What I find the most annoying about a lot of people is that everyone thinks and ranks Johnny as one of the worst GTA Characters based on how they saw him in GTA V, but not because of who he was in GTA IV, and Johnny was a Badass Lost MC Leader who was smart and knows what's best for his Club as well as how to carefully create thoughtful strategies and clever plans. It doesn't even make sense how Johnny fell so hard from grace after having an ending breaking up with Ashley as well as with the Lost MC Gang while showing to have always been against drugs, then suddenly he's just another depressed meth addict who's gotten weak from the very next game because of Rockstar deciding to use him as plot device probably to give Trevor his Epic Moment. It doesn't even help that people assume what happened between the events of GTA IV and GTA V to justify Johnny becoming a meth addict because there's literally just no proof. Rockstar literally just decided to take their own character they put so much effort and good writing in it, and throw it out like how Trevor threw the bottle and smashed it against Johnny's Head. People don't understand we are upset about Rockstar killing of Johnny just like that and thinking we're just triggered GTA IV fanboys, not realizing it's because we grew to love and appreciate Johnny's Well Written Character who's almost just as good as Niko's and Luis's Character imo. I'm pretty sure the very same people would react the same way if Rockstar immediately kills CJ and made him weak after being so badass in the past for the sake of a new character's introduction. Maybe then they would rank CJ rock bottom the same way they did with Johnny, but I doubt it because these people are that biased and hypocritical.
I think it's because Rock star saw how similar he is to John from red dead redemption so they wanted to complete the similarities by having him killed on screen too
It's so simple, just replace Johnny with a one-off character and another biker gang. Why did they think fans would enjoy a reference to their past stories while they kill off the protagonist of said story??
In one mission the Lost said Johnny was unfit to be a leader and preferred Billy. One of them was like how does one guy wipe out a whole gang? *4th wall broken*
I think it's really ugly to sacrifice an attractive former protagonist to make a new protagonist come out and I think it's something that writers shouldn't do.

To be fair, GTA VCS released a long time after VC, so I’d say it wasn’t as bad for Rockstar to kill a protagonist in another game. If anything, they improved upon him by giving him a bigger backstory. Still sucks that he died but still.
I HATED Johnny's death. I would have preferred if Johnny and The Lost were the main antagonists of Blaine County, with Martin Madrazzo's cartel having tied connections to the Lost with Steve Haines letting it happen

I loved johnny, he was my favourite character.. however he certainly wasn't a fan favourite. I will say though i can understand the spiral after losing jim, fell for Ashley and allowed toxic love to destroy him..... It almost destroyed me, i had an ex cheat, then she turned to meth, i thought i could bring her back from it, however those people cannot be saved by anyone but themselves if left, theyll take you down with them, which is what happened to johnny. Trying to save this person nearly destroyed my life in the process, my point is the ending for johnny was gut wrenching and tragic.... in time i think it was a captivating ending

First time I played GTA V I killed Trevor, I hate him for killing Johnny. Johnny for me, was on par with CJ as being one of my favourite characters There was an easier way to make this work that would’ve been better for shock value, create a character in the Online story mode, make him a friend of the online character or something and hype him up to be a badass but use him for shock value to introduce Trevor. Maybe make him part of the Lost or another gang

Johnny was always with the Lost and he even said that they were like family to him. He loved his brothers more than his own life, and he would do anything for them. So, the only reason why Johnny was pissed off was because of Billy, Brian, and the death of his best friend or close brother Jim. It even says that in TLAD that Johnny wouldn't get into drugs anymore, and it doesn't make sense why he would get back together with Ashley. The Johnny that I knew would've killed Trevor right there and then and he wouldn't of said a word about it. I hope that Rockstar can reverse this somehow because they pissed off a lot of their fans including me. Rockstar faked Michael's death, so maybe they can do that with Johnny, because there is an easter egg that proves that Johnny is still alive, and Terry and Clay can take 1 bullet. I mean Johnny, Terry and Clay got rid of The Angels of Death for good, but Rockstar won't let him take on Trevor! COME ON!, back then Johnny was the badass of Liberty City and everyone loved him, now it's his time to return and he needs to put Trevor back in his place by killing him!

One of the best scientists from the University of Vice City in 3D universe, created a machine that can jump GTA Universe's and so, Tommy expanded to Blaine County, San Andreas as he was able to jump across into the HD universe. As he's like almost 60, his sons manage things now, mainly Jacob Vercetti and they got Trevor to fuck off with his lame shitty drugs and arms trade business. They know he's a whiney methhead who cries being a victim at Michaels betrayal back in 2004 in North Yankton, when really he's the last person who needs friends. Look at what he did to keep Wade as his friend.

I completely agree man. I didn't know Leslie Benzies left the company in the middle of this game's development because she's still the first name you see in the credits, but nonetheless..... It still makes zero sense why they killed him off like that, even when it comes to the storyline. Some people would say "well they killed him off because Trevor's a main character and the Lost MC was a conflict for his business" Yet you still see members of the Lost MC periodically throughout the game when you're cruising around Blaine County, or random events where someone's getting robbed by them. So obviously this rival gang still exists in the game which makes killing the main characters of the Lost seem completely pointless. They could have easliy kept all of them in the game and not put too much focus on a gang / group from this game's prequel. I honestly probably won't even be buying GTA6 if it ever does come out, because I've got a gut feeling that some BS like this is gonna happen in the next game

Honestly the way rockstar treated Johnny in gta 5 was uncalled for, because he was badass in gta 4 in fact playing as him in gta 4 tells you alot about his biker life if you decide to do the gang wars or even the main missions he's the only character aside from niko and vic who actually dislikes his lifestyle because he still relys on his gang that he considers family in fact by the end he gets screwed over by Billy and nearly killed by Ray leading to the point where he realizes that him along with Terry and Clay and Jim were his only friends because of Billy's stupidity and after putting a closure to his story and ending the l.c chapter I think rockstar should've ended his story right there instead of making him a sad depressing meth head with Ashley in gta 5 I just find it cruel for rockstar to kill him off just to make Trevor look cool
