Genuinely cool how ROTF (despite its incredibly inconsistent writing) was able to foreshadow the story of DOTM by quickly mentioning Sentinel Prime's invention of the pillars that held the power to receive "echoes" from deep space e.g. teleporting massive interstellar bodies.

I think it all can be summarized by considering The Fallen's statement that the Allspark's power can never be destroyed and only move between vessels and so it moved from Sam to the Matrix when he died and then he was able to use it after being deemed worthy by the Primes.

Sam may not have been the greatest human character ever but I still liked him, it’s sad that he’s gone now.

I honestly thought you had covered most mysteries & plot holes in the bayverse, but the ones you mentioned for the future really show how much you have to work with creatively but also that Bay just threw in for fun.

I think it would be a fun or cool idea if you made a video of ranking or tier list of the live action TF vehicles, Aircrafts, water vehicles, Military, Cybertron etc, and taking about which ones you like & dislike then & which you would like to have in real life

Honestly this acting of him having the mental breakdown in class is top tier acting to me, regardless of how goofy it seems. I mean I don't know that many actors that can do that mouth spaz thing.

This is why I love this channel. It adds so much more depth to these movies that most people wouldn’t have noticed on the first watch. I’ve watched the first three movies over and over ever since I was like 5 and the thought of everything in this video never crossed my mind. This channel is more than just theories, it’s an eye opener.

I always considered that the Primes were always unside the Matrix. Like when they "Sacrificed" themselves to keep Megatronus away from the Matrix. They didnt just hide it. They transfered their Sparks inside of it. So they can decide who can wield it. Test who ever touches the Matrix. If Megatronus found it first, the same thing would have happened.

It wasn't a plot hole but one of either a few or many instances where Sam doesn't change as a character. In Revenge of The Fallen and Dark of The Moon, Sam just constantly tries to have a normal life and pushes away the Autobots. If he actually cared about the Autobots he would have told them, but no he was more focused on college life than the Autobots. Also, he would have the protection of the Autobots so if they try to attack him, Optimus Prime and the Autobots would be there for him.

This is very great. I would love to see a video that goes deeper into what would happen if Sam Witwicky told Optimus Prime and the other Autobots about the Cybertronian symbols he had been seeing. Although since Sam Witwicky did not remember his first mental breakdown until his second one, Sam Witwicky’s second mental breakdown will have to happen in front of Optimus Prime and Bumblebee.

Um, you forgot to answer the questions you mentioned could be answered by this theory, why did Sam not tell the Autobots about the second cube sliver, and why did he not use it to revive Optimus.

I think the simple reason sam didn't bring up the shard was to make sure no decepticons would come after him again (which didn't work all that well in the end) As for why he didn't bring the messages up i have no clue why

Funny yesterday, I was telling a friend the visions were the language of the primes and the vision were close to the sparks of the matrix. Because the matrix houses thier sparks

And there is a theory that the Cube is sympathetic to decepticons, not autobots. So it’s possible that the shard blocked Sam from accessing the memories of the fits so he wouldn’t tell autobots about them. It seems thrilling!

The matrix absorbing the allspark energy and becoming mystical like it is everywhere else is a really cool idea!!! It would have been a great way to keep the allspark relevant in some form for future films. But alas...

In the early 2007 screenplay, when I touched AllSpark, there was a production where the vision of Sentinel Prime appeared and told me to use AllSpark to defeat Megatron.

Why didn't Sam tell Bee or Prime about the symbols and shard? Because he didn't want to get involved in the war anymore. He makes that abundantly clear when Prime shows up personally to call on his help. It wasn't the smartest decision, but it's at least an understandable one when you look at what he was going through at the time, how it would disrupt his life. The memory/snapping-out-of-it theory is also good, but at the very least, the answer above is basically given by the film. Why didn't Sam use the shard to revive Optimus? Ignoring the fact he didn't have access to Prime when he had the shard (first Prime was surrounded by Cons, then he was taken by the military)... why should we assume Sam _knew_ the shard could revive Optimus? If anything, he'd think the opposite; he _saw_ the Allspark kill a bot, he _made_ it kill Megatron. Why would this thing which takes a life also give a life? It's understandable to me, at least.

Great video! You only briefly mentioned it but I think the reason why Sam didn't tell Optimus about his shard of the allspark is probably for selfish reasons. Dude tells Prime that he wants to be a normal guy so telling him he has a piece of the allspark would just make the Autobots and NEST investigate Mikeala. Though maybe it's not a selfish reason and he just didn't wanna involve her in this? Then again the autobots taking the allspark shard from her would remove her from the situation. Actually nvm, good luck on theorizing that one because nothing I can think of really works lol

Not just that but when both Sam and Decepticons used the shard they never thought about using it again think about after Megatron and Jetfire came to life both shards were never brought up or thought about using it again. It also reminds me when Airrazor never told her team that she was being controlled by scourge, even Elena knew something was wrong with her but never brought it up to her teammates to possibly prevent her death or the terrorcons from getting the key

Theorymus, the reason why the mentioning of the Matrix of Leadership becoming a new vessel for the AllSpark didn't make to the final cut, is because that dialogue was supposed to be in the original ending, which was changed to the version we got due to the Writer Strike and ILM bitting more than it could chew, just like you said in your video about the original ROTF ending. While it wasn't mentioned or shown onscreen, the simple fact that the Matrix returned in DOTM shows that the Matrix really became a new vessel for the AllSpark despite no one speaking about it. In fact, the DOTM novelization says that the AllSpark learned all of Earth's languages while it was inside Optimus' chest as the Matrix of Leadership, and when it was used to bring Sentinel back, said knowledge was passed to him, explaining how he was able to speak in English upon revival. Last but not least, the reason people didn't know about this is because that detail was never mentioned onscreen, and the fact that the Aligned Continuity decided to portray the AllSpark and the Matrix of Leadership as completely seperate artifacts didn't help things, either... that is until now, thanks to your video. Great video Theorymus Prime! 👏

I have a theory on why there was no sound when he snapped out of it at the frat party. Maybe it's because it was only a minor episode and there were already loud sounds going on around him.

If Sam did tell Optimus about the symbols, the deceptions would still kill prime and the autobots would not survive or win the battle in Cairo.

Why didn’t Sam use the Allspark to revive Optimus? That’s because Optimus was literally shot through the chest. His spark was shot through. And the Matrix can produce Energon, but it can’t make sparks. That’s why Jazz wasn’t revived in the first one. So the Matrix is something that could restore his spark.
