This was a fun one. I like Transformers. Links to figures listed are in the comments when asked. 0:00 - What To Expect 0:57 - 5 1:35 - 4 2:30 - 3 4:20 - 2 6:24 - 1 8:06 - Final Thoughts
For anyone wondering about links to purchase these figures, I haven’t posted any because these figures are going in and out of stock in most online stores. If you’re interested in one of them, reply to this telling me which one and I’ll do the best I can to give you a link to the best place to buy it!
@@Mrmonkey692 that’s a tough one my guy, sad you missed him when he came out. I just saw him on Amazon for $400 lol, his prices have skyrocketed. Sadly right now your best bet will be finding him used on eBay, but even then I doubt you’ll find him for less than $100.
Do you still have the place where you got your grimlock? the key thing for me is that it made with metal like you said so its durable and look nicer. and the price that you bought or estimate price from he place you recommend =))) thank you
I feel like the movies aren’t very loved. But I ADORE grimlock’s design, I know it’s not like the G1 design but MY GOSH the movie grimlock is PERFECT in my opinion.
I remember seeing almost a decade ago a Devastator figure, separable of course into what goes into the whole thing. I’m one with you, that changed my life. Also, I remember a deluxe Optimus and Jetfire that can be combined. I don’t think I’m misremembering.
Dude for a second i really thought that Devs was the actual devil saviour, i was shocked it was the hasbro one all pimped out with that Kit! I'm actually having second thought about it now! Great vídeo Man, please keep it up!
Haha I did a lot of work on him between the kit and posing him as best as I could. It really does make a difference. If it’s all someone can afford as apposed to the Devil Saviour one, then I’d definitely say that the add on kit is a MUST. Adds a million dollars to the set for sure.
Interesting, really cool actually. I wouldn't have expected any of the figures. I really love hearing people's favorites since everyone has different answers based on personal preference and nostalgia. I wish there were more videos like this.
Love the attitude man, I’m on the same page. I like seeing people have different opinions on these things, otherwise what’s the point of watching? Glad you enjoyed it!
My favourite thing to see on this site is watching someone talk about what their genuinely passionate about, I can see the pure passion in his voice I love it
dude the fact that Devastator in the movies changed your life is the same way the original Devastator in the 80's cartoon changed mine. it was also the beginning of combiner transformers that followed with i also was obsessed with! special shoutout to superion and menasor
Dude, the way you explain it is so friendly and clear. Instant like and subscribe. This video relieves my stress. I guess I have to buy a Desvastator or Shockwave next month
Saw your video on the recommended, I’m impressed! I can totally appreciate and respect the passion for transformers, I saw the mainstream movies when I was about 12, and have anticipated each movie coming out! Keep it up! Great content!
I've been collecting here and there since I was 5! I recently got back into it and have been trying to complete my movie cast. The G Creation figure you show off is fantastic but I honestly love the leader class version and prefer its paint job. Despite that, I'm probably going to buy the G Creation eventually
The leader class SS grimlock is still pretty darn awesome, so I can’t argue with anyone who likes him. But trust me man, you’ve got to get g creation’s in hand before you can understand just how dope he is. Despite how good the SS one is, G Creation makes the SS one feel like paperweight cheap plastic in comparison. And the paint job is just so accurate in person. I still have both on display, because I’m just a sucker for good grimmy’s, But the only thing I’d say SS has over GC is the head sculpt is a little cooler. Simply put, you just gotta have both haha.
My favorite was revenge of the fallen Optimus prime. I got that in 2009 and I even made shitty RU-vid videos (which I've since taken down and thrown at the bottom of the ocean lmao) on how to transform it. Then for Christmas my uncle got me Jetfire, and I was blown away that you could actually combine these massive intricate figures to make the design from the end of the movie.
Interesting that you went for the third party with the final figure. I think all of those figures are improved by third party but I respect that you kept the official in the reviews. The G creations grimlock is absolutely epic but I sold it because it was too small for my MPM collection. Although I imagine it's great for studio series scale. I always enjoy your reviews and how professional your camera work and editing is. Well done and keep up the great work
Subbed straight up despite this being possibly the only video of yours that I’ve seen (so far) because: 1) if I did my math correctly, you’re 21 years old and living a dream I wish I could’ve achieved (boy am I envious of that collection… in a good way) 2) this video is remarkably well put together and presented. Keep at it bruh. You deserve wayyyy more subs
"My boy, let me introduce you to the black magic of Chinese engineers who work in a basement and design their robots with a 10 years old computer" - Kratos the Prime said calmly.
This man makes me feel better that I’m still collecting transformers as a 14yo Edit: what’s that Grimlock figure? I want. Update: three years older and love collecting them.
My friend, I'm 42 and collecting masterpiece. I finally completed mmc bruticus and I am pretty happy about it. I also picked up Jin boa devastator which is just so awesome. I don't care for the bayformers, but if they float your boat, then I'm happy for you.
I'm a Beast Wars guy and not the biggest fan of the live action movies (except Bumblebee, I love the modernized but still classic look update) but some of the figures from the movies are straight up awesome.
First time ever seeing one of your vids bro. Hope that doesn’t sound bad. To make up for it it was an instant sub so I’ll be seeing more of you 😁. This was a great vid and you’re number one was a great choice.
im a huge transformers fan. i grew up in the 80s and now me being nearly 43 years old i still collect them as a hobby. i have a pretty good sized collection from the studio series and WFC line. i cant wait to get my hands on legacy menasor.
Very nice choices! I do love Gcreation Grimlock. The mace is badass but way too top heavy. Only main flaw with the figure. I have him displayed in Dino mode with OP riding him (obviously!).
While I enjoy the Bay Transformers. The only reason I don't collect a lot of the toys. Is that a LOT of the ones that are either grey or silver look so identical it's hard to tell them apart. It kinda puts them off for me. Though there is a few that I do wanna find sometime. Personally I LOVE the WFC and Siege Transformers. That's mostly what I have. The 86 movie line is absolutely killing it for me. I have every one I can find so far. Only bay TF I have is Ravage from ROTF. He just looks awesome. This was a cool vid. And glad to see a younger generation getting into and collecting Transformers.
I totally get that, a love for G1 styled figures is a good love to have lol. The recent WFC figures are some of the best figures Hasbro has EVER put out IMO. Maybe I should make a top 5 ranking of those.
I have a G1 Soundwave (about a foot and a half in height when in bot mode) with Lazerbeak and Ravage. I bought it when I was 8-9 and I am 18 now. Ah nostalgia.
Just Monster strip lights from Walmart :) But I wouldn't recommend them to use after several years of usage in my display. They have a very poor quality and lifespan. I'd recommend Govee Strip lights as a higher quality affordable option :)
Yeah dude I love my devy with the upgrade kit. That sucks you weren’t able to get a long haul. I ordered mine from China so it was like $20 more expensive than he already was.
dude i have a devastastator, and i love how it looked tbh, but seeing that kit on it as well, lets just say i need to know where to get that kit from. and imagine if we ever got a masterpiece Devastator? that would be HUMONGUS
My fav mold will always be the roft leader class prime mold. However, just like you, my fav prime design is the dark of the moon design with open abs, trailer and jet wing. Recently just bought a black mamba prime and its worth it. Always wanted to get a striker prime as well.
So I’ve been trying to start collecting some Studio Series figures since I wasn’t able to before due to the pandemic and me focusing on my health and safety for my family. Any idea where I could start?
If you want to down the real rabbit hole, you'll hit your Devastator with the Toyhax labels (which really plus him, especially for Scavenger, Hightower and Overload) and then slap some Tamiya weathering on him to add dust, dirt, rust and muck. He looks truly amazing.
Oh hey I recently got Gcreation Wrath myself! I remember seeing the early pics for it and wanting it so bad, but couldn't get it when it first released. Now that it's been reissued I was able to get one for a decent price and I LOVE it. He's big and beautiful in either dino or robot mode, definitely one of the grails of my collection now. I'm just wondering why he wasn't really reviewed as much, aside from a few folks like PrimeVSPrime, Benscollectables and Emgo the rest are from chinese and spanish reviewers I can't even understand. Makes me feel like he was extremely underrated, I wouldn't mind seeing a more in-depth review of him from other reviewers like yourself sometime, even though I already have him 😅
I don't know if you've heard of this but HIGHLY reccomend Unique Toys Peru Kill Lockdown. That figure is the BEST figure of Lockdown you'll ever see in my opinion. Far better than the studio version because while the studio version does have some great detail, it has clear plastic pieces that break too easy
I’m not big into transformers like when I was younger but I always remember getting this massive transformer that turned into a planet. I was a pretty stupid kid I remember it took me like two days to make him into the whole planet. Very surprised I didn’t see him in this list. I thought it would of been some sort of holy grail lol.
My favorite people in the comments are the ones like you who know the least about Transformers. Seriously, I love reminding people about something special from their childhood, and I'm super glad I got to do that for you. Just so you know, they recently came out with a brand new version of that same character that turns into a planet, except now he's 3 times the size of a basketball in planet mode, and he's 2.5 feet tall standing up in robot mode. Literally biggest Transformer ever made. Not sure if you heard about it from 2020, but I thought you'd like to hear if not. Anyways, I got him and I can confirm he's in my top 5 favorite all time figures I own, but he's just not from the Movie-verse, which is why I didn't list him. This list was only for figures from characters in the 5 Michael Bay movies. Maybe I'll make a Top 5 favorite Generation 1 toys list.
@@papermelon i actually remember him specifically never being in the movies I just remember my dad getting me him and he was so massive at the time. It’s crazy to think they actually remade that character. What his name again? Thank you sm for the reply man. Means the most. ❤️🔥🤞🏽
@@papermelon You definitely owe it to yourself to get the 4th party MPM Starscream KO! It's a work of art, I still bought the original to support the hasbro designers but the KO version blows it out of the water with its paint apps and they added a bunch more ratchet joints to let him stand better
@@fifamia8058 huh, I’ll be honest I didn’t even know a 4th party mpm starscream existed. I’ve considered getting the KO black mamba mpm megatron just cause the paint on the OG sucks, but I never considered it for starscream. Where did you get yours?
I've loved transformers since TF Armada, which was my first exposure. Though, sadly I've stopped collecting them sometime after TF3 came out. Still love the IP and watch the shows they make.
Loved Transformers a long time, laughs in old age, son I was sitting in front of the tv the first afternoon at 4 pm waiting for whatever this new show that was supposed to be as good as Voltron and Tranzor z was gonna be! That Grimlock is badass tho!!!!!
I had the full size version of optimus that was combinable with jet fire from revenge of the fallen they where about 12inch high toys, probably some of the coolest ones I've ever owned
I've had Transformers figures since I was very little. The BayFormers came out when I was 15 and I've had/have tons of those figures. There were so many better choices from these lines than what you featured. The Leader Class series for one were amazing, along with the Human Alliance sets. The combiner Optimus/Jetfire was way better than the Jetwing Optimus imo. Love seeing people in the Transformers community show off their stuff but I feel like you could have had better ones to show off lol.
Gotta be honest, this comment kinda made me sad. I was excited to see an older fan enjoying the video, but ultimately you seem to have a lot of confusion between the difference of what’s your opinion vs fact, like many opinionated TF fans. I also want to point out that you don’t seem to understand what you’re talking about by comparing your favorites vs mine. “The leader class series for one was amazing” doesn’t make any sense. The Optimus prime I listed in this video is literally a leader class figure. “Leader Class” isn’t a limited run series, it’s a size class still going today. I also enjoyed human alliance figures a lot, but I like the modern ones much more because they’re much more accurate to the movie, and they’re in scale with each other. But see, that’s all just my opinion… And this is MY top 5 favorite transformers. I’m listing my favorites. Not yours. “I feel like you could have had better ones to show off” I’m not here to show off the figures that you like, I’m here to show mine in a way other people can enjoy. I don’t mind people disagreeing with my choices and saying “hey this is what I would have chosen”. But I DO have a qualm with people who say “this is incorrect. There are better figures than these, and you chose wrong. Show me better ones next time”.
1. Metagate - AirKing (Terrorsaur) 2. Fansproject Function X - Smartrobin (Brainstorm) 3. Gcreation MTST-O1- Wrath (Bayverse Grimlock) 4. Unique Toys - Dragoon (The last knight Megatron) 5. MP50 Tigartron (Although this spot belongs to Unique Toys Peru Kill - Lockdown I love the character Tigatron more) Those are my top 5 I think, I have expensive taste now that I'm 33.
I've always been kind of a fan of transformers since the first movie, never was crazy about it but I did have a comic book with dinobots and I have a transformable movie Bumblebee. I do wish to obtain other characters of the same type
Can I just say masterpiece star scream is actually accurate sized to others I've played tf the game and everyone comes up to his waist and in real life his alt mode is huge
I remember all of my optimus primes' arm that i got when i was younger always gets broken because I was so young and had no idea how joints work then in one of the movies, his arm got cut off making my toys canon
The Movie designs are always going to be my favorite even tho I've been more into the C.H.U.G and War for Cybertron lines (mainly because the Walmart in my town isn't too consistent with movie figures even before Corona so they don't get that excuse for me I just got unlucky with the distributing of waves) but they will always ones that when I get them I adore them WAY more then others.
By far to this day my all time favorite figure from the Michael Bay iteration is the MechTech Ultimate Optimus Prime figure. The Optimus itself was nearly perfect with little flaws and then his trailer which was quite massive but to scale turned into an exo suit of a jet pack only flaw with the trailer is you couldn’t really move the legs much or maybe you could but they were on ratchet joints so I didn’t wanna break it
