How Scummy Players CHEAT To Radiant 

At some point in the last act the number 1 radiant was one of these 5 stack abusers. And it very simple to fix, just make the max rank difference in any kind of stack be 6 ranks. Great vid as usual.

This is a bigger issue than many people realize, i constantly speak out about this. the #1 Radiant in APAC did this, same with #1 EU last EP

Riot changed it so that you couldn't do this, but then people just smurfed more because they couldn't queue with their friends, so they reverted it. They should have different rules for people immo+ though

Love seeing stuff like this being adressed. Low ranked players face this problem aswell sometimes. When I 5 stack with friend (Plats/Diamonds) we sometimes face 1 ascendant with bronze/silvers/golds that are most of the time just smurfing maybe besided one and we get most of the time destroyed or in a really rough game. It just ruins 30 minutes of play time or instead take the L and surrender and lose even more RR. It's just sad, their ego is to big to realize it.

lol me and my friend have been trying to build evidence because we noticed this like a month ago and found a bunch of cheaters and boosting going on, about 10% of top like 1-2k in NA are cheaters/boosted players, thank you for giving some platform and putting this on blast

Damn, this one's new to me, this is wild. on the off chance I do I five stack, personally I don't enjoy it, I always play within 2 or three ranks, probably the biggest gap I've played is bronze to plat/dia, which is actually quite a big diff now that I look at it. The rr reduction of five stacks should be scaled to rank, like this should be really hard to do if they decide to keep it in the game

I don't think riot will really do anything about this, as soon as these players hit low radiant it becomes -75% so they don't really show up much at the top of the board. The only solutions would be to just ban this outright which is bad for people trying to play with friends or to matchmake based on the highest player in the team which isn't perfect either. Having soloqueued to rad it does detract from the achievement that these clowns can just 5 stack abuse to it but there isn't a good solution.

The Smurf issue has me playing less Valorant

I want an option to block 5 or 4 stacks… it’s such an unfair advantage while my team hardly talks at all most of the times 😭

Indian valorant is schite region, one will either meet shallow egoistic, toxic players or cheaters and later there have been lot of cheaters in Indian valorant, i have had like 8 matches out of 14 detected cheater match cancellations. I stopped playing valorant, sold my account;uninstalled it and reinstalled CS2 best decision ever.

Boosted players are the reason I stopped playing ranked in Mumbai server. The story is same in lower ranks as well. There are many players who hit immo with less skill than mine but I peaked only Ascendant 1

This used to happen in lol, not at this level but still. I'm surprised they didn't fix it or not let it happen in the first place in valorant. Riot doesn't learn from its mistakes...

I am a plat player in Indian server (Mumbai) and this act I feel like the skill disparity aming the same rank is huge . I never felt this issue where people are almost equally skilled to me but now I play against a jett who kills me instantly and when i chcek the tracker it shows that he was immortal 2 episodes ago . And then I will play against a team who cant just do anything they were gold last act so the skill difference is so huge and back and forth east then hard game cycles are tiring.you shoyld talk about this as well . Same plat rank one plays like silver one plays like immortal .

They need to increase the rr reduction from rank disparity in a 5-stack. It already is reduced currently, but they need to make it minuscule af. A rank disparity like that should give 5rr at most because at that point anyone who’s genuinely trying to play ranked wouldn’t be queuing with such a disparity.

i had played with her ranked once as a random her name was toxic queen and she was verbally abusing everyone in the team. she started using slurs and when we tried to stop her she started playing victim card. She started calling us sexiest and telling her fans to dox us.

I don't even play Valorant, but you mean to tell me that @4:06 a Bronze ranked player is outperforming an Immortal player at the time by over x4? Totally not a smurf.

Thank you are addressing this issue , it needs more visibility. Right now the situation is so bad that 8/10 unrated games have smurfs and ranked is already broken as is. Its almost impossible to avoid them and have a single chill game

I was also the worst player in my trio, so when I finally ranked up to be able to play with my diamond friends it was the best feeling. It's just really a skill issue if you or your friends are too bad to play with each other.

boosting boosting fuck i hate it. it sucks alr to play against a smurf... we 5stacked against a guy, who dropped like 50-60 frags on us while the rest of the team had arround 10. he said hes in the top 50 eu radiants... but smurfing could be dealt with, if you stop the smurfing by pohnenumber locked accounts or sum. but boosting is even worse man. boosting is shit for the people against it while its happening AND for the people in the team w the boosted account, once the account palys solo for once... it just sucks ass TWICE... riot do som- oh right they gotta do new skins every 5 days to get some 13yo to use their moms creditcard onit.

when RIOT have turned on their brains they will realize that assigning personal ranks to players when their performance depends on that of the team and not on themselves directly, maybe we can stop having radiant fraudulent, it's the same thing when you lose a game by being the best player in the game, the game considers that you are bad and therefore makes you lose points instead of making you move up because you are much better than you you're adversary.

This is the reason why I like games that go off of the top ranked person in the group. The lower ranked people in the group would get a bit more mmr since they won against higher ranked people and the top ranked person would get a little bit less since they are playing with more people.

Easy solution is that if a member of a five stacks rating is below a certain threshold their rank isn’t included in calculating the average.

The problem kind of fixes itself. She clearly doesn’t get any achievement from it bc she doesn’t work for it, and she’ll get knocked out eventually since she doesn’t deserve it. While it sucks for people who 5 stack, it’s not a big deal overall bc there really isn’t a point in doing it besides saying “ I hit radiant” which no one will care after knowing how.

The way faceit tackled this for cs2 was to limit the elo gained, if the level gap in the lobby was above X amount.

In the game I play, which is rocket league, if you bring a friend up to GC you’re gonna be playing against other GCs. I don’t know why riot can’t get this working 😂

simple fix: instead of average rank it takes highest rank (personally i would say they should do this even for duos but im not to sure) or they could make it so you cant 5 stack unless ur all in the same "average range" just wanted to add this: i think "smurfing" is only okay if ur doing it to have an alt you can just play on and experiment with line ups, play styles, learning different agents to then use on your main aslong as your not purposely playing in lower ranks like (example) keeoh does agent speedruns to learn them befor using them on his main which is okay in my eyes since the only time hes really "smurfing" is his 5 placement games

And work hard for it. Atleast then you’ll feel satisfied and happy. R6 tried the MMR restriction which basically forced people to get smurf accounts to play with friends which is why they did away with it after a while. Val had good intentions to put MMR restrictions at one point but they took into considerations that it won't be a good solution long term for them, might be how they noticed how R6 tried it or feedback. So tbh instead of questioning why they decided to walk back on a band aid fix. Try to literally look at a different game that tried and see how it made things much difficult. Because higher ranks do want to play with their friends and they shouldn't have to be punished and forced to get a different account because they are a higher rank than their friends.

I don't see how more than a 1-2 rank difference between people in a lobby in RANKED makes any sense- even like a diamond queueing with a bronze is just... not fun

The playing my friends excuse works too well and the majority of these cases don't get banned even if they get noticed and reported. People up at Riot are afraid of the bronze players scoring 30+ in diamond/ascendant lobbies being legit bronze💀. AS IF Riot can't check whether that person is smurfing or not with their kernel level anti-cheat and all that

They should just borrow ranked restrictions from league of legends. Diamond+ players can only queue with +/- 2 divisions and Masters+ players can only solo queue. Everybody else has to be within 1 rank of each other ie: gold/plat and everyone under gold can queue together from iron to gold

I was queuing 5 man with my friends (Gold-Plat Elo) and the enemy had an immortal smurf..... long story short, we drove that game to OT and that Immo smurf was pissed HAHAHHA, so satisfying to put these boosted players and smurfs in their place XD

The funny thing is, then they proceed to solo q 1 game and bottom fragg ruining all the other radiant/400-500rr games

Had a guy who'd give me shit for playing with gold 2 and 3's as plat 3, Now that same guy plays as an Ascendant 3 with Bronzes and golds in 5 stacks. Make it make sense

a good fix would be that party 5stack range cant be more than 3 full ranks (so asc3 could stack with gold1) and matchmaking would prioritize same avg mmr but needs to have at least 1 person close to highest mmr)

I hate that Riot made all ranks able to queue.. And if your friends "are silver" and you "just wanna queue together" then play on *your* account instead of your boyfriends account? I think they should still make Ascendant+ not be able to queue with anyone out of that 1 rank above +below rule.. Iron to Gold makes sense to me, plat and diamond are a weird limbo

There are some people in the world that don't share the view of "this is supposed to be an achievement" and don't really care about smurfing, regardless what you say these people will exist and until the company that owns the game does something this kind of boosting is never going to be resolved. Riot should just take inspiration from faceit and ban boosters and cheaters, and refund elo, then they would have so many more players in that game

Rank means nothing on valorant anymore. Many players above immortal use DMA cheats to climb. Ranked is unplayable these days. Riot should address it someday

in MOBAs i remember you can't queue with someone like 2 tiers lower than you, even if it's a full party. why can't they just implement the same system to valorant?

I think they should just make stacking work exactly how it does in rocket league, the highest rank in your party is the rank of players you queue against, that way even if they have smurfs in their party, they still play immo 3 lobbies

I hate to say it, but some friends just shouldn't q with each other. Either make it to where the lobby gets put into the highest elo of the five stack, or don't allow q'ing with lower levels.

In fortnite they have exactly the same system that u said like if there are 3 low rank players like bronze and 1 players int hat squad is high ranked that the matchmaking will depend upon the highest rank the the party

I'm a new valorant (and fps) player, trying to learn the game. I didn't understand how there are so many smurfs in this game, since it took me almost 2 months to get to level 20... It never occured to me that people could buy accounts lol

they should just add that even IF you play like this.. you have to deal with a -90% RR gain. its disgusting ppl need to do this for the sake of something so stupid like a rank.. like: Immo1,2,3 + silver, gold, plat (whatever) recieve a 90% gain reduction its that simple in 5 stacks.

I get why they reverted the previous attempt when it just reinforced smurfing on new accounts instead but they should have adjusted rather than fully revert. They already have the reduction system in place, make it more penalizing where gains are almost non-existent in a gap that large. Personal experience: I don't have the crazy cracked aim or mechanics but manage to sit in ascendant most acts nowadays with just decent choices. When my immo friends stack with me I already feel, and realistically am, a detriment. The good choices and timing I rely on are second nature to them and the aim is fairly consistent there. So if our team is already gapped with just one player a bit lower, what can lower rated players do? The gap becomes a chasm and they don't even get to play the game. Absolutely ruining the experience for both them and the, legitimate, competitive ladder players.

I think all they need to do is skew the match mmr closer to the highest persons rank. Where the previous average would be gold/plat, make it asc or something

the higher rank player should have more weigh with the mmr so instead of them going vs golds and plats they will be going against dia -acs players cuz the immo mmr is weighed heavier

They should just make it so that if immortals plat with lower ranks than asc the rr gain/lose % is -95% or some shit. Them it would take 20 games to gain the elo of one single game.
