Set up in 2016 by Javien, Woon Woon Pek Bee Hoon (稳稳白米粉) has a catchy name that rhymes and strikes a chord with customers. Javien has his unique way of cooking the dishes that is characterised by the soupy version. Before cooking, white Bee Hoon is stir-fried to give it some Wok Hei. Upon order, seafood is fried first, and then stir-fried with intense fire. It is so fascinating to see the chef manipulating a wok of fire!
The ingredients are then simmered in seafood broth before adding la la (clams) and Bee Hoon. The result is a gigantic basin of seafood platter swamped with crayfish, la la, prawns, fish slices and veggie, cooked well with flavour. The dish is the topped up with the crispy, homemade pork lard. The extra large plate has never failed to catch the attention of curious onlookers.
