How secure are camera doorbells? 

Our generation doesn't ring the doorbell We text or call to say We're outside

Some of you people amaze me with your newfound privacy concerns over the Ring Video Cam. You people sold your souls long ago when you started using the internet, wireless devices, smartphones, social media like Facebook, Alexa devices, and cloud-based devices or services, just to name a few. If you're going to venture into the land of Oceania, learn to live off the grid while staying on the grid. It can be done.

I think home surveillance cameras are just one of the many devices that can be a security hole. As more and more home appliances with internet connection capability are made available to consumers, there should be regulations or certification to make sure consumers are protected against security breaches. At bare minimum, user manuals should be required to come with recommended guidelines to best prevent security issues.

Buy a wired camera direct to a monitor in your home. Simple.

Would you use a camera in your doorbell?

Are cameras that are used in outdoor ATM'S considered "invasion of privacy"...if I robbed it. Or if the video captured something in its view..What about traffic cameras the government has been putting up for years?

Any advice for securing my Ring Doorbell as we have done for Alexa and Sidewalk? Not apparent or available in my Ring settings

I wouldn't get the doorbell cuz the Privacy Act the cops knows who goes in and out and who you are the local police. My brother didn't know that now he'll never get that doorbell again!!

Well those suppose to be put outside not inside so the hacker cant spy on you.

going to get one and there is nothing wrong with police seeing the footage when required, we cant moan about the police not doing their job if we keep restricting them and the tools they require to do it

Do we live in Canada or the old USSR, in B.C. there is a hospice they want nothing to do with helping people assisted suicide and same with there patience , the Patience that go there will die with there family may fix things get right with God of course be fore most die they want to get there old life straiten out with there new life after life with me it would be Jesus Christ and others it could be different but now because they will not take 50 patience that want to commit suicide they our taken there funding away , they said alright do not give us any money govt we will get some one else they said no we our closing down this hospice can't have people that want to die making peace with this life plus we our taken every thing no lease , this is what you call is evil. communist govt. Who is the govt to tell them they can not have a hospice it's been there helping the sick to die in peace over 25 ,who has turned this country into a cruel place to die .
