Thank you Dr. Jen! I’m sitting here crying while watching your video. I’m going through menopause and everything you talked about I’m going through, and I’ve felt so bad about myself because I thought “well I’m old and this is it for me”. I never put together that my menopause was causing me all these problems. I’m going to talk to my doctor about it all. I want to get back to feeling like myself again. I know it won’t be like it was when I was younger, but you have given me hope that it can definitely be better.

I'm pushing 70 and my libido has never been higher. Unfortunately, my husband passed a number of years ago, but I'm still hopeful to meet someone. I attribute my sex drive to taking care of myself all these years. I have a healthy diet, work out, no smoking or alcohol, have a positive attitude. The only factor I know I will have to address is the dryness, but I'm sure that' will be easily remedied. Menopause was easy for me. Yes, there are chemical/hormonal factors at play, but mindset is also important. Dwelling on symptoms only makes the situation worse. I remember at work all the women of that age lamenting NON-STOP, complaining and fanning themselves all day long. It's not helpful at all.

I love that "set free" because that's how it feels for me too.

Sex sucks it’s painful I had a hysterectomy at 32 I’m 51 and was left one ovary that I’ve had lot of problems with. I was on estrogen medication it helped for a bet but made me a crazy mess . I hade to stop taking it. I would like to find a natural alternative.

I havent had sex in years ,I went through menopause in my thirties . Sex is so painful.😢 im 60 now ive mentioned to my family Dr. whats going on often with no advice at all. I dont have a gyn anyone.

I went through full blown menopause in my late 40's and have no desire for sex anymore. It never even crosses my mind. Menopause killed my sex drive completely. On top of that I have soooo many other health issues like fibromyalgia, neuropathy, peripheral artery disease, diverticulitis etc . And I'm always in pain .The Drs tell me they can't give me anything for the menopausal stuff because I've had blood clots. I was married 26 years had 2 wonderful children a Daughter and son who are now grown. My ex and I have been divorced for many years now due to mental and physical abuse. He had put me through a lot.. Got into another long term relationship a couple years later we got engaged were together 10 years was still sexually active but started going through menopause while I was in that second long-term relationship about 9 yrs in and he didn't understand it because it almost cracked me up.. I shut down from everything going through full blown menopause back then. He just didn't understand so we ended up splitting up and I stayed single for quite some time. In 2019 I reconnected with a good friends brother after 30 years I met back as a teen He asked me out so we started dating fell in love got engaged after a year or so and have been together since but I could care less about sex I've tried with him a couple times but unfortunately I am small and he is just too round so it just won't work. We have tried several types of lubrications but those did not work either. At one point when we tried I bled so bad it scared him to death and kind of scared me to. Also had me hurting pretty bad. He is such a caring loving man and puts me up on a pedestal.. he'll be turning 57 this month and I'll be 56 in July. But he works a lot and it's so tired when he gets home he says it really doesn't bother him but I know he would like it at least once in awhile.. I was one that never had to have sex every single day several times a day and also never a promiscuous person and my ex-husband of 26 years was my first everything. I've been fighting to try to get some of my other health issues under control so I can see a gynecologist to see what I can do about my situation as far as having intercourse with my fiancee at least once in a while. I just recently had gallbladder surgery in which I thought was going to be a 45-minute surgery and ended up being 5 hours long because my gallbladder had imploded and it almost took my life.. I spent several days in the hospital on extremely strong antibiotics then when I was fortunate enough to come home from the hospital I still had to take two different kinds of antibiotics for another few weeks also had a drain tube in my side that was back on March the 27th and I'm still having issues with the pain from the gallbladder surgery. I just had a lot going on and I suffer from anxiety and depression as well..Lost my Dad last year. My dad and mom were married 58 years and we miss him so much.. I just want to feel better because these past 4 years seems to have gotten so much worse as far as my health is concerned. I just want my life back! Sorry for such a long comment I really do apologize.. and I do talk and my voice recorder a lot so if any of my words are not correct or something doesn't make sense that would be why. The vaginal dryness is bad so we use a lot of ky jelly

I'm 56 and I hate sex now. I was prescribed estradiol cream and it helps with the dryness but sex isn't pleasurable at all. The other issue is that my partner never gives me cues either physically or verbally to have sex. I always have to pursue him which is a real drag.

I am 66, and I didn't experience any of the things you mentioned. My sex life is better. I did experience the dryness in my early 40, but not now. I never was a foreplay type of girl, lol😅 Thank you for the great information as always!!
