How Splatoon 1 Players See Splatoon 2

While most of the splatoon community migrated to splatoon 2 when it came out, there’s still a few players on Splatoon 1. Whether they can’t afford a switch or they just prefer splatoon 1’s playstyle more, there’s still a good chunk of them playing the new IP. So with this video I decided to get in the heads of splatoon 1 players (since I already did it with splatoon 2 players) and show how they think of splatoon 1. From salmon run to the octo expansion I made sure to include pretty much all of splatoon 2’s content. What were your first impressions of splatoon 2 when you saw or played it. *Splatoon 2 is bad because it doesn't have Inkstrikes, case closed.* All jokes aside, as someone who is also stuck with Splatoon but get a chance to play Splatoon 2, it's good all around and I especially loved the Octo Expansion. However I do not like the fact that the not so convinient mini map has changed the playstyle of Splatoon 2 players in a negative way. I barely see people use them anymore, which is a shame because it is super useful in telling where and what stuff is there.

The inkstrike is been replaced by the booyah bomb (a.k.a spirit bomb). now nintendo has to either bring back the kraken or they have to replace it.

@@terrawr_BYTES Well yeah that's true but kraken is like a moving tank that's kills everyone in it's way. while the baller is also a moving tank but it bounces of other inklings and it takes about 3 seconds to explode. so they really need to make a good replacement for the kraken or else I'm done with this game.

I never played Splatoon but I think that it is bad the Nintendo switch online, because you have to pay a lot for the game, the octo expansion and the membership. I hope that Nintendo will forgot the Nintendo switch online and playing online splatoon2 will be free again.

Well, Nintendo is pretty good compared to other game companies. For Xbox, it's about $60 for access to online stuff for a year, which is retarded. Switch Online is not good, but at least it's way better than the competition.

Splatoon 1 is so hard for me to go back on. It's so unfair, perfect gear isn't possible, and it lags mid-match which is annoying. Splatoon 2 is such an improvement I will stick with that.

Despite the fact I mostly play Sploon 2 now, I still purrsonally like the first better. Mostly because a good amount of people in there are so goddamn nice and want to squidparty. To me it feels like so many people on Sploon 2 are a bit of assholes. Like you could probably squidparty and most would kill you with no remorse (of course that's in both games but first game players might just ignore or join, like me :>). The only time I ever get to party is during Salmond run and that's before the next round starts.

I found a hacker in rainmaker on Splatoon 1 the other day. They basically used hacks to have an infinite lasting bomb rush, grabbed the rainmaker, and then disappeared with the rainmker. I was like... wtf? So me and my teammates basically just kept repeatedly killing the enemy team, but we couldn't get the rainmaker due to the hacker and we lost. Yes I was pretty pissed, but I wouldn't have minded so much if they made it so that my rank got retained when losing to a hacker.

Tbh as a splatoon 1 player, I was quite upset when certain components were missing, but I also liked the changes! It gave me more of a challenge with the new weapons and the new salmon runs, and I figured it out over time. I almost can't stop playing splatoon 2 now. While it does have its ups and downs though, I'll never be dissing the original. :)

In the story sheldon is sooooo annoying because you always had to use the weapons HE gives you

Only played the second one. Got the Splatoon 2 bundle and I love the game. Should play it more. Kinda wish there were some old Subs and Specials from the first game though.
