Dragonite is my favorite pokemon, and i use him almost every time possible. One detail you missed, is that Dratini can be found in both game corners in Kanto and Johto games. Amazing video as always

You missed a couple of earlier ways to get Dratini in the early games. You can get Dratini in the Rocket Game Corner in Red, Blue, (Not Yellow), Fire Red, and Leaf Green, and in the Goldenrod Game Corner in Gold/Silver, (Not Crystal), and HeartGold/Soulsilver.

I say one thing you forgot to mention is in heart gold and soul silver is that you can get dratini in the game corner in goldenrod city for 2,100 coins so you can have it as early as gym 3

You can get Dratini from the Goldenrod city game corner (before the 3rd Badge) in Pokemon Silver and the Gen 4 remakes. Also in Sword and Shield you can get it from a Rare Den raid(s) or Dynamax adventures (as a Dragonair) before the first gym! Only with the DLC however. This is a massive amount of time you can use the Dragonite line in these games that you missed.

Check out Eddakets speedrun of Pokemon Sword with DLC where he obtains a Dragonite before Badge 1. Eddaket beats the entire game in 4 Hours and 3 Minutes using only a Sobble for the first section (approx 30 minutes), and a Dragonite for the remainder of the run! This just shows how early you can obtain Dragonite in Gen 8, as well as how quickly he can be evolved and utilised as a Dragonite during this Generation.

In HGSS you can get Dratini from the Pokewalker and play through the whole game with it. I've done this, it's pretty fun.

A lot of people don't have a Pokèwalker (I think so). So it's best to get a Dratini from the Game Corner in Goldenrod or to get one with Extremespeed in Dragon's Den.

I'd love to see one of these videos done for Vileplume. It is there since Gen one, oddish appears 5 unique generations before Post-Game (6 if you count Pokemon-banking it in your game) It has a stat line weaker than Venusaur, but sufficient to be a decent replacement for a grass starter. It has never really ben a "Best" but ... Just how strong would Vileplume be in every pokemon game?

For gen 8, it’s possible to get Dragonair earlier. If you get to the Dynamax Lair then you can encounter and catch Dragonair. Unlike finding this in the wild, you need 0 gym badges as you just have to battle Peony, and you don’t even need to beat him. They will be overlevelled, but if you breed it at the daycare then you can avoid being too overlevelled with it.

in my opinion there is one thing that wasn't brought up for S/G/C which may be of note. It can also be gotten lv 10 in the game corner in goldenrod if you want it early on which then helps with rival fights pre blackthron city as well as grants you a surf mon that can then be fairly versitile if you are careful for other fights. It also would have EVs in time for Clair as well as Lance.

I used a dragonair in Pokemon fire Red (my first championship winning game) . But I wasn't able to evolve it because I need to be level 55 . And I was 49 . And I was not that pro at that time and didn't knew when does it even evolve

I'm surprised you picked this as a subject since it's such a late-game investment. Also in Red/Fire Red you can get a dratini for 2800 coins at the game corner. If you sell your vitamins, you can pick it up your first time in Celadon. I want to see Golem in this video. It's a trade evo so you snub it from best team's but even if you keep it as a Graveler, it's such a beast

During the RB games. I always saved up all my money. Spending as little as possible until I got to Celadon. Pretty much buy him from the game corner and I have him very early on in the game to start training.

In HGSS, it is a lot more doable than GSC due to not investing a lot of coins, but grinding it up is a whole different story unless if you grind the BoltBeam Flamethrower TMs along with it in HGSS.

this may be offensive to some people but whenever i use dragonite in an ingame playthrough(especially unova) i just make him/her my HM Slave. it basically learns every HM and also can hit hard with those HM moves due to having a base stat total of 600. so yeah Dragonite is pretty convenient as an HM Slave. i see no other use for Dragonite(excluding competitive play with multiscale). your welcome for offending many of you.

Before I watch this video. I did a Clash of the titans on my Platinum game, I traded Dratini from SoulSilver, and then got Dragonite to lvl 62, to battle it out with Synthias Garchomp. I got out sped and that demon slamed me into the ground. I'm now lvl'ing it up for the rematch!

Fly does less than Wing Attack mathematically. 135 STAB Fly is less than 180 STAB Wing Attack thanks to it being 2 Turn move in addition of having a chance of missing.

You can actually get to the crown tundra by letting Peony beat you, and than you can find a Dratini from the Max Lairs, so you could technically use Dratini through the whole play through

Was wondering why after all these years I’ve been slacking on dragonite, I always never really cared for it but after trying soul silver for the first time he’s a very strong Pokémon to use late game, was annoying to level up due to the type of move set early game but after getting passed all that my dragonite was a beast.

So my favourite Pokemon is actually Dragonair, and my husband likes to bug me about how I NEVER evolve my Dragonair during playthroughs, especially in Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee
